I love this place, the flavor of the crawfish can't be touched by any other place around. I start going to the crawfish palace at the beginning of the season, pay a lil extra and the crawfish are still small but that seasoning has me addicted. As the crawfish gets more mature and the prices start going down I'm back at least a few times a month. The parking lot needs work, not really made for low profile cars, but if you gotta truck, you will be fine. Just remember you're going for the delicious food not the parking lot. The best food typically comes from a place that may not look the nicest. Love this place! Never had bad service, the seasoning is the best out of everywhere I have tried! Pulled on the parking lot and had to dodge huge potholes to park next to what looked like a scrap metal yard in back as well as dodge potholes walking to the door. When we walked in and got seated, we noticed how dirty the place was. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon and they weren't busy at all. There were maybe 4 other tables occupied. Lots of flies buzzing around inside. We ordered crawfish and waited about a half hour to be served while watching a lot of flirting amongst the employees and employees walking around eating while working, which I consider very unprofessional. I've had worse crawfish, but not much worse, I'd give them a 5 out of 10. Crawfish were about the toughest (as leather) I've had but they were spicy enough is about the only good thing I can say. After eating, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. Had to go outside to get there. No paper towels, no toilet paper, no hot water. For a $100 bill, I Probably won't be going back. I visited the city and was excited to try Crawfish Hole #2 after hearing great things, but unfortunately, they were closed on Mondays. I turned to Yelp for another option and came across Crawfish Palace. Since I was dining alone, I chose to sit at the bar and ordered the 3-pound special, which included crawfish, corn, and a potato for $28.99. To be honest, I didn't find that to be much of a deal, but I went with it. I also noticed that the price is cheaper for takeout, though I'm not sure why there's a price difference between dining in and taking it to go. Regardless, I wanted to get out of my hotel, take a break from work, and enjoy a good meal, so I opted to eat there. I also ordered a beer to go with my crawfish since, to me, it's the perfect combo. My total came to $36, and after tipping, I spent about $40--yet I still left feeling hungry. My biggest concern was that I really don't believe I was served a full three pounds of crawfish. The crawfish were quite small, which I understand since it's still early in the season, but the portion didn't seem to match what I ordered. The seasoning was decent, and the crawfish tasted fresh, but they didn't have any butter available--they had apparently been out for two days. That was disappointing, as I enjoy dipping my crawfish in butter while eating. Service-wise, my waitress was friendly, but the rest of the staff didn't seem too welcoming--no one looked particularly happy to be there. Unfortunately, I left still feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The parking lot is unpaved and full of pot holes, bumps, and puddles. The main door has a large sign stating a 4% surcharge for credit card use. Fine, you need to charge for the credit card transaction fee, I don't know of a single credit card processor that charges more than a .40 cent transaction and up to 2.6% fee. How dare they want to make 1%+ off my use of a credit card to pay for my meal. Great advertising to the criminal public that you mostly have cash on hand. The handle for the door to enter this establishment was at a 90 degree angle to the handle on the inside to try and leave. There was no spring to close the door behind you. Great little hole in the wall place! The wait staff have always been so friendly. Family owned. Right now as of 04/19/2025, Crawfish is $7.99 a pound or $25 for 3 lbs crawfish with 2 potatoes and corn. They have always been a good size and good flavor. Should have read the reviews before I visited this place. I'll start from the beginning; this story is absolutely the truth!! I come back to town every year to visit family and our first meal is crawfish, which I crave for an entire year before my annual visit. Believe me, it's a big deal. We usually go to the same place but I decide to try something different this year... huge mistake. Parking lot is filled with pot holes, dirt and very difficult to park. Just plain filthy; not a good start. The server was friendly and was working very hard at our table of 8. She has a nice personality. However, the food was delivered sporadically over a 20 minute period. Not her fault. Once it arrived the crab was overcooked and nasty, the shrimp was "ok" and eatable. Here's the kicker.... The reason i was there for the crawfish. To my dismay, the crawfish tasted awful. They were smelly, over salted with some time of "shaker type" seasoning which overtook the taste of the actual boil. I could barely even taste the boil due to the over salty flavor of whatever cheap shaker substance was used to mask the true boiled flavor. I suppose if you like cheap over salty shaker flavor, you would enjoy this. I, however, think it is disgusting. I ate 4 crawfish out of the 3 pounds I ordered. Dumped the rest on my brother-in-laws plate for disposal. To say I was disappointed would be a significant understatement. I went to the restroom for a potty break. When I opened the door, it was absolutely disgusting. The women's was closed, while the men's restroom was unfortunately left open. There was about an inch of muddy water in the floor, toilet paper and paper towels strewn all over the small bathroom, no soap and an awful odor. Great ending to an uneventful dining experience, huh? This part is my bad.... Upon my initial arrival, I walked right past a sign claiming the place charges 4% extra if you use a credit card without seeing it. I am sympathetic to small business owners being blasted by credit card companies, but this is excessive. I didn't realize this extra fee until the credit card transaction didn't match my bill. Although my bad, the response to my inquiry from the owner and her son was short, terse and matter of fact. Kinda of like, "Too bad, my friend, now beat it! We post it at the front door!" Again, this story is absolutely true! After this unfortunate incident, I was still craving crawfish. I paid my bill (with tip, almost $400) and left....then drove directly to the other crawfish place I have enjoyed on so many previous occasions. I picked up 3 pounds of crawfish and a pound of shrimp. The cost was about 1/3 of the price at Crawfish Palace. Took them home and enjoyed my "personal meal" in the presence of..... no one. With a nice, clean bathroom as a finish. Being one myself, I'm a huge proponent/supporter of private business owners. It's not fun having to put someone on blast, but they earned this review. It is, without a doubt, the responsibility of the owner (and their staff) to provide a safe, clean, reasonable priced product in order to gain respect and a loyal following. In this instance, they landed horribly short or their intended goals and failed miserably. Very sad. I recommend a different establishment if you have a craving for good, southern Louisiana style crawfish, combined with a good experience. read more

So my other families members like crawfish however I do not so I have always ordered the boiled shrimp. On 2 occasions a Sunday evening and Wednesday evening we sat down and got told they had no shrimp. Of course they do not really have anything else but crawfish and shrimp. They do not have everything that they advertise on the website. My king crabs were very cooked, and the crawfish was tiny. When we walked in, there was a sign on the door that stated the crawfish were 5.99lb. When we received the ticket, We were charged 11.23 a pound. When questioned, the Supervisor or Manager got loud, stating that 5.99 lb was how they sold their plates. The customer service was so unprofessional. An old college friend recommended that we meet up at Crawfish Palace for lunch and reminisce on old times. Upon arrival, the parking lot appeared to be a chaotic mess, as it appears to be paved with dirt and I arrived shortly after a rain. Furthermore, the exterior did not look inviting, with the sight of exterior restrooms welcoming patrons. Looks can be deceiving, however, as the interior was much different from outside. The inside is clean and inviting, and the servers were all very friendly. After we were seated, a server gave us a simple menu of Crawfish Palace's offerings--some fried seafood plates, boiled shrimp, and their specialty, boiled crawfish. There is a small beer selection and a few daiquiris available. I ordered some crawfish and they came out quick, hot, and fresh. It was a good day for crawfish (the quality can vary due to many factors, such as weather and time of year) so they turned out to be large, meaty, and easy to peel. It also came with corn and potatoes. There is a good spice that was not overwhelming at all. Overall, aside from its looks from the outside, the food at Crawfish Palace is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the interior atmosphere is inviting. Overall - about 4.5 stars. This place was recommended by a local for crawfish, and I can see why. It's a divey place, with the washrooms being an outhouse, but that's part of it's hole-in-the-wall charm. They also have a homey, airy, and open dining room, with numerous fans and Cajun decor. And the crawfish - wow, it can turn a non-believer like myself into one. The juicy meat freshness, the delicate brittle shells of the crawfish, and the mild but noticeable spice level were distinctive. I compared it to crawfish I've had at say Joe's Crab Shack (just one example) in Midwest, and there's no comparison. I'm told, and believe, this place stands out amongst scores of restaurants in the area offering crawfish. It's been run for past 14 years by Thai folks. I knocked rating back a 1/2 star, just based on value - it's still not that cheap in the end at $5 per lb. The three of us had a 3 lb. crawfish platter and a lb. of boiled shrimp, with two sodas, and total was $33.40 pre-tip. All-in-all though, a very memorable Cajun experience.
