But just like most schools, there are very smart and helpful professors and there are less smart and helpful professors. Professor Hatfield was my favorite because he clearly communicates what's expected and I felt I learned the most from him of any professor. The draw of the school for me was the skills courses, but sadly the estate planning drafting class is taught by someone who seems incapable of teaching anything to anyone and the class was actually pretty worthless except for the sample documents you can compile. Another unfortunate aspect of the program is the lack of information regarding resources available at the University for students in the LLM program. They don't seem to recognize that not everyone dies their undergrad and/or law school here. The orientation was very short and included information from campus security but nothing about where the gym is on campus or any other information on student resources. Another bummer, they pitch the program as a good fit for people who work during the day, but many of the classes are before 5pm. I was hoping they'd move the early classes to later times, alternating from year to year. No such luck. Bottom line: it's a decent program but don't get fooled by the great sounding courses or the good fit for people who work during the day.
