Recently, I had an issue with pests. It was about 40 days into my quarterly visit which was 'May 31st. I called the office and informed them but the scheduler couldn't get me in until August 2nd. (Mind you I called the 2nd week of July.) I was informed to call back the next week to see if there was a cancellation, which I did the following week, but they only had something one day sooner. During this initial conversation, I explained to the scheduler that since I wasn't due for my quarterly service and that since I had seen pests, would I get a free re-treat service which is their policy written on the invoice. She needed to look into it. I didn't hear anything else from them until they called to confirm my appt a couple of days before it. When I called back to confirm, I again mentioned the free re-treat and had to explain "their policy" written on the invoice. The scheduler said she would talk to management and call me back. She calls back a few minutes later and stated management said I would still have to pay, even though this was NOT my quarterly appt. and they would not follow their own policy. I explained to the scheduler that I called weeks ago for an appt. because of a problem and she stated she explained that to them. I told her I've never had any issues with this company and was confused to why they wouldn't follow their own policy! She didn't know, told me she gave them all of this information, but was frustrated and said she would talk to management again, call me back, and also cancelled my appt. for the 2nd. This was on August 1st. Needless to say, it's almost a week later and no one has contacted me and I guess this is how they value their customers. Shame on them! Don't have a written policy if you're not going to follow it! Management could have at least called and explained why. I have recommended them to other co-workers but never again. Please beware!! Update: Today Marilyn, who is the scheduler, called me after hearing about the Yelp review. She was very apologetic about how she handled my situation and took ownership for her actions. She made things right with me and made sure I was ok and happy with the new outcome. I am actually very happy with the outcome and will continue to use Available Pest Control.
