First, the Southlake location is extremely clean and appears to have a good selection of EA's products for viewing on the sales floor. After a bad experience with a competing furniture store in Frisco, I asked Jo Brabham from EA Southlake to help me with a small project selecting dining room chairs to coordinate with a few existing items. I have to say I am so thankful I decided to work with Jo on this small project. Jo took the time to review my request and try to understand my design preference. She took time out to come to my house to ensure the options selected were a good fit. I really got the sense she was concerned about 1) my satisfaction 2) actually listening to my design preference and 3) finding options that would work from a design perspective but also keep me happy based on my tastes. I did not feel I was being pressured to buy anything or that something was being suggested I'd be unhappy with just to make a sale, which I really appreciate. I truly felt I was getting advice from someone who actually understands design concepts. After placing my order, I received a call to update my on the status and was told to call at anytime for a status update. I received my order 2-3 weeks earlier than the projected date. After my 1st experience, I asked Jo to help me fix a mistake made by a competing store's designer for a club chair. Again, I felt there was an effort to understand what I want and keep me happy while also picking something that will truly look good in my house. I look forward to seeing the chair once it arrives in a few weeks and am confident I'll be happy with it. Furniture is very expensive, and I have learned the hard way that you have to be educated on what you are buying and ensure someone is guiding you to make the correct choices. I am confident EA Southlake will provide proper guidance and look forward to continuing to work with them as other items come up with my house.

My very first brand new furniture I bought when I started adulting was a Sleigh Bed Bedroom Set from Weir's from their Knox location in Dallas. They have been my go-to for my adult life. I am not going to say I have bought every piece of furniture that I own from them, but I will say I have regretted it every time I have not. It's hard to beat old fashioned customer service and a place that puts value in doing business with them. That is why I was saddened to hear they were closing their stores. While I am saddened by it, they have some great sales going on right now. It's a great time to upgrade if you need to!

Haverty's must be making big bucks by referring customers to Guardsman. Read the reviews and note the same complaints and unresolved "waiting" situations for customers. Shame on Haverty's for using this company. They even have an in-house rep who is supposed to help with problems. Cushy position to just say they are "ordering parts" that may take 12 weeks to arrive. Guardsman doesn't answer the phone. It rings for two hours. Review after review supports this statement. We had the same experience. After finally answering the phone, the customer service rep (if they can be called that) put my husband on hold for another half an hour to order parts that we thought had already been ordered by the gentlemen who came to our home and told us indeed, we did have three non-working motor parts that needed to be replaced. The gentleman stood right in our home and phoned Guardsman with the necessary parts information. After waiting more than a month, and after waiting two hours for G to answer the phone, we were told they needed more information in order to order parts! After we order parts, it might take 12 weeks to get the parts. After the correct parts are received, you still have to schedule the repairs to be done! Shop other furniture stores. I called Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Weirs in Southlake. Neither company uses Guardsman. . Nebraska furniture Mart was adamant that after much trouble with Guardsman- they fired them. Haverty's needs to fire Guardsman and try to regain confidence in its customers! Because Havertys continues to use Guardsman for their protection plan service; we cannot support or shop in their stores again. They need to provide reliable service to their customers. They are well aware of all of the problems with Guardsman. The Havertys department in charge of hiring, a reliable company for a protection plan service has failed. The entire department should be fired For ignoring the problems and continuing to use this scam of a company. Eventually, the bed motor was replaced, but it was a painful experience. Do not shop furniture stores who use this company for repairs whether it be a bed motor or upholstery repairs or anything else. Run run run away.

The few ladies in the store who have helped me are nice, but because my designer ordered online, they simply turned me over to their terrible customer service. Total price for Table, chairs and sideboard was just shy of $15,000. Both were to be custom made. We got our 1st delivery of the items on April 30, 2026. It was clear that there were issues right off the bat. One of the leafs for the table had a gap, the cabinets to the sideboard had gaps and did not close correctly, the chair cushion was off center a bit but that was the least of our concern. So, we reported the problems that same day and we were told a repair person would come to our house and fix it and he came as promised after about 2-3 weeks and he determined the doors to the cabinet were warped and not fixable and the leaf not fitting was not fixable, construction error. He was great and we have no complaints about him and his work. We waited another 6 weeks for the replacement tabletop and cabinet doors to be delivered. They were delivered to the same repair person so he could come install and he rejected the table for defects. The cabinet doors were brought by him some weeks later and installed. Sept 8, 2026 we got our new table with leaf's that fit. My complaint and the reasons I will never shop with them again are in short that they clearly have no quality control at the factory. You would think furniture that costs this much would be inspected in place before delivery, apparently not. Even after a bad delivery the fact that they once again sent a defective table further confirms poor quality control. Nearly six months after the original purchase we finally have what we paid for. No discount or rebate offered for the aggravation and inability to get and use the furniture we paid for. Bottom line is that Bassett does not stand for quality and I have no confidence that our purchases will stand the test of time. I regret shopping there and will post this warning everywhere I can so others don't have to suffer through this aggravation.

Well, my custom recliner sofa only too 4 1/2 weeks from order to delivery! Less than half the time…read morethey quoted. They are much bigger than I expected so they don't fit the room as well as I had hoped but they look like I expected. It's working out fine, but the two inside recliners can't be fully reclined at the same time because they had to be set up closer together in the room than I expected due to their size. The preorder measurements given are smaller than actual. That is why they don't fit the room as comfortably as I'd like. (Also why 4 stars instead of 5) I think the value of these sofas may not be obvious until I see how long they last. They had better last a very long time. They're certainly heavy! They are also a bit firmer than I expected so I'm hoping it's just a "break in" period. However, I am enjoying coming to my spot to kickback, recline and relax each day. Also, I love that the backs of these sofas are not split like most reclining sofas. The backs of the are visible from other rooms so it was important to me that you couldn't tell they were recliners. They recline inside of the sofa shell they are built in to. It just looks like a pretty, white, leather sofa and loveseat.

She argued with me when I said if it's not decor, it should be put somewhere else rather than by the sale sign that was misleading. Again, in a rude voice, she said, where would you like me to put it. It was fine it wasn't on sale, but that comment was uncalled for and very unprofessional. When I got home, I looked up Christmas Decor on Kirkland website and the very same tree is listed. The store is great and had fabulous things, but they are lacking customer service.
