Ok this was our first time here. It was slow, but after tasting their chicken wings I can't understand why... The owner greeted us and sat down and talked to us while or order was being prepared. She did tell us it would take 8-10 minutes for our order. So she gave us glasses of water, a shot of summer great tasting fruit saki and edamame to snack on. We learned about her family, other customers, and why she started her business... by the time we left I felt like I knew her like family. I truly appreciate the genuineness from her. Ok, so now about the restaurant. It is minimally decorated, but still nice. There are a couple of TV's if you wanted to sit, have a drink, eat, and watch a game. I was really happy with the wings and the waffle fries we had. There different flavors - CRAZY was just a little too spicey for my but not for hubby! Luckily I had the strawberry macaroon ice cream sandwich to help me cool off! BTW-get one! We will be back to try other items on the menu and if we're lucky enough, sit down and have another chat. Update (Take Out): I walked in and ordered lunch for me and a friend to take back to work. As I was waiting, I was pleasantly surprised when I was handed an ice water with lemon in a to-go cup and edamame while I sat at the table and waited. Major customer service points. My coworker thought lunch was delicious and is now a customer of Crazy BBQ too. I am a big creature of habit and when I like something, I will eat it non stop addictive like, every single day. It's kind of a problem. I cannot stop eating at this place. What makes it 1000 times worse is that they're on Uber Eats. So I can easily divide my time between eating there or the major convenience of having it delivered to my house. My current addiction is the 6 pc chicken wings with chipotle mayo sauce. I also order a side of Korean salad, pickled radish, and kimchee. The wings are nice and crispy. They're doused in sauce and extra is always given on the side. (No one likes stingy sauce places.) The pickled radish is pretty spot on to how my mom always makes hers. And was a nice change of flavor going back and forth between the wings and pickled radish. My kids got a side of fries and of course ice cream macaroon sandwich for dessert. I've seen them in pictures and misjudged the size. They're a lot smaller than I thought, but my middle child is obsessed with tiny things so he was absolutely pleased. My older more glutinous one maybe not so much, but still devoured it while giving it praises. Service is always excellent when we dine in. And I have to say, when Uber e delivers I've noticed they don't completely close the bag. They tie it but leave it open for ventilation so the food doesn't get all soggy in transit. I didn't know that Bakersfield became so diverse today! There's korean, Japanese, Mediterranean, Mexican mix. Came here on the way to another end destination but was so glad that I had the opportunity to grab dinner here! The restaurant was small, seems like it's family owned and I was served by a very friendly mom like individual. I got some Korean fried chicken wings and a bulgogi rice dish. Everything was seasoned well and portion sizes were perfect. We even got a side of kimchi. The interior of the restaurant was like your hanging out outdoors, perhaps because there was a big picnic table for large parties, then there were some small café style tables. There were also some TVs on the wall so you could watch the game if it was on. I also had the opportunity to visit the bathrooms so cute and clean - thank you restaurant sometimes that's when you know if the restaurant keeps an eye out and maintains. Great food and good service, but it is on the other side of town! We were greeted with salads and edamame while we looked over the menu. The lady was consistent in asking if we needed anything and to fill our drinks up. My husband and I went with the Korean Galibi and the 12 piece crazy wings with the crazy spicy, sweet chili, and spicy mayo sauce. The crazy spicy wasn't spicy at all, but all three flavors were great while my personal favorite was the spicy mayo sauce. They also provide the sauces on the side for dipping. The only negative from this dining experience is the price for the strawberry macaroon. The size of it didn't match the price, $4. I'd be okay paying $3. My fiancè told me about it after her co worker had ordered wings and brought to work . So we decided to give it a try a few days later . We came in and were greeted by the Owner which I didn't catch her Name. We knew right off the back we wanted to order the Wings . Then scanning through the menu we also ordered whole fried chicken plain for the kids , Beef Bugoli, kimchi , beef and chicken ramen . So it was a Feast for us . Starting with the wings , super crispy even when covered in sauce , not one bit of oil/grease and the Sweet chili Sauce was amazing as were the other sauces too . This small gem is located in a small strip mall. It is a family Korean BBQ restaurant which has just been in business for one year. We arrived in Bakersfield at 8:36 pm and a bit hungry. Looked up Yelp and found this restaurant about 4 miles from our hotel. Rushed to this place and arrived at 8:47 pm. They close at 9 pm. Expected the staffs to be less than happy (or even grumpy). But, no, the server (later found out to be the owner) was friendly and hospitable. Since it was so close to closing, we decided to just order take out. But, the owner still asked if we wanted ice water while waiting. Then, she brought out a bowl of edamame for us to munch; complimentary. Wow, what a service. She patiently explained the items on the menu and took our order. Suggested the dishes based on our preferences and the number of people. Located in a plaza and can be considered a hole in the wall. Came here on Wednesday night & it was dead, our family were the only ones there. Staff here are friendly, maybe too friendly. The lady can be a bit overly touchy and made my kid cry, but she felt bad and tried to give free treats and drink to make it up haha. Prices here are on the high side, but it seems like that's the trend here in Bakersfield, especially for Asian food. I understand the "no competition" model, but soon you might not have any customers and a business if your prices are too high and your food doesn't justify it. Fortunately, the food here was good. Only ordered two items, the cheese Tteok-bokki and garlic chicken wings. Came out to almost $40 with tax. These cheese Tteok-bokki was good, but not for $19. I work on the east side. I hate it. There isn't anything there except my job. I was so happy to hear Crazy BBQ had opened. I had to stay late at work so I finally made it there for dinner. It was totally worth it! Talked my friend into going with me. He was jazzed to try a new place. We were still early for dinner and the only two people there. Lovely woman brought us menus and drinks. She asked if we'd been there before. We told her no. She walked us through the whole menu and every dish to us. She told me bulgogi meant meat with no bones. Perfect for me! We ordered beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi and mixed tempura. The heaping plate of tempura came first. Delicious, crispy veggies with a dipping sauce. A great start. We got salads before our meal. The salad was fresh and crisp with a slightly spicy dressing. The bulgogi and rice came last. The beef bulgogi had thinly sliced beef, fresh veggies and a sweet sauce. The pork bulgogi was thinly sliced pork, veggies and a spicy sauce. Both were delicious. They were a nice balance...one sweet, one spicy. We also had bowls of purple rice on the side. There's just something delicious about meat, veggies, and rice - especially when there's a sweet and spicy Korean sauce with it! It was around 7pm and I had it in my mind that Crazy BBQ was meant to be. I headed to the East side (all the way from Rosedale). It took a good 15 minutes, but for the distance, it didn't seem like much time at all. It isn't much to look at from the outside. In fact, you'd probably be a little leery of what was on the other side of the door if you didn't research this beforehand. But let me tell you, what's beyond the door is five-star service and food. The bowls are a little on the pricey side. About $13 each. But there was plenty of food there that lasted two meals for each of us. I ordered the chicken bowl and the spicy pork bowl. While both were good the pork excelled in flavor, texture, and overall spice. Takeout didn't take very long, but the lady who rang me up offered me ice water and was very kind about my wait. Which wasn't more than 7 minutes. Inside is really nice and has great ambiance. Even some Korean soap opera's on the TV's! I look forward to returning and trying their chicken wings! read more

The noodles were really bland, and the chicken was dry. Had a bite of my friends beef bulgogi bowl tho and that was divine. The side salad was great too, their dressing is sick. I am a bbq junkie, there aint no denying it. There is also no denying that this joint is NOT a bbq joint. This is a Korean joint that is freely using the word BBQ. And for those who have traveled away from Bako and know what proper Korean BBQ is, this aint it. This is the kind of joint where you walk in, order something and it will magically appear in a bowl of rice. The biggest difference between this place and other places is that A) this is cost more and B) this place seems to use fresher ingredients. I was hovering between three stars and four. Working on the far east side of Bakersfield has become a little easier. Crazy BBQ offers a complete menus full of your favorite Korean BBQ classics. On my last visit I shared the beef bulgogi and a spicy pork ramen. I started the meal tasting the rice and beef, savoring every single bite. It's tender and sweet. I then moved onto the ramen and it definitely fulfilled my soup cravings. The taste was unlike any of the other ramens I've had, but it was delicious. To top it all off, the host was amazing. She was able to guide us with her suggestions and she even showed my girlfriend the proper way to eat the ramen. It was sweet. This place is definitely recommended. Provecho!
