I have been to quite a few barbers, stylists, hairdressers, beauticians etc, and Crazy Classics is the best I've been to, period. His prices are significantly affordable, for the time and care he puts into hair and beard. Great vibe in the shop, and great family that runs the shop. Every other barber I've seen around my LA area (eagle rock, highland park, echo park, Glendale, etc) they either do ok, or complete disappointment. Even on their "worst" day at crazy classics, I feel the service and care supersedes any of my other experiences elsewhere. $27 for hair and beard & straight shave...quality of the work is two to ten times every other cut I've had in my life. Also want to mention, I drive 45 min to go here. I moved from the area 2 years ago, have tried other barbers closer to home, and you just can't find the same quality and artistry elsewhere it seems. No Parking! I was worried about being towed away while I waited over an hour! These guys are nice. There is a lead-guy that sort so switches between guys [like he is training them] I took my 4 year old son and paid $35 Dollars or me and him. What the?!? Walked in during my lunch break to get a quick cut and only had to wait just a few minutes as Abraham was finishing up. This was my first time coming in and as I walked through the door I was instantly greeted by the friendly staff and luckily I was the next one to get cut. The shop is a small and intimate location heavily decorated with that classic barber shop feel. Even their fan was a nice and vintage/antique look. Definitely far from the hangout type of barber shops that have sports on big screens, pool tables, and video games. This isn't you're typical fade n taper assembly line barber spot...although abe gave me a great fade. Very professional and friendly service. Had a good little chat for being my first time coming. Abe is by himself with assistants to help. So my only con would be that if it's busy and you don't have an appointment...you might be sitting for awhile. But that's clearly an assumption because I got lucky during my walk in experience. I've been here twice and will keep coming back. These guys did a great job both times I went. Had two different guys do my hair and beard. I didn't get their names, but I was happy with both of them. This last time they got me in right away since I had my 7 month old son with me. My son was quiet most of the time and when he got fussy, the barber stopped what he was doing and allowed me to calm him down. Price is always been fair and acceptable. read more

I moved to Phillips Ranch about a year ago and have been looking for a new barber, especially one that uses a straight razor. Well, after months of barber shop hoping I found the spot. This is my second cut here and this place has not disappointed. I have had two separate cuts by two separate stylist and this place is with the business! Cuts by the owner are precise and his straight razor skills are superb. Today I got a cut by a girl named Sharee, she has mad skills and could handle a razor to the face like a veteran. Overall, the amount of stars they received by me has been well earned. Atmosphere inside is legit and conversations are worth having here. Sometimes at other places I feel like I'm forcing small talk, here it's natural. Parking is decent, place is clean and everything looks well sanitized. I highly recommend this place. read more

The only legit old timey barbershop ambiance I've seen on this side of LA. Was simply passing through the area and just Yelped in hopes of finding a good barbershop. This led me to Crazy Classics Barbershop. The owner is named Abraham, and he's the reason most people come to get their haircuts here, as I grew to learn. I came on the day before the 4th of July, and I knew I wasn't going to be the only one in the shop. Abrahams line was 4 deep when I showed up. Just to keep the flow of people going, he set me up with one of his other barbers, who seemed to be learning. Granted, he was a decent barber, but a haircut is nothing to be taken lightly - nothing but the best is expected. Abraham said he would make sure I came out looking clean, and finish my cut up, which he did, as per his word. I came out looking really good, with the blends of my haircut and line ups looking fresh. I was pleased to find no strays on my head, after running my hand through my hair various times. Kudos to that. Overall, a good experience here. The only downside I felt to this place was the fact that everything seemed to be in a rush. Yes, efficiency is always a good thing, but I felt pressured, and I think that even the barber who started me off did too, to just get a haircut as quickly as possible. Dude I came in looking for a cut one day and it turned out to be my go too barber now. I moved out here from La Puente and no regrets on switching barbershops. Abraham is a cool as guy always has a cool vibe always joking around. The one thing I love about his shop is that it's always clean and he cleans his tools after every cut which I think a lot of barbers hardly do. For my I rate his cleanliness a 10/10 skills 10/10 people skill are a 10/10 overall overall shop is a 9/10 only because the shop is kinda small, but he is working on making it bigger so it will soon be a 10/10. So this is the second time that I visit this place. The first time I was blown away by the customer service and the attention to detail that these barbers provide. I'm really picky and wanted a clean cut fast! I came both times during work hrs and there I was greeted with an old school style barber feel. Real comfortable and friendly. The hrs however cause concern, I've passed by several other times hoping to get a hair cut after work and I can never seem to get the hrs of operation down. Of course during the day there wasn't a long wait and the prices are great. Considering the rate every barbershop is going for now for a cut. Abraham took his time made sure my cut was neat and straight. I honestly told him I wanted a taper and didn't have to describe what I wanted anymore than that.
