Michigan Advanced Aesthetics used to be state of the art with the best staff, equipment and on top of all the beauty trends. I stopped taking B12 and had to start a whole new routine of skin care. But NOW, I can proudly say my skin looks the best its ever been in over 10 years. Is it perfect and completely even toned? Nope! There's areas of deep pigmentation still hanging in there. But my skin is so healthy now and I could've done it without skinphorea. Brielle and Aalayah were absolutely amazing! They got my skin together and were so encouraging the entire process! I've been consistent with my regimen and don't plan on stopping in the near future.

I hadn't a had a facial in years, I was looking forward to this. Earlier in the day while grocery shopping, either my wallet was stolen or I misplaced it. I knew that they had this no show policy where they charge you if you don't come. So I called and told them what happened, that I had no way to pay, considering it was Sunday and there weren't any banks open. I was willing to come in and have the facial (I wasn't technically no showing) I just couldn't pay them at that moment. I was stuck, I had no idea what to do. Then they have the audacity to ask if I could borrow the money from someone!!!!!!!!!!!! Um no, I am a grown woman, I'm not going to go ask a family member to loan me money for a facial. The girl says, "ok well I'm going to talk to my manager about the circumstances and I'll get back with you". It is now five days later (no call from anyone) and guess what comes across on my account. A 59.00 charge for no showing. Actually now that I'm sitting here thinking of it, I gave them my card information when I made the appointment so I wouldn't be bothered having to stop at the desk after a relaxing facial. WHY DIDN'T THEY REMIND ME OF THAT , when I was desperately trying to think of how to pay for it. They certainly didn't forget about my card on file when they wanted to charge me 59.00 for not showing up, but didn't even think of it when considering solutions. Then the final nail in the coffin, they send me this email, asking how my facial with Erin was..................

The provider discussed a realistic approach, including how consistency and sun protection can be important, rather than promising an instant fix. I really appreciated the honest and practical advice. Everyone in the office was welcoming, and the appointment felt calm and well organized. I had enough time to ask about my skincare routine and understand what changes would make sense for me. I left feeling more informed and comfortable with the plan. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return for future skincare needs.

I have been a patient for about 2-3 years now. While the practitioners are great, I'm incredibly…read moredisappointed in some of the carelessness I experienced in medication prescriptions as well as a recent billing incident that left a very poor impression. At my last appointment, I was sold their in-house ointment that evidently contained an allergen of mine that is in my patient record and has been since I first started going there. No one took the time to apparently check before handing it off to me. I had to return on my own time in the middle of a work day to return the medication. Not to mention, when I was called for in the waiting room for my appointment, they called me by the completely wrong name (they literally called me "Jezebel", not even close to my actual name, and when I informed them, there was no apology. The tech just entered a different version of my name in my notes "so they would know how to pronounce it next time"-- incredibly rude as someone who already deals with people mispronouncing my name often.) Now I'm dealing with an unauthorized charge to my primary payment method for the bill from my last appointment, even though I had already paid them with my HSA card as soon as I received the claim from my insurance. I called multiple times to speak to a manager after speaking with billing (which was incredibly unhelpful and did not reverse the card charge as they claimed they would). No one would route me to a manager or claimed a "case manager" would get back to me (they never did), and each person I spoke to on the phone had a very poor attitude despite this being a correction on their end. I ended up emailing them with a thorough explanation of the situation, requesting reversal of the unauthorized charge and asking to see the policy/consent form which states they are allowed to charge my card without my express authorization. I received a passive aggressive one sentence email in response saying my charge would be reversed in 24 hours (with zero comment on the unauthorized nature of the charge or evidence of any policy that allows them to do so on my behalf). No apology for the inconvenience, no confirmation or proof, just one sentence reply. Extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and unnecessary difficulty in issue resolution from a medical care facility. I can't say I want to return after going through this.

For the HydraFacial I have mixed reviews. I got a package of 3 as it came to a much lower cost and all 3 were inconsistent. First two were fine by the same person and first one was rushed (that is the feeling I got), the second one was very nice and I was able to see how much junk was cleaned, the third one was done by a diffetent person after more than 30 minutes delay... also had a feeling it was rushed and my face did not felt as good a after the second one (in the following days and weeks). So I'm not sure if I'll be back for any of these... The reason I'm giving the place 4 stars is Halina. She is the best masseuse ever! I go there for a deep tissue massage and she takes an amazing care of me. She definitely knows what she is doing, she targets the issue and makes it go away. Very well educated in not only the physical aspect of the body but also spiritual and mental and how it impacts our body and muscle tension. She constantly learns new things and tries to improve. I always leave so relaxed, I could go there once a week if only the price was better. Highly recommend Halina if you are looking for a good massage and professional masseuse.
