I took my family to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We really liked the decor and aesthetics of the restaurant. I had heard many good things about the menu and could not wait to try out several dishes. We tried a couple of appetizers. The pimento cheese fritters were incredible and I loved the sauce it came with. We also tried the Parker house rolls, which were perfect for dipping in our shrimp scampi. We also tried the burrata caprese which was absolutely phenomenal. My daughter, the birthday girl had the summer into fall pasta which was very light and fresh. We also ordered a couple of drinks from the bar. I had a champagne supernova and my daughter had a lavender lemonade. For dessert, we had whiskey chocolate pecan pie and buttermilk pie. Arrived on a busy Monday night. Hostess said it's always busy on Mondays because so many other restaurants are closed. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait (we were there around 6:30pm) which was fine given that if we left and tried to go anywhere else, it would have taken that much time anyway. Several others came in after us and were told similar or longer times. Hostess mentioned to us that it was crowded inside because it was so hot on the patio. After all the others kept arriving, I happened to ask if the patio was closed and she said no, to which I said we were actually fine sitting out there. Then, all the other parties waiting said the same thing, so we all got seated immediately. Hubby had the special which was meatloaf. I had the burrata salad with added grilled chicken. Mine was the perfect size for a light but filling dinner. My husband said his was good too and even recommended it to a lady who asked about it from a nearby table. He even got a free cupcake for his birthday. Service has always been very friendly. Ambiance inside can get rather noisy, but the patio was better even with cars and a plethora of Amazon trucks going through the roundabout. Temp actually wasn't too bad. We have been here a handful of times now. We often have lunch at the bar area or sit at a booth when we bring our son for dinner. There is a good selection and they have great cocktails. The children's menu chicken fingers are superb! As a few other reviewers said, you may need a little extra time as most things are made in house and service can get backed up. A classy interior upgrade to this historic country store, fine service, and an equally sophisticated menu. I visited on a chilly, but sunny Thursday in mid March just after 5PM and the parking lot and restaurant quickly filled up by the time I left. I was immediately greeted, seated, and my drink and food order taken. They don't have fountain drinks so my Diet Coke was served in a can. I ordered the sampler entree, which came with the pork chop, lamb chop, a filet medallion, and a salmon filet. All were quality and nicely cooked to order. The lemon caper butter and chimichurri added a tang that grew tiresome by the end of the meal, but wasn't unbearable. My side of fries were perfectly cooked. And I finished with a slice of buttermilk pie that was topped with tangy berry compote. The dining area includes booth, half booths, bar, screened and covered porch (closed against the chill and being enjoyed by patrons basking in the hints of spring sunshine), and also an outdoor area with picnic tables (with and without umbrellas) next to their herb garden, along with Adirondack chairs next to astroturf (where I imagine cornhole is played in the nicer months). read more

What once was a good place to eat, has become mediocre. We've lived in the area for 7+ years and have eaten at 7 Acres many times on our own, or with friends and family. Last night may very well be the last time. My wife ordered the trout with fingerling potatoes and an arugula salad, and I had the special - Blackened snapper with what was described as creamy risotto and charred broccolini. The snapper made it to the plate, but the risotto was a big gloppy mess that looked more like a pile of instant mashed potatoes. Gordon Ramsey would not have thrown it across the room only because it would have probably stuck to his hand on the release. What should have been broccolini were thin, overcooked wisps of asparagus. I pointed the risotto out to the waiter, and he ran off to tell the chef. Meanwhile I ate what was left and decided not to complain any further... But wait, there's more! When the server returns, he explains that the risotto is premade and any subsequent portions would be the same. P R E M A D E! Any restaurant premaking risotto needs to be shut down, or never allowed to say the word risotto ever again. He offered a substitute so I ordered the fingerling potatoes. Off the server goes to get them. Meanwhile, my wife politely turns to me and says, "I didn't want to say anything, but this trout is flavorless". Then less than two minutes later she bites into some fingerling potatoes and chips a filling on a stone. I wish that this was the end of the saga. Our server returns with the fingerling potatoes and says "I comped these for you". Excuse me? That's when I decide to clue him in... Mind you I only told him of the other issues with my dish because my wife didn't want to say anything about hers - she just wanted to get out of there. When the check arrives, I'm expecting the manager to come over and apologize. I'm also assuming that beside the comped, unseasoned fingerling potatoes, my entree would be discounted or comped entirely. Nope. Just my server with a smile and a "to go" box of broccolini - I'm assuming this was some sort of apology. They ended up in the trash at home. I will say that my server was a pleasant young man, and I'm assuming that this is his first job waiting tables. I started by saying that this could be the last time we eat at 7 Acres. I'm waiting to see if the manager/owner sees this review and reaches out. I can't believe they would condone this quality of food or attitude towards customers. read more

Ambiance : Charming rustic country looking restaurant with a nice seasonal menu. We enjoyed our lunch and desserts. The booths are very comfortable, full bar seating available and a small patio. The dessert case is too tempting to pass up. Slow Service: Make sure you have free time as it may take a long time to get through a meal here. Table Service is lacking just a tad. One of the Best filet mignons we've ever had! (It cut right through with the butter knife). The Parker house rolls are fantastic, with the coarse salt- bacon fat butter was phenomenal. Our server, Kyle, was also fantastic! He made great recommendations and was incredibly friendly and personable, elevating our experience even more! We had a lovely time sitting outside, and the bathrooms were clean. For dessert, we tried the buttermilk pie and lemon custard pie with strawberry compote. We have been going to 7 acre BarnGrill for the past six years and have been there at least 10 times. I have always loved the food and service until this past weekend. The service was good but the food quality for the price you pay here on this visit was beyond HORRIBLE! We ordered an appetizer that came out in less than 2 min which tells me it was precooked and sitting under lights for who knows how long. Then we ordered the "blue plate" special. I ordered the snapper, both meals again came out very quick, quicker than what you would expect. The steak and snapper were both undercooked and the snapper was pink inside, needless to say I sent it back, brought a new piece and then that piece was tough and dry, I did not eat it either. So we paid a $157 for a very disappointing experience and dinner! For those prices do BETTER!!! read more

Went to 7 Acre for a work lunch. We arrived a little before they opened on a cold morning and they came out and offered for us to wait on the patio that was much warmer. Right at 11:30 they brought us in and sat us. The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the blue plate special and it was amazing. Fresh ingredients and great flavors made this take like a gourmet Italian dish. My co workers had trout, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and they both enjoyed them. On a beautiful Fall day, I was meeting a colleague for lunch and agreed to come her way. She chose 7 Acre Bar and Grill. I'm thrilled she did! It's a 30 minute drive from East Cobb, which I didn't mind. The leaves were beautiful against a backdrop of a multitude of horse farms.Event, I arrived at 7 Acre. I loved the shaved brussel sprouts salad. It came with a hard boiled egg, baby kale, sliced apples, quinoa, avocado and more. I added even more protein with a grilled chicken breast. Ya'll know I love a good brew of iced tea and 7 Acre did not disappoint. Cue multiple refills, which our waitress happily accommodated. The ambiance is farm house meets family friendly. Had a great lunch with the boys, everything we had was amazing. I even ordered an order of shrimp and grits, which was their blue plate special to take home to my wife. We started with the beef Carpico appetizer, it was incredible. The fried capers were something that I have never had, but really made a difference in the dish. If you like carpaccio, I highly suggest. I had the double smash burger and their wonderful french fries. Not much you can say about a Smashburger, but it was absolutely wonderful. One of my buddies had the blue plate, shrimp and grits and he absolutely loved it. My other buddy had The salmon salad. He said it was a really good piece of salmon, and he knows salmon. We had a Chilean sea bass that was very tasty (sorry no pictures of it), steak frites, and a new chicken dish they had on the menu (also no pictures :/). The food was not bad but the meat was a little tough on the chicken and the steak. The cocktails were tasty especially the one blueberry gin cocktail. What I really like about this place is the staff. The service is IMPECCABLE. They are so caring and incredibly nice people. Wonderful staff!!! My guest did not like his chicken dish, and it was my other guests birthday and they took the chicken off of my tab because it was not enjoyed, and treated the birthday girl to a free dessert. We moved to the area a little over a year ago. We keep returning to 7 Acres hoping it will improve. Last night we decided never to return. Last time we were there, the smash burger was so salty it was inedible. I wanted to return it, but hubs would not let me. Last night something was wrong with every dish we ordered. First the carpaccio. It was so thick I had to cut it with a knife. Carpaccio should be paper thin and scoop easily onto the toast with a fork. Second was the chowder. Flavor was good but the ham or bacon was cut so large I had to chew, chew, chew to get it down. Ruined the texture of the dish. Lastly was the fish and chips. Or should I say fish and mashed potatoes. The person that plated it did not notice and the food runner did not notice. Our server never came by to check on us. So we had to wait until we could flag her down to ask her for malt vinegar and for french fries. She apologized and returned with vinegar and fries. The fish and the fries were so greasy we squeezed a fry and it dripped grease. Same with the fish. There was a small puddle of grease on the plate and I think the fish was under cooked. We did not finish any of the dishes. Sad because this has all the makings of a great neighborhood spot. read more

The Nordic chowder was creamy and full of flavor although we would recommend chopping the oysters as they were quite large and difficult to chew. Sat in 5 min on a 20 min promised wait. The Challenges: Don't buy a mocktail ($makers). Once the apps were done and the main dishes came out, the food fell flat. I ordered the $48 Lamb and If I could go back in time, order nothing, and keep the money, I would. Charging $48 for that dish, is a crime. The scampi was bland and pedestrian. The salmon was forgettable. And these were the bulk of the bill. The main meal was a buzz kill for sure. I could have bought tools. I'd go back, but here is what i would do. -ditch the kids -order no expensive main dishes -keep it to apps, salad, burgers -squint when the bill comes out so Im not embarrassed at what I spent on food in Milton. The vibe and service are why to come. Don't come thinking you're getting an award winning meal, but you'll be paying for one. read more

I had the turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich with fries which was delicious. I'm a water drinker and appreciated the bottle of fresh water placed on our table for refills. It was my second visit and same server as last time in the bar area. He is so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and about the flower farm down the road. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly once it opened. I love the natural daylight streaming through the many windows and the rustic look of the wooden floors. It was all sparkling clean. read more

The Ambiance and atmosphere and servers were good. food was a bit of a let down. our group was celebrating two birthdays. my 91 year old dad and my daughter so we were 4 generations - 8 people. started was the rolls which had been hyped on other reviews. keep your money. they tasted stale and had a burnt flavor as if something they were cooked with had been burnt. the butter was so hard it may have come straight from the freezer. the rolls were not warm enough to melt the butter. most of us had different meals. the chicken Milanese was good but so crispy hard I struggled to cut bites off it with a butter knife. The chicken piccata was the same way. unexpected for piccata. noodles were gritty from capers. shrimp scampi was good. NC trout and sides were good. turkey avocado sandwich was "Meh" smash burgers were good but my dad said it was too "Hot". we all missed that it came with hot mustard. the fries were ok but not temperature hot - just room temperature and lacking something. overall it was a good meal. nothing special. was a little disappointed that they did not offer so much as a small dish of ice cream to my dad. 91 is. pretty special birthday. Will strongly consider other options next time we are taking the family to dinner. not ruled out or ruled in. So ambiance and staff are a 5 but food was a 3. Overall 4 stars. read more

Disappointing dinner tonight. I ordered the fish and chips. To begin with the two pieces of fish were so small, even smaller than fast food chicken tenders. When they were brought to the table the fish was glistening with grease and was just as greasy on the inside, I could probably wring out tablespoons of grease in these two measly pieces of fish. The fries were OK but also a bit greasy - and this meal was $20 why? I felt ill after leaving. My wife had the chicken rigatoni and she liked it even though the chicken was overcooked and some of it inedible because of being so overcooked. Very disappointed in this meal from 7 Acre. read more

So I was here last year but forgot to check in or write a review but not this time. Both times the experience was very enjoyable and satisfying. I love how the restaurant has 2 sections. One with a well stocked bar with over 14 taps with local and other beers. A nice list of wines and some amazing cocktails. Many TVs and booths which is nice for a more open and social atmosphere. And the other side a more quiet and private area. Our server was so cool. Very interactive and entertaining. She also new all the finer points of the drinks main entrees and deserts. All the meals ordered came out correct and were absolutely delicious. The (not on the menu) Porky Fries were fantastic! Real French Fries covered in slow cook and so tender BBQ pulled pork, melted cheese,green onions, sour cream and fried onion strings! Just wow! Whiskey Chocolate Pecan is the dessert you need to order. The name speaks for itself. Sorry no photo. It was devoured in minutes. Lol. I like how they have plenty of parking. Hence the name. Also they home grow all the vegetables right there on site. In fact when you walk in they have a huge display of seeds you can buy. So cool.
