Been coming here for the last few years and plan to make it a lifetime membership. The shop is nestled in the Northwest end of the parking lot and offers a variety of men's cuts to people from all walks of life. Leo is the business owner and an all around stand up guy. Not only does he run a solid business but he treats each and every one of his customers with care, patience and of course a killer fade. Prices are extremely fair and all the barbers do a fantastic job every time I come in. Would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. read more

Took my 3 year old for a haircut, everywhere I've gone it's difficult he fights it, i see the frustration in people cutting his hair. Not hear, my son had the same reaction but Miellenia was patient, her co-workers were all understanding and help calm him. I am truly grateful and amazed. Great place for a great haircut, the owner and crew are friendly and professional. Appointments are easy to make online and there's never a wait when I get there. I'm pretty sure I've gotten a cut from every barber and always leave really happy. This is a small, local business that serves and represents our community! My eight year old son loves Uppercuts 99; they have a free video game counsel, big screen TVs showing movies, and they do a nice job cutting children's hair. I saw several lads getting haircuts the day I took him to get his. Friendly welcoming vibe. read more

This is my second time bringing my kids and Junior has been amazing. He really pays attention to detail and my older son really likes how he's attentive when cutting your hair. He also cut my younger sons hair today with just scissors and did a great job. Both my kids are very satisfied with their hair. We will definitely continue to come with junior . The shop is clean , has ample space to park and takes walk ins and appts. Side note : as a mom I appreciate that we are in and out quick with him. It was a pretty good cut and trim. Ivan was attentive and there weren't any cuts or bumps. He kept the conversation going here and there. Made sure I got what I wanted. Took about 40ish minutes, a bit longer than one of the spots I go to but I also got a hot towel here so that accounted for the additional time. Price was $50 which is a bit more than the franchise chains but a bit less than another independent own barbershop by my house. Very clean and roomy shop they have here with great barbers and personalities. If I was in the area and wanted a cut, I'd definitely go back.

There's so much I have to say about this place! Amazing experience and very friendly barbers all around. The atmosphere is great, been here 3 times and each time they had really good movies playing. Now time to talk about my cut, it was done to perfection and with a lot of patience. My barber was Manny and I had scheduled an appointment with him. I was his last client and they normally close at 4:40 and my appointment was at 4 so he was kind enough to still cut me up. Manny was excellent from the start. Took his time and was in no rush even though I was his last client. He darkened my beard and my taper was so clean. No other barber has took that much time on cutting my hair. Just shows that he actually cares about the qualities on his cuts and his craft. Once the cut was done, he asked if he could take pictures of my cut and by all means I was all for it. The cut was amazing. He was in no rush even though I was he only client and the shop was already closed for 30mins after he was done with my cut. He really knows how to appreciate his clients. This has been one of the best barbershops I have been to in a while. My son is four years old and Kay has a way with kids. He made my son feel very comfortable and was extremely interactive. He has a lot of patience and skills. His design and braiding skills are amazing. He is a very unique and talented barber. Evaluating all of the barbers they carry a sense of pride and joy when cutting hair. They interact with all of their clients and leave them looking and feeling good. Yes it may be loud at times, however it is a barber shop. Any time my son was brought into the barber shop the television was changed to the appropriate channel without me mentioning anything. That shows a lot of respect to their clients and I appreciate it very much!! I moved to neighboring Claremont a year ago not knowing where my son and I can get a haircut. Tried a few local establishments locally and wasn't very convenience. I'm sure something was missing from my experience while I sitting in the chair. Came across (Upper Cuts) and Leo welcomed my son and I. Decent size shop, cool waiting area with tv's playing and other times music. Really feeling the vibe. Listening to the barbers having a conversation about the most random or most recent happenings is great It only wants to make you join in. My first experience here was awesome. I'm sure I'm usually not their clientele because my hair was around 10in+ long. With that being said they were very easy going and helpful with my longer hair. I've tried different places in the area and I couldn't really get what I wanted but these guys know their stuff! I didn't make an appointment so I had to wait a little longer than most granted I didn't book an appointment so I suggest doing so. I was there with the barbers all working with a small line waiting for 15 to 20 minutes. All in all I'll definitely be coming back next time I need a clean up. read more

Upper Cuts is the most solid barber shop in the area. With decent competition in the surrounding area, they continue to set themselves apart by consistently providing the highest quality cuts. Customer service is always amazing and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. They develop great working relationships with their customers, I never feel like just another customer who comes and goes. They all remember their regulars. I've been coming for a few years and I have had no complaints what so ever. Jerry usually cuts my hair for me and always does an amazing job as well as the other barbers when I see their work as I go. With that being said you don't have to worry about who cuts your hair when you walk in. Walk-in's are welcomed but if you can schedule an appoint I do recommend one. The shop has a welcoming and warm environment and they always have a movie or good music on. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fresh cut. read more

This has become my favorite place to come to, before i would go to any barbershop n get a haircut until I came here and realized what a great haircut is supposed to look and feel like. The young men were very nice and funny, they also performed a hot towel shave! I didnt even know barbers still did that! It was very relaxing. I have been coming to Uppercuts Barber shop for a couple of months or so. I'm always warmly welcomed and treated exceptionally. Every time I leave, I feel like a new man. Especially today. Best barbershop in the LA county!, my family comes here for haircuts and its honestly one of the most peaceful environments I've seen or taken my kids to for a haircut. I took my kids here for the first time, the barbers welcomed my kids and I right when we walked in. There is a tv and Leo put on a movie to keep my boys occupied while they got their haircut! These dudes are the homies!!!! Watched Leo, Sam and Jerry start off in some a shop so small they could barely fit 3 barber chairs in it.
