I am a visual artist, Angélique Glennon, and I've been going to Craig's Plastics for years. He has made all of the shadow boxes for my artwork, and the quality has always been excellent. He is exceptionally trustworthy, runs his business with integrity, and truly understands the mechanics of plexiglass. He is always kind, flexible, and easy to work with. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of craftsmanship he provides. It is rare to find someone so reliable and skilled. I highly recommend Craig's Plastics. read more

We had an art print we wanted framed in lucite and had no idea where to start. A friend pointed us to Craig and we couldn't have had a better experience. He was incredibly helpful, listened to what we were looking for and had a lot of great suggestions. He worked fast and we couldn't be more thrilled with the final product! Can't recommend Craig enough. read more

Craig's Plastics - Framed art on our wall - Party & Event Planning Near Me - Inglewood, California

Ive been going to Craigs for at least 5+ years and have spent close to 10k. I wish it didn't have to come to this but now that there is artwork missing/stolen worth $10k I cant just let this be. Throughout the history that Ive had with Craig there have been lots(!) of miscommunication, wrong sizing, Craig going MIA for 5 to 6 months multiple times while I just sit around and spend thousands of dollars on bills with no income. He's had several projects of mine for the last 6 months. Ive driven to craigs 8 times, an hour each way to check in. Thats 16 hours. I would call and he wouldnt answer, but if I called right back with a *67 (block my number) he would answer. Today I was fed up and went and picked up the 3 projects that have just been sitting, only to find out one for the pieces of artwork is missing and a large portion of the material I brought out over there that he was too lazy to order in the first place was missing. He didn't seem too concerned, other than it was just gone or I must have taken it. Why would I take it and drive over there 8 times to see why youve done nothing to it in 6 months. It appears to me that he made the piece and sold it off. It sat there long enough over the last 6 months that everyone that goes in there seen. So whoever has this piece, you have stolen artwork and if it ever goes on social media I will come after it. The name change from "I love lucite", Craig always making sure the door is locked and bullet holes in windows all start to kinda make sense that Craig isn't really a professional person. Just another terrible acrylic person added to the long list of horrible acrylic businesses in Los Angeles area. As a side note its been 2 months since the artwork has been missing and still no word from Craig. See if you in small claims. You might want to start thinking of a new name again since Im sure you'll just go bankrupt. read more

Professional and personal, my experience with Craig was top notch during every stage. Excellent quote, fair price, and quick and easy service resulted in a fantastic custom product that perfectly met my needs. I wish every company I encountered could take a lesson from Craig. A fantastic experience from start to finish. I can't recommend this company high enough. read more

I've known Craig for years and he never fails to amaze me with his understanding of design, scale, balance, and proportions. He has made display cases for paintings and artwork and has made museum-quality display boxes for some of my Han Dynasty pieces (206 BC-220 A.D.). No matter how small or large the scale of a project is, Craig can make something ordinary into something special and something special into something extraordinary. Also his easygoing personality and sincere willingness to make you a satisfied customer make projects a pleasure from the beginning to the end. Craig is a true plastics maven, I wouldn't even think about going to anyone else. read more

First off, I'll say that Craig's prices are very fair and that end the product came out to my liking. I did, however, feel a little strong-armed. It could have just been a miscommunication. I came in just to see a sample of what the acrylic. He showed me, asked me for the size I wanted, and then said he'd be right back. He came back literally 5 minutes later with the final product. I had never said that I came to purchase it, I was still considering a few options (like AE Plastics, which I was probably going to end up going with). However, since he already made it, I felt like I had to take it. He did made some quick adjustments for me (rounded the edges), so that was great. The piece looks good in my home, but the whole process left me feeling off. read more

4.5 Stars! Craig, of Craig's Plastics (A.K.A. I Love Lucite), is an artist with great passion, knowledge, understanding and skill in his medium. His upbeat personality, his gallery showroom and his backroom studio, will confirm this. I couldn't keep my eyes off the towering Lucite library ladder, like the one he made for Drew Barrymore's shoe closet. A gracefully curved podium also caught my eye. I had a vision of creating a dining table of Lucite boomerang bases topped with beveled plate glass. Craig listened, made some notes but cautioned with sincere honesty, integrity, that such a design might not be practical in earthquake prone SoCal. He made a few more notes, quoted a fair price but suggested I think seriously about the project. I did. If you're in the market for any or all things Lucite, Craig is the artist to consult. I want to start off by saying that Craig is awesome! He is one of the most knowledgeable people in all of Southern California when it comes to lucite fabrication (Trust me when I say that). I, myself, have been very fond of acrylic/lucite for over 20 years and know what good quality fabrication is. Craig has such a great reputation for quality craftsmanship and has been around for many years. He has all the hands on experience and finesse it takes to be considered the Master Fabricator that he is. I'm definitely not the only person who feels that way, just check out all the other reviews from satisfied customers because I'm just one of the many! read more

We moved to the North county area of San Diego a few years ago and there are still some trades I just can't find down here. Having used Craig in the past, I had no choice but to come up from SD to give Craig my acrylic framing job. There is no one in San Diego, or LA for that matter, that does what he does. His attention to details and the quality of his work make it worth the drive! I had 8 miniature bats my son/husband had collected while on a baseball stadium tour in 1996 that need to be mounted and enclosed in a case to preserve them. The job was gorgeous and he completed it in a week! In fact, he even threw in plaque, mounted on the bottom with the tour and the year for free. I cannot recommend this pro enough and his artistry is unparalleled in my experience. . read more

I just got some acrylic pieces made from thin to heavy duty thick to make some improvements to my boat. I'm so glad I was referred to Craig. He's a beautiful man with beautiful talent and a cool shop! Thanks Craig! read more

Plastic! Craig can make almost anything. All the positive reviews are real. Craig is down to earth and professional. Went to him with my 'idea' to replace my screen with plexiglass with a hole cut out for my portable a/c exhaust only to find out, Craig does them all the time. A pro by all means, creative and constructive. I recommend. Thank you Craig. read more

Craig is the best! I shopped around for a while for the best price, best service and ease of working with and Craig is the top at all three. I first went to Craig just to get a sheet of acrylic cut to size. Since then I have done numerous projects and tried to throw every curve ball and whacky idea I can imagine at him.....nothing phases him and he delivers beyond expectation every single time! His pricing is always fair and I never feel like I'm being screwed over on price! He's super down to earth, hilarious and does totally professional work! He's been at it like 30 years or something. Dude knows his stuff!! read more

As a refugee from the truly horrible Solter Plastics, the next closest Plastics shop, Craig's shop was truly a welcome haven. From the moment you walk into this clean and well lit space you are met with friendly and intelligent folk who are there to help you. I had a small item that needed the use of a drill press. Not only did Craig do an outstanding job, he didn't even charge me for it. Now that's the way to build customer support and loyalty. In this day of the large mega stores, like Home Depot, where if you died in their aisles your body wouldn't be found for weeks, small boutique shops like Craig's are gems to be supported. read more

Recently got custom vases and other pieces done for a wedding there. I love this place. They can pretty much custom make anything you think of in lucite mind you. Its a great stop for custom designers and such. THey also do framing. I have a scarf I want to get framed can't wait to get it in there. I luv this place for all my acrylic related custom projects. Craig is amazing and wont rip you off. Ive been to different acylic fabrication places and have been dissapointed with the service and bad attitude like at soltar why is that place even in business. read more

I needed to build a set of plastic safety shields for the perimeter of an open CNC mill table, for my school employer. Craig advised me on the material, some appropriate thicknesses, and how to attach the material to the table. I partially did the job myself, but I did not have the strength and leverage necessary to make the right-angle bends in the material, without heat. I called Craig and brought the sheets to him. He allowed me to watch his technique and he explained his water-cooled isolation heating apparatus to me. I had walked in with work that I could not do, and I walked out with the work done and new knowledge acquired. Craig's fee for the bending work was nominal, and that's great for my employer of course. I believe he ordinarily charges moderately by the hour. Craig is very personable and is constantly bringing new technologies and new creative avenues into the shop. My employer runs a high school robotics team and a maker-space; we will come back to Craig with other custom projects, especially considering that Craig now has a large laser cutter that can take pdf files. read more

Used Craig for clear acrylic to cover my ornate iron handrails and banisters on landings and stairwell so i could prevent my toddlers from climbing on them. This guy is the real deal! "Fantastic customer service and products... Craig is a plastic genius!" I couldn't agree more with these other reviewers! Craig is awesome and a true craftsman. We collaborated on a idea I have for a product and he was a real joy to work with. I needed to create several custom boxes that worked in a very specific way and Craig totally nailed it! He has great skills and a terrific attitude, a rare combination to find in a vendor. I'm pretty detail oriented and Craig was right there by my side the whole way through the process making everything as nice as it could be. So if you need custom plastic work that requires a keen eye and some mad skills... I'd definitely be sure to stop by Craig's office first. read more

Craig is Amazinggggg!!!!!!!! I never write reviews but I had to this time. The movers broke my custom made table made out of plexi glass. Craig put it back together in 2 days and it looks BRAND New (he even polished it for me). I honestly didn't think I would find someone one who could fix it. Not to mention it was also affordable. If you need anything fixed you should definitely call him first! He's amazing, and extremely nice as well! read more

There is little I can say great about Craig that hasn't already been said. He's not just a "box cutter" of plastics. He is an artist and visionary and he gets me. He understands what I want to say and do before I do. He's easy to work with. I like his personality and the years he has devoted to his craft. If you have a choice between Craig and another supplier. Don't waste time with the other and pick Craig at I LOVE LUCITE!!!!!! He is an expert in plastics and the execution of such. I have a portable A/C unit but no one supplies a window adapter that works with my old 16"x48" casement windows. I tried cutting acrylic/Lexan on my own but just couldn't make the oval cut for the exhaust duct without destroying every piece I touched. I found Craig's Plastics on Yelp and knew I found the right man when I read the reviews stating he makes these window adapters all the time. Sure enough, when I called Craig on a Friday afternoon, he said he was right in the middle of making one for someone else and to come on over. All of these 4-5 star reviews are spot-on. Craig was so friendly and helpful; completely customer oriented. He completed my window adapter in under an hour to save me from another hot, humid weekend. read more

Craig is awesome. I came in for the second time last week because I had broken a piece of the plastic sheeting I bought; not only did he hook me up with a new, THICKER sheet for the same price as the one I had broken, but he also advised me on how to handle the new piece so that I wouldn't run into the same mistake. I'm so glad that I got to bring my business to a one-man shop like his, and didn't cheap out and go to Michael's. Thank you, Craig!! I'll definitely be back. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Craig for the past month on an assortment of acrylic pieces for a sculptural art installment. He is experienced, knowledgeable and great to work with. He fabricated some unusual pieces for me and he did an excellent job interpreting my drawings. if he had any questions he'd call me, which I really appreciated. My pieces came out beautifully, were done on time and when I asked him to squeeze in a couple of additional things and I needed them quickly, he took care of it, no problem.
