The staff welcomed us as we came in. The bakery was cleaned and well staffed. The signage was absolutely beautiful and well explained. The cookies are a must have and baked to perfection. We received a free cookie because it was their grand opening! This is my new dessert shop!! Sorry guys I didn't take a picture of my cookies we ate them fast! Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter was a hit!!

My friend had the Anko which is filled with a Japanese sweet bean paste. She liked hers as well. You place your order and wait 5 minutes. There were three of us and our fishes came out pronto. When you order you see WAFU ice cream waffle cones. Visually these are beautiful and unusual flavors. They fill the cones with vanilla or matcha ice cream. If I had not been bundled up for a January day I would have taken a licking. Like them on FB for dates and locations.

Their taiyaki is delicious- I ordered their grilled cheese taiyaki but I've had their other flavors before. They are super cute and filling, and I even got to try their Cherry Blossom soft serve made from real cherry blossoms! It was perfect on a sunny day (even though the weather was a little chilly). I highly recommend trying Wafu Taiyaki if they pop up at an event near you!

An interesting one was strawberry banana. Her cupcakes are beautifully decorated. I enjoyed a vanilla one with white frosting that was good but don't usually buy them. She has found that cinnamon rolls are popular in this area and has been experimenting with flavored ones--I enjoy the cream cheese covered one and a biscoff one. The standout for me was the Holiday Ham breakfast sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to its name. Built on a flaky buttermilk biscuit, it layers a light, fluffy egg soufflé with thinly sliced ham, praline bacon that adds just the right touch of sweetness, and a cranberry orange jam that ties everything together with a bright, unexpected pop. Every bite tasted thoughtful and seasonal without being overcomplicated--comfort food elevated. I paired it with Jennie's Dolce seasonal espresso drink, and it was so good I immediately wanted another. Even more impressive? The second one tasted just as perfect as the first--a small detail that says a lot about their consistency and care behind the bar. The coffee shop ambience immediately stands out, with a relaxed yet polished vibe that makes it just as ideal for a casual morning as it is for catching up on work or meeting friends. Service was warm and efficient, and you can tell this place has become a staple in the downtown community. If you appreciate creative twists on classic breakfast favorites and expertly crafted coffee drinks, Black & Brew is well worth the stop. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Believed to be a "Scratch Kitchen", this amazing find has a menu that I find myself excited about returning to try. We ordered a drink and an order of the Frescos Egg Rolls. The drink was spot on and the Egg Rolls amazing. We opted not to order a main course due to eating just a couple hours prior but I knew right then and there that I'd be back to try other selections from the menu. The manager, Shane, came around to every table to chat and check in. The food was absolutely amazing. We got the house breakfast and a biscoff cinnamon roll. The house breakfast came out quick, and everything was cooked perfectly. The cinnamon roll was massive! We barely put a dent in it. The price for everything was really good as well. They have bottomless brunch if that is an interest. The menu was pretty big with a lot of unique options. This will definitely be a place we return to frequently. They have a great variety of flavors for the coffees and lattes. They also have a decent selection of sugar free options. There is a pretty big patio area; the bar is also a really good size. They have a variety of seating, so they can accommodate larger groups. It was easy to get in when we went on a Saturday at around 10, but by the time we left there was definitely a wait. They only have a set amount of the specialty homemade cinnamon rolls, so I'd go early if that's what you are craving.
