So let's say you have a wife that likes to back into things, pull out in front of other vehicles or get hit by people that aren't paying attention and pull out in front of the giant red mini van. Possibly you've rear-ended a police car on an icy day. After a giant snow fall you tried backing out of your driveway onto a snow covered street only to back into a parked car. I'm not saying we've done any (all) of these things, but I'm just saying in case this happens, where do you take your vehicle to get it repaired? Auto Rehab Crash 1 has done a great job on the three vehicles I've taken to them. You can't see any of the damage that was done when they are finished. Every time I've called, they have been polite and courteous. They have worked with my schedule. If I have to leave a message they respond quickly. The best part is that they do back their work too. Two days before Christmas '10, I backed into a neighbor's car. My Silverado's bumper and bed was damaged. I scheduled the repairs at Crash 1 and with in a couple of days of dropping it off, my truck was restored to like new condition. You couldn't see any damage at all. Flash forward to a couple of weeks ago. The pad on the bumper started coming off, I took it back to them and with out any questions or excuses they made the arrangements to fix it with no additional charge to me. I dropped it off this morning at 8:00 AM and was able to pick it up at lunch time. Everything looked good. They told me that if the same thing should happen again, bring it back and they will replace the entire bumper. I know some people will think "They should have fixed it right the first time." I think they did, I believe that the pad they used came off the old bumper per the insurance company and it had been damaged in a way that neither saw until the temperatures were in the upper 90s and it warped. Things happen, and they took care of it. Whether it was their mistake or uncontrollable circumstances, they made it right. read more

This was by far my worst experience at a bodyshop in my entire life. My car was brought to them on June 16th, and my estimated repair time was told would be July 13th. July 13th came and went and no call was received, no attempt to notify me that my car wouldn't be done on time. So I call them up on the 14th wondering whats going on, they inform me it will at least be another week before my car is ready... "Thats ok" I reassured myself, "things happen and people make mistakes, at least when your car is done you can be sure that they took special care of it" I thought, seeing as how this blunder would surly cost me money out of pocket to continue to rent a car. Unfortunately I was sorely mistaken.. I return to Crash 1 on Perryville on July 22nd, hopefully ready to take my car home finally- it might have taken a bit longer than expected but at least it's fixed, right?....wrong again, I pay them my $1,000 deductible, and get in my car and drive down colloseuom drive to turn right on Perryville road, my dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree... ABS light is on, the traction control light is on, and the emergency brake light is on- so I turn around at Crimson Ridge, and take my car back. When getting out of my car to go back inside and inform them that my car wasn't fixed properly, I use my keyless entry to try and lock my door, and surprise surprise, my key FOB is no longer working. So I go inside and inform them of the issues my car is still experiencing. This lead to my estimator, Shiela, calling around to 4 or 5 different mystery people to tell me that it's the battery and they didn't have any idea what to do, and finally telling me that they're going to have to keep the car and it will be an additional week or two until it's finished. I reluctantly accept this answer and leave in one of their loaner cars that they finally loaned me after over $350 worth of rental car charges paid at my expense. Fast forward to August 10th, I get the call saying that my car is finally repaired, and ready to be picked up. So I full up the loaner with gas so I won't be charged $10 per gallon by these crooks, and head over. Upon arrival, no one is sure where my paperwork is, and when I finally do get to my car I quickly change the battery in the key FOB and my keyless entry is still not working whatsoever. My estimator, looks at me and says "I don't know what you want me to do" and gets her boss, she comes over and looks at the car and says "what does the FOB have to do with the accident?" To which I quickly reply that "I'm certain it was working before the crash" and this mystery boss woman says " I was asking Sheila a question". At this point I just want my car back, and for $150 I could buy a new FOB and be done with these rude people. So I tell them how dissatisfied I was, which was met with nothing but smug smiles. So I get in my car and begin to drive away in disbelief that they would treat a customer like this, especially one they have wronged multiple times. But as I turn onto Perryville once again, the seat belt notification will not stop digging, even though I am wearing my seat belt and there is no passenger, and my TPMS is flashing on and off continuously. Once inside I am told that I'm not allowed to stand and wait for my estimator, and then am pulled into a back office with the mystery boss woman. She is very quick to pass the buck onto the dealership and called them begging for them to get my car in today to no avail. She angrily hangs up the phone and asks me what I would like to do, as if I'm hassling her for their poor customer service. I laugh and say I think I'm going to call my adjustor and arrange for my car to be taken elsewhere. This clearly infuriated the mystery woman because she stood up screaming that I can just get out. So I get up to do so and am literally pushed out of the shop. The only reason I've given this place any stars at all is that there is not a zero star option. If you can learn anything from my experience, I hope it's this, when you're in an accident, you have the right to chose any repair shop you want- DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE, they used knockoff parts, for a repair that they never finished, then when confronted with their shoddy work, I was ejected from the premises. Rockford is a city full of good reputable body shops, but this is NOT one of them. read more

The customer service is AMAZING! Extremely friendly and understanding. You dont feel like your not welcome or they don't want to help you. Your greeted right when you walk through the door. They do great work on the vehicle's for good prices. They work with a lot of insurances companies like USAA. They were more then willing to throw another quote on the vehicle for a separate issue that I was having when it was in there to get repaired for something else. I would go back here even if it cost a little more just for the customer service and the friendly atmosphere. Its the small things that customers noticed and thats what I pay attention to and they hit it out of the park! read more

I've had 2 hail damaged cars repaired here. They repaired both perfectly, did it promptly and even supplied a rental car from their fleet at no charge. When we went to pick up the cars, my wife was given free flowers! How cool was that? And very nice people too! Highly recommended! read more

I was amazed at their quality of service and they went above and beyond my expectations. I walked in to just get an estimate for damage due to a hit & run accident that happened to me since they were an approved shop with my insurance company. After leaving the collision center, I received a followup text from the manager Tony Arbisi and asking me when I would like to schedule the repair. I set up a date and time to bring it in and pick up the free loaner that they offered me since I didn't have any type of car rental on my insurance. This was a nice added touch since I was never offered a loaner before from any body shop and have always had to worry about transportation issues while vehicle was being repaired. They are right up on technology with notifying customers however you choose to be notified of the repair process. Another nice added touch! This is from 1995, but still sticks in my mind, because of the horrible service I had. My girlfriend was told by insurance company (State Farm) that she had to go with these bozos for her new 1995 car. I personally worked in auto body back then and had to return her car 4 times from things they didn't do right. Last time I picked it up they refused to repair what they did wrong telling my the owner did the work this time. First time I picked car up they primer ed inner part of doorway, but didn't paint. Laughed and said they must have forgot to do it. They replaced the middle counsel with one that had a crack going down the side stating that my insurance would not pay for new parts and they had to make this one fit from different car in junk yard. The insulation around door fell down with-in a month due to lack of glue. Paint had runs going down and did not match color. My auto insurance company then refused to pay or get it fixed even when they agreed the paint job was horrible. I had to just do the work correctly myself. STAY CLEAR OF THESE GUYS, AND STATE FARM INSURANCE!!!! read more
