Service was amazing and the ice cream to match. It was rich and creamy without being too sweet. The waffle cone was ok. But disappointed with that. It wasn't particularly fresh (or maybe the storage somehow wasn't sealed all the way) and it was blended with cinnamon. Now, I like cinnamon but that's not going to match every flavor. And some people may dislike cinnamon. I had no idea it had cinnamon until the end. The ratio was much stronger of ice cream to cone by the end and honestly all I tasted was cinnamon. Location is ok, but you may not realize there's parking in the back if you've never been there. It is at a light so crossing and turning into the place is easy. Atmosphere and ice cream itself were stupendous. I recommend getting the cone with vanilla or just getting the scoops. Unless you love cinnamon and there you go. Their competitor downtown is better in some ways, BUT Bright Ice has better flavors and more traditional type of flavors. This is an important distinction which makes it stand out on its own. Honestly, I will return for a pint of that Espresso with Kahula. Great addition to the Lakeland scene and I would definitely recommend this. read more

Lakeland's newest ice cream spot does not disappoint! I have been to a Bright Ice location in Tampa so I was excited when I heard they were coming to Lakeland. This is located at the very edge of Dixieland across the street from Cob & Pen, and now next door to By the Chef pizza and a wine garden. So it's a pretty great spot with a lot of stuff to walk to nearby. I love the theme here too- Bright Ice is BRIGHT and vibrant; and it feels more like an old school ice cream shop with the big sphere lights and burnt orange & yellow primary colors, and wood furnishing. Their ice creams are wonderful, I think they're handmade in house? Or at least that's how they taste, there's no way it's manufactured scream because it's too good. And they have atypical flavors which I always appreciate because it's fun to try unique ice creams and not just have the same flavors you see at every shop. But along with ice cream, they do serve coffee here as well. Better yet, you can add a shot of espresso to your shake or get an affogato and have the best of both worlds. I will be back to try one or both for sure. Parking is behind the building but could get difficult as it's shared with the pizza place & wine garden and isn't real big to begin with. They have limited seating and there is some outdoor seating, but with the wine garden next door now too I think it'll be a good place to sit out and enjoy. We stopped in after dinner next door and we're so glad we did! The employees were extremely friendly and allowed us to sample a few items. Ended up choosing Oat of this World and Roasted Strawberries with Brown Sugar and Balsamic. This was some of the creamiest, most flavorful ice cream! If you've had Chill Bros in Tampa, I'd put Bright Ice on par with them. The flavor selection and portion size were top notch especially for the value. There's some cozy seating inside and a nice patio out front, too, which we enjoyed. Highly recommend! read more

I had a great first experience, once inside, with their dedicated & well-versed employees. I enjoyed my affogato with coffee ice cream and the flowers on their beautiful front patio overlooking S Fl Av. I'll look forward to getting back to try the coffee drinks and shakes. Love that they make their own ice cream (in the Tampa store). Unfortunately parking will be the "beef" for the location. The parking lot is not "well made" and my van def bottomed out on the way in and out of the space. That being said, until I discover or luck into better parking for my vehicle I'm not likely to return. read more

Stumbled across this ice cream shop heading to the dry cleaners. We stopped in and immediately noticed the flavors were unique and different. I got the peach crisp. It tasted just like peach cobbler! Not a lot to choose from. I got the Kailua and expresso and also tried the lemon ginger and they are just not flavors I would go out of my way for again. Especially knowing there are only about 12 parking spots that 3 businesses share, and signs on the door informing customers they will be towed if they park next door;) Glad I stopped and tried. This ice cream shop just opened up off of South Florida ave and it's so yummy! The flavors are so unique yet everyone can find something they like. All ice creams are hand made and delicious. You can try any flavor you like before you select your favorite. They have signature coffee drinks with alternative milk options. They also have dessert bars if you aren't feeling like eating ice cream. The service was great and the employees were very helpful and nice! The whole vibe was bright, fun, and cheerful. Ice cream was good! Reminded me a lot of Mayday ice cream but you get a lot more in your cup which is always nice. They have pastries and coffee but we just tried the ice cream. It was cute inside and service was great. I don't have a picture because we ate it so fast lol. Overall nice experience and I will be recommending to others! read more
