It was 1/3 the cost of the estimate I was given at a nearby shop that couldn't even handle the job for a month out. Charles took care of it while I waited. Lots of customers came and went while I waited and I witnessed him treat every customer with courtesy and respect. For my front brake, Charles had to re-thread 2 parts so they would fit together again! He had a really handy re-thread file tool which I've never seen or heard of. He told a few stories while I waited and he worked. He gave me a tip on where to go to see salmon running and seals feeding (and possibly orcas waiting at the mouth of the inlet to feed on the seals #PBSlive). AND I learned a lot about the bike I've owned since 2008 that I never knew before. Besides being personable, efficient, respectful, and informative, Charles is a Master. I highly recommend this guy for your bike stuff.

After that, no instructors were available to teach on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Uncertified members are not allowed to use 3D printers unsupervised. Certifications are only done on Sundays (one of my work days). Jeremy Hanson replied that for a $50 fee, an instructor could come in on one of my days off from work. On the last day of my work week, I had to isolate due to Covid Omicron. When my doctor cleared me to return to work, I followed up with Jeremy but got no response to either of 2 e-mails I sent. I also contacted contact@seattlemakers.org and got no response. I can't say I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Just wanted to update my previous review for Luminous Works. As promised, the class has been…read morerestructured since the class I took in May and I was pleasantly surprised. I really felt like they took my feedback to heart and made some good changes. 25 minutes into the class and we were already practicing using the software. We spent approximately 50 minutes in Illustrator (yep, I tracked the time), 60 minutes in InDesign, and about 30 minutes in Photoshop. The rest of the time we were learning about how the programs overlap and interact, etc. The class teacher, Steve, clearly knows everything about anything regarding Adobe, and was more than willing to answer questions throughout the lecture. He is very easygoing. This was a good class because we didn't spend too much time learning 'theory' and we did a lot of hands on work. I WOULD recommend this class to anyone who is looking to learn the basics of Adobe Design Standard, or get a little more familiar with the programs. You learn a good amount of shortcuts and such as well, to help you work more efficiently. This is very helpful for me as I begin to do more design work at my job.
