Their semi-sweet chocolate chip NEVER disappoints. I was debating on getting nibblers or regular-sized cookies, but I didn't want to pay too much for cute, mini cookies. I ended up getting 1 regular-sized cookie, and I thought it was good! The staff that helped was really friendly. I'd recommend this location, and I'm definitely planning to come back soon!

Don't play with my emotions!…read more I walked in with high hopes, and honestly for the price I expected my socks to be blown off. These are not cheap cookies. I paid about $22 for four, which I understand are supposed to be "exotic" flavors. Let's start with the one I was most excited to try: the Golden Dubai. The name alone sets the bar pretty high. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to it for me. It was extremely sweet and covered in glitter. Oddly enough, the display cookie didn't have the glitter, so I'm not sure if that was added afterward or what the deal was. They also poured some kind of liquid over the cookie before serving it. I'm honestly not sure what it was, maybe some type of sugar glaze, but it pushed the sweetness way over the top. And I'm not exaggerating when I say this cookie had me wired. It was so sugary that I actually felt jittery afterward and had to lie down for a bit. My blood pressure was definitely on level nine after that one. The pistachio was decent, but still sweeter than I prefer. Then I tried the Mediterranean one (the red cookie) and it had the same issue: just overwhelmingly sweet. At that point I didn't even bother with the other two. I ended up giving them to my neighbor's daughter. Maybe my taste buds have changed over the years, but I just can't tolerate that level of sweetness anymore. For me personally, this place is a no. That said, if you love very sweet, over-the-top dessert cookies, this might absolutely be your thing. Plenty of people probably love them. But for me? Sorry CRAVE, I really had high hopes. I did try the chocolate chip bites, that one was really good. The place is beautiful and clean so again, thats a plus!

There have been many mornings when I would arrive to my internship site and have smelled some of their baked goodies luring in the air. That alone drove me crazy because I never had the time to visit upon smelling. And I vowed to visit one morning when I had some spare time. Upon entering Lady D's Bakery I did not know what to expect because it is not like the typical bakeries I have visited. Lady D's Bakery, bakes and supplies desserts to restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations, but luckily it is open to the public for purchases. So do not get your hopes up upon visiting because it is not a traditional bakery. During my visit I had my eyes on the chocolate chip, but ended up purchasing the turtle, which looks and tastes similar to a smore, yet in the form of a cookie. In the end, the turtle did not disappoint, and my colleagues enjoyed it as well. I recommend eating it with either milk or coffee to enhance your indulgence. In closing, if you just so happen to be in the Ford City Mall area, I reccomend stopping in, but if not then be on the lookout for Lady Di's products all over Chicago, as well as in many locations out of state.
