If you think the shower looks small, don't worry, it's smaller haha. But it works and aside from the tight fit it's spacious. The room seems to sit over the back of the kitchen, but it's tucked away from the other rooms. We were able to watch some basic tv after dinner and the windows open for some fresh air, which is nice. There's a wardrobe, table and stool, a chair and 2 night stands for furniture. Plenty of space for two people. We were even able to get some laundry done. For an additional 10 pounds the wait staff took a load and washed, dried and folded it for us. We dropped it off in the morning and picked it up the same afternoon. Dining here was a pleasure. Breakfast was included and the full Scottish was delicious! We also had dinner here and they have a good selection of options and will even allow you to take drinks up to your room when you're finished dining. It's not a fancy place, but it's so homey and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you're passing through Invergordon make sure to stop here for a meal or a stay.

No problem, that's on me, even though the hours published on their website don't list the kitchen closing during any certain times and their hours went until much, much later. The discourteous person on the other end of the phone explains to me that their kitchen hours are 1115a to 730p. Thanks, we will see you before long then. We arrive just prior to 3pm and the same person I spoke to on the phone informs me that they simply have nothing available; reservations required. Now, this isn't posted on their website, but I understand that since it's Easter Sunday, they may have temporary rules for that. But how about this? TELL ME THAT ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALL AND ASK ABOUT TODAY'S KITCHEN HOURS!!! My bottom line in this place is that they may have great food, but I suspect that they just aren't tourist friendly. We will not give them a third opportunity and if you're here for leisure, I'd recommend that you avoid this place as well. Unless you draft an airtight questionnaire determining when they will deign to allow you to be seated for dinner. And maybe the hostess/phone person should be picked for her abilities to communicate in a friendly, approachable manner.

And despite being quite full from the delicious Brie with its bright chutney and balsamic, followed by the light sea bass over beautifully rich squash risotto, we somehow managed to save room for dessert. After our order was placed - AND the 'starter' was brought to table, the server came back to table to say the kitchen 'just informed him that the 'Special' Cod over Butternut Squash from the specials board was apparently not available..... They would replace the North Sea Cod with halibut as the special. Unfortunately the kitchen neglected to tell the waiter that actually the squash too wasn't available and the substituted 'special' was altogether a different combination of veg, fish, and a super rich sauce. Waiter admitted he was disappointed that kitchen didn't tell him the entire special wasn't as listed. A proper resolve could have included some bit of a minor offer of compensation, (discount or perhaps the £7 small glass of wine). Yet not even an apology - just an original comment by the server that he was surprised the kitchen didn't tell him they completely modified the "Special" - Dinner experience across the river Ness was every bit of what one hopes for when on holiday!
