    Penne with Italian bacon

Stopped for lunch after hiking the Path of the Gods. Excellent food! My husband had a "crazy burger" which was huge and one of the best burgers he has ever had. I had the penne with tomatoes, basil, and Italian bacon that was so good that we had to buy 2 more portions and an extra burger to eat later. The owner, Antonio Cuomo, is wonderful. He sat with us and told us about the town, Naples soccer, and other great restaurants along the coast. He streams the FFC Napoli games and Maradonna has eaten here! Lovely shaded patio in front. Free public parking lot Across the street. Great place.

Pasta and salad. The food here is fresh from their own Garden !

We went in October and it didn't seem too busy at most places. We got a lovely seat with a view on their patio. The service and food was great! The restaurant itself was quiet and had a vintage hidden away feel to it. We ordered: Prosciutto and mozzarella 8/10 Seafood pasta: noodles were over cooked and soggy but flavor was great. I'll give it a 7/10 Seafood assortment: Some of the fishes were great others were too oceany like it wasn't prepared properly. 7/10 Affogato 9/10 Spritz 8/10 not bitter and prepared well Overall the food was good, some things were just hit or miss. I would go back and try some of the other options the restaurant has to offer.

The restaurant has one of the best views in Positano from the east side which is usually not appreciated as much as the west side. The whole terrace area and tableware is a pastel lover's paradise. We ordered Mezzi paccheri pasta with shrimps, lemon and basil, and Tiramisu. I absolutely loved each and every dish and especially the lemon pasta - so refreshing! The tiramisu was more like a pastry but still good.

First of all the restaurant in located in a small hotel with a fabulous view of the coast of the Amalfi coast. The staff is meticulous presentation from the cups to the plates. We were giving some bread and dried crackers to start with. The waiter recommended some off menu items since we were such a huge party of salt crusted sea bass with some olive zucchini and potatoes as the entree and a seafood pasta as a first course. This was the best choice we could have made. The food was absolutely delicious with so much favor and the presentation was amazing. I could not stop licking the sauce from the sea food pasta. By the end of it I was full and satisfied. The night was perfect with the attentive staff and the ambiance at the restaurant. I will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend this place to anyone near the area.

After being tricked by tourist traps via TripAdvisor all over Rome, I'm glad we found this place! - Ambiance (Yay) was great, no tacky checkered table cloths and good amount of elbow room here - Service (€3 pp, eh) started off well when we arrived early but was VERy slow when more guests arrived - Parking @7 on Monday if you drive yourself is decent, street parking Food (YAY): - free bread (ok): haven't really had "good" bread in Italy besides pizza type dough tbh. I'm a fan of crusty Spanish bread, French croissants, etc but the bread here generally doesn't cut it - minestrone (€12, yay): lots of veggies like onions, tomatoes and potatoes, not super acidic - gnocchi (€14, yay): fresh and tangy but sweet tomatoes, perfectly cooked gnocchi - sea bass (€24, yay): basically steamed, cooked in water and served with a mostly tomato-based slightly thickened sauce - steak (€22, SO said yay): sans-fat, served with butter/roasted rosemary potatoes Dessert (NAY): - lemon dessert cake (€10 - meh): overly sweet filling and cake, but the cake was moist - mousse w/strawberries (€10 - BoOoo): wrongly tempted by the "made from our garden" strawberries, this was super super sweet and lost the "fresh" aspect TLDR: great views, would recommend for a romantic dinner - not the cheapest but quality ingredients and friendly overall. Save some € and pass on the desserts though.

The evening starts with their complimentary shuttle up the hill (a huge plus on those winding roads), and from the first greeting, the staff make you feel like family. We ordered a spread and every dish delivered. The truffle ravioli was luxuriously rich and silky, easily one of the best pastas I've had in Italy. The steak was perfectly seared and served with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables in a creamy sauce, comforting yet refined. The bruschetta came loaded with prosciutto, shaved Parmesan, and sweet cherry tomatoes, simple but so delicious. Dessert was a highlight: their tiramisu, layered in a glass jar, was light, creamy, and paired perfectly with the complimentary limoncello and meloncello shots. They have an impressive wine cellar, and both the Brunello and Barolo we tried were fantastic; bold, smooth, and beautifully balanced with the food. From start to finish, Il Ritrovo blends warmth, authenticity, and flavor in a way that captures everything you hope an Italian dinner will be. Absolutely worth the trip up the hill.
