Oysters
Melanie N.

Food: 4/5 I can mainly speak for the oysters because I come here during happy hour when oysters are $1.25 each. The oysters are bomb and very fresh and are usually a good size as well. I've eaten their shrimp boil and garlic noodles once before and they are okay, but I like the flavor of Kickin Crab better. The garlic noodles here are saucy and a spaghetti noodle vs the garlic noodles from Kickin Crab is egg noodles and drier, which tastes better. Service: 5/5 The times I go, it's always dead for the most part so service is pretty swift and I never had to wait for a table. Ambiance: 4/5 The interior design is similar to that of any other seafood boil place. It's clean and parking is also easy.

Oysters!!!!

Drove past this restaurant on the way to another restaurant lol, my boyfriend is a crawfish fanatic and decided he wanted to change plans. We parked at one of the public parking spots and enjoyed a nice walk to the restaurant. I will say the entrance of the restaurant isn't as readily available as it could be haha but that just might be a personal issue. The service was pretty good. We got there an hour and some change before closing. They were still very attentive and welcoming. Not sure if it was the time and day that we arrived but they seemed short staffed. Ambience was regular, very similar to other seafood boil spots. Definitely a lot of space, and you're still able to enjoy a personal meal I got the half dozen of oysters, at a price you can't beat! They were 13.95. I'm usually not one to eat horseradish but there's was actually a great add on to my oysters! Mainly giving this spot a 4 because of the flavoring. When i opened my bag of shrimp the flavoring was all in chunks on top of my shrimp :( personally didnt like to see that honestly lol. And i would say that the flavor is a bit on the sweeter side. I got the ALL IN medium. Spice level was great though. Nice hit but not too spicy, still able to enjoy my food. My bf enjoyed his meal and actually liked my sauce better than just the normal Cajun. So there's that l The crawfish was meaty so that was really nice to see. Mainly just the flavoring for me is why I'm subtracting a score; in comparison to other seafood boil spots. The bathroom also wasn't the cleanest.

Came here on a Saturday night with a large party of like 16. It was not really busy so staff were very attentive to us. The food quality here was very average in taste in comparison to other seafood boil places.

Ordered 2lbs of shrimp crave style. Shrimp was semi warm and flavorless. Ordered the king crab and the same result, cold and flavorless This place used to be good, but not anymore. Service was good $100 bucks down the drain

Shrimp Po boy sandwich

Great tasting food. Arguably one of the best tasting Po Boy sandwich I ever tasted. The set was pretty quick for a table for for, no longer than 15 minutes on a Friday night. The location is centrally located and easy to find. The ambiance of the place is very chill and relaxing. Definitely coming back.

Easy going weekday visit

First time visit, kept it simple since I was being bashful. The garlic noodles with sausage were pretty good. We had another with shrimp, but I am not too into shrimp so no opinion there. I overloaded on the carbs and got the fried rice with chicken as well. Not bad, but nothing special. The restaurant is pretty big and likely a hot spot for later in the day meal visits. Our waiter (forgot his name) was pretty friendly, spoke highly of their garlic noodles which was the easy sales pitch on me. I left full and felt alright about it.

Me enjoying the Northeast Shrimps, calamari, the naked oysters and the garlic pasta which is one not to be missed.

I and my wife came at lunch time as we were craving for some oysters and some seafood. This turned out to be a great place - basically a sports spot a la Joe Crab House of yesteryears but with plenty to show off for. The garlic pasta is their specialty so we did not miss ordering it , so are their baked oysters , fried calamari and Northeast Cajun shrimps . The servings were plentiful so we ended up with two boxes to take home. Zack who was alone to attend to us was pleasantly accommodating and was so knowledgeable of all the dishes and which ones to recommend. We plan to come back during their happy hours and probably enjoy a more upbeat ambience. Will definitely recommend to any Cajun seafood enthusiasts or to any seafood lover.

This is one of my go-to spot when I want good cajun seafood boil without having to drive far. The shrimp was meaty and plump, just the right level of spice. I wish there was more sauce because I love to dip my seafood and fries in the sauce. Fries always crispy. Service was on point, very friendly and attentive. Parking might be tough on the weekend since its near a big bar. I also believe Thurs-Sat night, you have to pay for parking in downtown Fullerton. However, I will definitely be back, probably on a weekday :)

I went with my family to Crawfish Cave on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. There were only a few more parties at the restaurant but when we talked to the owner later, he said it has been a bit slower since the pandemic. Our server came to take our drink order and brought them back fast. We got the medium heat and cave style cave bucket for $50 which is three pounds of shrimp with sausage, corn and potatoes (your choice between crawfish, clams, mussels or shrimp- pretty good price). We also got fries, fresh oysters and another pound of clams for the table. The oysters were delish, they were the perfect cold temperature and were served with tabasco, tapatio, salt and lemon. Fries were decent. All of the cajun style food was delicious, it had been a while since I went to one and I left with a happy tummy. Give this place some support! It needs more hype.

This was my expression after eating the amazing entree! 5 Big Booms!

When I dined here the service was great and my server was excellent and was very cute. The food was also very good and had me wanting more. The vibe of the place was very chill and relaxing. But it'll never beat the chicken bake and double chunk chocolate cookie from Costco, but anyway I give this restaurant 5 Big Booms. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

1 lb. Snow Crab
Sarah L.

Ahhh I've been craving crab for months, and finally found it for a price I was willing to pay. Snow crab was $31/lb today and so worth it. We also had the garlic noodles which were deliciously flavorful and the shrimp and chips, because we were curious. I would come back for the snow crab and garlic noodles. The lemons were the perfect complement. Carmen was our server and was friendly and attentive. The other waitstaff checked in frequently and helped to keep our waters full. I don't have much experience with cracking my own crab, but I learned to use the scissors to cut the crab open lengthwise instead of just cutting horizontally and struggling to dig it out. For any other learners out there :)

Wow... this is by far the best cajun seafood place I've been to. The main reason is because most cajun seafood places' (at least the ones I've been to) shrimp are always mushy and just don't taste fresh at all. But this place's shrimp tasted fresh, chewy, and juicy. Get it with their cajun garlic fries and it'll definitely hit the spot. The sauce I got was cajun, and they give you a good amount of sauce in the bag. Some places I've been to barely give you any sauce. Definitely will be back and 10/10 recommend this place to any cajun seafood fans.

What time does it close? And what is the recommended time to be there by? I ask because I got there 20 min before they close on Sunday and they said they were doing last call, but it doesn't say anywhere I need to be there by a certain time?

That sounds about right. Usually when a place close at a certain time they do last call 30-15 min prior. It's like most bar, if they close at 2am they do last call for drinks at 1am/1:30am and then kick everyone out exactly at 2am.

Our go-to is the Combo 1 ($34.95) -- you pick any 2 pounds of seafood from crawfish, mussels, clams, octopus, or shrimp, and it comes loaded with 2 corns, 2 potatoes, and 4 sausage slices. It's an incredible deal. When we're really hungry, we tack on an extra pound of seafood and still walk away feeling like we didn't overpay. Compared to similar spots, the prices here are genuinely hard to beat. The service is great, the restaurant is clean, and the vibe is super fun -- they've got TVs all around so you can catch a game while you dig in. It's the kind of place where you roll up your sleeves, put on your bib, and just enjoy yourself. Highly recommend!

I was excited because the rating was high, but it should have went through the reviews a little better. They are located in a shopping center plaza with plenty of parking and only indoor seating. There was no line and a father/son were eating and I asked them, but they thought of the food and they said it was great. I proceed to order one of their combo meals with the Cajun Daddy house sauce mild. I also ordered a side of hot sauce. We also ordered a pound of crawfish and a pound of clams and an order of fries. The service was basic. They put out a paper on our table and brought out our food. They are very skimpy on the lemon, salt and pepper. You have to keep asking for more and they give you very little each time. Let me start off with the fries - they were soft, not crispy and lacked flavor. The seafood is not fresh. I repeat it is not fresh, it is frozen seafood. However, they prepare it, it is obvious that nothing is seasoned or marinated. Their house sauce, which is the daddy sauce didn't do any justice for the seafood. Highly disappointed, especially that we spent a pretty penny. I stopped eating the crawfish and the clams altogether. I continued eating the combo which came with a lobster, crab, legs, and shrimp with the head on. I just could not find any of the seafood tasty. The lobster was terrible, extremely overcooked and chewy. The shrimp, same thing. The crab, it was acceptable. The best thing in this bag was the sausage. There was also potatoes and corn, but I didn't bother to try it. So if you are looking for something quick with no line, come here. But if you want quality and are willing to wait, go somewhere else. I was quite surprised to see a lot of pick up orders taking place.

I am in love with Cajun Republic!!!…read more I heard about this truck through good ole Instagram!! I would see all the delicious pictures they post on their page and oh my goodness I would just drool over their posts!! They are located on the corner of Euclid and La Palma in Anaheim. The food truck is in the Mobil gas station and since right now I can't drive myself around because of my broken foot. I asked my hubby if he would stop by on his way home from work one day when "he had time" ;) Well today worked out beautifully!! He called my from the truck and asked what I wanted! I already knew since two weeks ago, (I had been dreaming of this moment for a while!!) Lol! A pound of shrimp and corn on the cob!! It was the Spicy Garlic Cajun Shrimp!! I don't know what the spice level was but I wasn't disappointed!!! There might be a spicier level for you heat lovers out there! So I get my order and it was so beautiful! Huge shrimp, lots of garlic, so saucy, four pieces of corn on the cob aaaand sausage! They also added a sauce in a small container that I'm not quite sure what it was but it tasted amazing!! The corn with the Cajun sauce was WOW! I just fell in love! The price was less than $18 for everything, so well worth every penny! I will definitely be back when I am able to drive myself over here and get my stamp card filled for some free shrimp!! :) Five stars!!! Thanks for reading!!
