It's a small place so you might be waiting for a table if it's a busy time of day or holiday. The Buffalo Cauliflower starter was a delicious and has to be the healthiest version of Buffalo cauliflower. Nashville Hot sandwiches- well - the fries are amazing - perfect crisp but the hot is missing in the Nashville Hot and will go better with blue cheese dressing than mayonnaise. Several photos are from a previous visit I forgot to review - the menu has changes since some of the items we enjoyed. Great spot to enjoy a meal in the country side of Alpharetta / Cumming area.

Was told it would be a 20 minute wait (we were there around 6:30pm) which was fine given that if we left and tried to go anywhere else, it would have taken that much time anyway. Several others came in after us and were told similar or longer times. Hostess mentioned to us that it was crowded inside because it was so hot on the patio. After all the others kept arriving, I happened to ask if the patio was closed and she said no, to which I said we were actually fine sitting out there. Then, all the other parties waiting said the same thing, so we all got seated immediately. Hubby had the special which was meatloaf. I had the burrata salad with added grilled chicken. Mine was the perfect size for a light but filling dinner. My husband said his was good too and even recommended it to a lady who asked about it from a nearby table. He even got a free cupcake for his birthday. Service has always been very friendly. Ambiance inside can get rather noisy, but the patio was better even with cars and a plethora of Amazon trucks going through the roundabout. Temp actually wasn't too bad. Fans, shade, and a little breeze helped. Glad I asked about patio!

On a beautiful early summer day with warm sunshine and gentle breezes, it was a pleasure to sit at…read moreone of the outside patio tables, overlooking the colorful flower garden and the lazy river -with food and service that lived up to this restaurant's positive reputation and its 5 star reviews. Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Facility: The facility lends itself to the riverside experience from the canoe in the entryway ceiling to the flowers and bird feeders just beyond the patio tables. The white tablecloth ambiance informs you that this isn't a fast-food experience. There are tents set aside in a more private are of the garden as a lovely venue for special events Location : This isn't a quick roadside stop next to a 6-lane highway. Even though the restaurant is convenient to dine in an Atlanta suburb, the roads to the restaurant wind and meander for a short distance through one of the prettiest neighborhoods, with a canopy of large old trees, with lovely fences, hedges, and gates lining the road. There is courteous valet parking at the front door. The restaurant is not inexpensive but it is well worth the prices paid, in our opinion.

I'd understand if they stated it online or somewhere but they decide each evening whether or not they will take any takeout orders and then only way to find out is by calling. This is incredibly frustrating because you can't plan or count on being able to get food from there and with a menu as expensive as theirs that's just unacceptable, in my opinion. My impression is that they are stuck in the 1980s around when they opened and don't want to update the experience. Hence their post strict dress code and arbitrary takeout policy.

The only amenities missing was a golf course and a runway! Then you pretty much would have my version of heaven on earth. The food was an 7 out of 10 for my taste. I think there can be some improvement in the restaurant aspect of business to reflect what I have experienced in the past from the Atlanta, Augusta, Stone Mountain trips I've made. And some revenue opportunities. One other suggestion would be to have some beverages, coffee and sodas brought into the conference rooms themselves as walking to them is nice for a stretch, but you can miss some of the presentation. Yet another suggestion which would be nice is an airport shuttle to and from the facility -- until you get your own runway! Thank you for the pretty flawless and enjoyable stay. WP

The complementary conditioner, shampoo, and body wash were not secured and looked filthy on the inside. We were supplied with minimal towels, we used one of the two small towels we were given to clean the tub so we had to wash with one of the hand drying towels. We didn't have a coffee pot as it was missing. The sink drains slower than molasses which was quite unpleasant. Also, the doors are as thin as paper, we were woken by loud slamming. The positives were that the front desk staff was very nice and professional, the parking was very accessible, and there were bars all throughout (coffee and alcohol). There was also a very nice view of the courtyard in our room. Overall, the price point matches and it's good if you're coming to a conference or competition with family, however as far as a comfortable clean staycation? Would not recommend.

Here's the setup: I made a 7:15 reservation, got confirmation texts, even replied when they texted asking where we were. We walked into a packed house at 7:30 -- and the front desk had no record of us. Turns out my reservation was at their OTHER location 20 miles away, and nothing in the texts identified which one. We had tickets to a show at 8:00 the next night's... no time to drive anywhere. Birthday dinner circling the drain. Enter Matthew, the general manager. He didn't make excuses or hide behind policy. He called my name across a crowded lobby, gave it to me straight -- "the answer's not good" -- and then found the answer anyway: two seats at the end of the bar, full menu. Done. And then he didn't disappear. All night we watched this man work the room, help the kitchen, and at one point he was in the back personally mashing the potatoes. We even discovered our birthdays are one day apart. As he put it: things like that happen for a reason. Now the food, because it earned its own paragraph. Bison bone-in ribeye -- fantastic, cooked perfectly. Garlic mashed potatoes (Matthew-mashed, possibly) and roasted asparagus were excellent. My wife's bison meatloaf with wedge salad and roasted carrots was top notch. "Salt-and-pepper onion rings to start -- which Matthew sent out on the house -- get them. And the blueberry cheesecake, also on the house for the birthday, did not disappoint." Our waitress Nara was attentive and sharp, and sitting at the end of the bar face-to-face with the kitchen crew turned dinner into dinner theater -- those folks are genuinely funny. And the encore: thirty minutes into our show across town, my wife realized she'd left her earphones at the restaurant. Before she could even get back -- Matthew had already sent a young man to FIND US at the venue and return them. He spotted me by my loud and proud Mount Rushmore shirt. A reservation mix-up that wasn't even this location's fault, and they treated us like family anyway. That's not policy, that's character. Matthew, Nara, and the whole crew turned a birthday disaster into a birthday story we'll tell for years. Five stars isn't enough.
