The first day Sel came out and found the problem with one of the units (A/C was running but not cooling). He came out on the day we requested service that afternoon. Once the problem was identified (coil needed remove/replace), it was done 3 days later. I found Sel and Medid to be very knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all the questions we had. I would highly recommend Elite Air Conditioning and Heating in Midlothian, TX, to anyone who needs repair/service from this company. I appreciate their experience, knowledge, and hard working guys!

He seemed to carefully measure the refrigerant going in. He measured the unusually long lines to accommodate requirements. Before cleaning up he measured the coolness coming out of the vents and we were both happy it was 55 F degrees. This is the second time we used them and were pleased with the service both times. Cost was what we expected and we were very happy with the experience both times. They've become our go-to AC service for our mini-split systems.

I was appalled at the only review showing one star - what was this guy thinking? This is, without a doubt, the best heating and air conditioning service group we have ever known or been in contact with. They have always been respectful of both myself and my wife. No tracking of mud or dirt into the house - boots left outside. We are thrilled to have them take care of our air conditioning and heating unit.

Once the call was made it was "Boots on the ground" because Ms, Christy was able to get me scheduled that day(4-6pm). However, she did better and called me back to ask if she could send a technician within 30 mins. (Yay!!) I was inside my home with temp at 87 degrees. Mike and Tarion were professional as they diagnosed the issue. Mike did a great job explaining to me what the problem was and confirmed my warranty information. He also took pictures from the attic to show me what was going on with the coil. I was given a quote for the work. This is where I didn't quite understand why it was so pricey given Chat GPT was providing the average cost much less. I spoke with Tony, and he provided the breakdown for the estimate for the labor cost. The two men were good and I appreciate Drew and Sam for their hard work and willingness to make sure all my questions were answered. They were professional and friendly and very nice guys. They were quick because it took 2.5 hours to complete the job. Because of that, I overlooked the very expensive labor fee. :-) I would give the company a five star if I felt they showed complete transparency with their labor fees per hour. I know most companies do not want to disclose that information, but this provides the consumer with a sense of respect and not being taken advantage of the situation. I feel this would be a fair. All that to say is, I am happy to be back in a cool home. I now have a home warranty. All I pay is a deductible. :-)

When…read moreCanard's was purchased by DunRite, we continued with DunRite and didn't have a problem until this year. We requested an annual service on our current residence (4 yr old house). The rep inspected the system and reported back that we had a serious problem. He took me up to the attic where the HVAC units were and told me his gas detection device showed a high gas reading and the gas had to be turned OFF for our safety. Then he had me listen (via speaker phone) while he discussed the situation with his Boss. They pressed to set a date to replace the system but I told them I had to think it over. I did get a second opinion the next day from a neighbor's HVAC company. He reported that there was not a gas leak and everything was good. Summary: 1) Check references when a company has been purchased. 2) Get a second opinion when you are made to feel that something must be decided immediately. 3) Be suspicious.

Be advised that the Canards Benbrook Service of an independent, hometown, reasonably priced,…read moresuperior service has been taken over by a larger company called Dunrite. Sadly, Kenny, who always provided knowledgable expertise, and went above and beyond to provide exceptional service at a great price, has retired. Dunrite was able to get my air conditioner up and running, but at a cost of $317 for an after-hours trip charge & diagnostic for one hour and then $350 to return for 45 minutes the next day to install the part, so almost $700 for a switch. I was never given a timeline when or if someone would return to fix the unit, but fortunately was home when they arrived. I can't fault the workmanship, for which I am grateful, but had to pay probably 3x what Canards would have charged. Ashton needs to communicate better regarding costs & scheduling.
