Ok so it isnmy first time here. I came here with my wife (as is my custom) and immediately greeted and only one other person inside. I love these settings. Quicker service. I ordered the seafood ramen spicy, order of 6 crazy wings for an app and ny wife ordered the beef bulgogi bowl. We were given a small bowl of salted edamame. The restaurant is very clean and kept up. Highly disappointed! Used to love this place but definitely won't be returning. I understand inflation is affecting businesses but you can't go and raise the price on your menu items and lower your standards at the same time. This place is a must try. Easily the best Korean food in Bakersfield. I was craving beef Bulgogi and spicy pork bibimbop and so I bought them here, the food came out quickly and is SO DELICIOUS. Their tofu skin and variety of kimchi is also wonderful. The service was top notch, I felt like I was welcomed in to their family. And the ambiance is adorable! The decor is very nice and I was able to watch a sporting event on TV while I waited for my to go order. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. Was fantastic! The owners were super friendly and helpful. The crazy spicy chicken is the way to go. It is definitely not crazy spicy. A little sweet, the right amount of heat, and a good tang at the end. They have a few selections of Japanese beer as well. This time around I just got the crazy spicy chicken and the pork ribs. I'm a huge Korean Fried Chicken (the real KFC) fan and have been since my medical school days in Washington, D.C. And L.A. has great places to get my KFC fix. So when I heard from colleagues about Crazy BBQ I had to check it out. I've now been twice, and I can honestly say: I'm hooked. I've had both their whole chicken and chicken wings, and I give the slight edge to the wings because you seem to get more sauce coverage. Both their spicy and soy flavors are great, but you should not dismiss their plain fried chicken as well: It's more reminiscent of southern fried chicken with the Korean crisp. Whole and half chicken orders come with pickled radish/daikon to add some acidity to the fattiness of the KFC. And the salad here has the best Korean dressing I've tasted. I would come here for the salad and dressing alone, as the spicy/briny dressing pairs so well with the KFC. My cousin ordered the kalbi (short ribs), and they're also tasty. And my sister raves about the vegetarian broth ramen. It's nice to have so much variety at a Korean restaurant here in town. This little gem on the Eastside is worth the trip for me. The egg rolls and the potstickers are fantastic! Both were made fresh and had great flavor! The spicy chicken bowl is actually really spicy, so beware. The beef bowl was okay. I personally didn't really enjoy the flavor of either of the bowls. So for that reason I probably wont be a returning customer. But I would recommend people to give it a try. read more

I take Yelp reviews serious which is why I tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth... -We came here on a whim returning from out of town, we normally do not venture to the East Side of Bakersfield a whole lot but since we were on the freeway just entering Bakersfield we said lets check it out. As we parked it was rather empty but it's a huge shopping center so you never know. As we walked in we were greeted instantly but there were no other customers, while this does not scare us it did makes us wonder. After a few minutes of looking at the menu we were ready to order: * Kalbi Beef with Rice: This was my pick and I was greatly satisfied with it, the beef was tender, the broccoli had the right amount of crisp to it and the rice was cooked to my liking. The Korean BBQ marinade is well rooted into the meat and screams UMAMI as it dances across your taste buds. This was a definite highlight during dinner and recommend to anyone who visits. * Chicken Wings (Crazy Spicy & Sweet Chili): I absolutely love chicken wings, I will try them almost anywhere and can talk for days with someone who adores chicken wings like I do. Crazy BBQ knows what they are doing when they fry their wings, super tender meat with crazy crispiness. We tried two of their sauce flavors, Crazy Spicy & Sweet Chili. Neither were real spicy but the Crazy Spicy has a nice heat that hums a bit with a touch of sweetness. The Sweet Chili wasn't amazing but only because we eat sweet chili every now and then at home. They didn't do anything to enhance it, they just poured it but since it is a favorite at home, we loved the chicken wings doused in it. * Pork Ramen, Beef Ramen & Seafood Ramen: We ordered one of each, my wife the seafood, one son the pork and our other son the beef. I am not trying to challenge their culinary skills, hardwork or anything of that sort but each one of these bowls of ramen seemed like it was put together without too much thought and love. The noodles looked to be pulled straight out of a Top Ramen/Maruchan package you buy at the grocery store, the broth was super diluted with water (very bland) and the ingredients were not fresh, some were canned. For instance the seafood ramen contained imitation crab, which we eat at home so not a problem, but in the ramen it didn't go with it. Then it had oysters but were canned oysters, the texture was a bit slimy and taste was poor. -I have not been to a lot of ramen places so I'm not comparing to high-end ramen spots, this is compared to O Ramen and Kamisama Ramen here in Bakersfield. I think they really need to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better ramen dish. This could really propel their business to a whole new level and be on par with their other dishes that are of a higher quality. -There are other items I would love to come back to try, Spicy Chicken Stone/Melted Cheese, Beef Bulgogi, Pork Spare Galbi and their regular fried chicken. Their sides were quite good, the pickle radish was super refreshing and salad was not bad, could use less dressing. -I really wanted this place to soar with 5 stars especially after reading others reviews but just cannot, I am faltering between a 2 and a 3 but since the ramen was poorly constructed (in my opinion) I will go down to a 2. But do not take my review to heart, try this place for yourself, every has different tastes, different palettes and maybe you will find that one dish that makes you call Crazy BBQ your favorite place to eat. read more

This place is in a strip mall near the outskirts of Bakersfield College. It's easy to see and ample parking in front of the business. The menu is simple and the food is actually very good. It's a non-traditional Korean menu but if you ask the owner to bring certain dishes, she will. The bulgogi bowl has lots of meat over brown rice and vegetables. There is something about the simplicity of a meat, veggie, and rice bowl. They work in all types of cuisines - Mexican, Mediterranean, Indian, and now I'm happy to say, Korean as well. Crazy BBQ has mastered Korean BBQ bowls. I had the Spicy Chicken bowl and my husband had the Pork Bulgogi bowl and both were really good. What I really loved about Crazy BBQ was that our party of four walked in, and asked for take-out but the hostess really made the waiting experience pleasant. She brought us lemon ice water and fresh edamame to snack on while we waited. After we placed our orders, she brought us mini salads to sample - and not only was this a really nice gesture, but they were really delicious. Small and kind gestures like this really elevate our dining experiences and truly, make the difference in whether or not we plan to come back to your establishment. Was craving Korean food and stopped by this gem. I ordered the Korean army stew, jjajangmyeon (black bean noodle) and tteokbokki. My 7yo old son who lives for all things spicy loves the K Army Stew and ate several servings . My 1yo daughter absolutely adored the chewy noodles inside the jjajangmyeon. The tteokbokki rice cakes had the perfect texture and the heat from the gochujang was spot on. I highly recommend this place and I will be stopping by more frequently read more

Nice new place on the east side. The staff here is very friendly and offers great service. I love their soy garlic wings and sweet potato fries. They also have super cute macron ice cream sandwiches.
