We were traveling from Illinois to Signaw michigan for a wedding on a late friday evening. The…read moresteering went out on our car, about 15 miles from our destination. We had never been there before so we had it towed to a local Ford dealer in Signaw. We had to be back in Illinois by the following Monday. The next morning I tried to call the Dealership several times, to tell them what we had done, but no answer. The fourth time i called, I misdialed and got Notth End Auto Service. A guy named Abraham answered. I told him our problem. He said he would try very hard to get it fixed that day ( which was Saturday) . I gave them permission to go to the dealership and get our car and fix it. Abraham kept in touch about their progress. They had to go several miles to get the part, which basically was the whole steering system for the car. They close at 5:00, so at 3:45 Abraham called and said he would have someone to come to our hotel to pick us up because they were nearing completing the job . We drove away in our car at 4:45. We can not praise Abraham and his mechanics enough for the way they handled our situation. 10 stars seems so small for what we think of their complete service. We would give them a million stars but not enough room. Btw, we checked with our mechanic at home, not telling Abraham 's price. He was close to 25% higher than we paid North End Auto Service My name is Gary Meritt in Sullivan Illinois.

Outstanding!! Honest, friendly, family run…read more I know some complain when they cannot get in somewhere based on their schedule, and that can be challenging, but to me a place being very busy is a sign of great, honest work, that people trust, and that's what I'm looking for. They stay non-stop busy so it's best to make arrangements to leave the vehicle the night before, or get there when the open at 8AM. If you get there after 9 you'll find that enough people have already showed up to keep them busy all day..that's a sign of great reputation, showing the community trust them. I highly recommend!!!

They don't take appt.'s only walk-in service. I have came here on four or five different visits to get a vehicle or two checked out and they are ALWAYS full! Im thinking ok It's 11am I'll be able to get my vehicle looked at...BUT 'NO WAY' you guessed it they're full for the rest off the day. If you come in for a minor check or something they always say they're full or they have enough cars for the day you'll have to come back another day. The staff is ok BUT don't go out their way in the least to accomodate you or your vehicle needs. Yes they answer your questions very vaguely and quickly BUT seem like they don't want to be bothered. They always say 'come back another day'. So unless your right there at opening time, I suggest spending your valuable time, & money elsewhere based on accountability.

They dealt with the insurance company so we didn't have to, used genuine parts vs that aftermarket junk the insurance company tried to make us use. The second time we needed to get the windshield replaced it was an older but nice van that had a little rust by the top of the windshield so they gave me a very reasonable estimate to fix it while replacing the broken windshield. Both times, they were very professional and the paint job and body work for both turned out perfect and the work was done on time... what more can you expect! I feel they took the time to do it right vs get you in and out and thats whats important to me!
