I cant believe how bad a hair cut I got this time from Craig Cuts. I was probably in the chair 10 min. from start to finish. No care was taken at all just use the clippers and cut it off. NO blending, no care in how short it was. I am just totally appalled at how this young lady can do such a poor job. Quality haircuts for the price you pay. There are a few people that I always make appointments with and they give some of the best haircuts! I used to try other places like Supercuts or Great Clips and those places are absolutely awful. If that's your price range, Craigscuts is the only place to be. Craig's cuts has a young vibe with well trained hair cutters that understand what you want and will go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with every little detail. You get a scalp massage, hot towel, and a water. They usually clean off the hair really well but sometimes they leave a lot of hair on you. Disclaimer: Not the best haircut, but great for its cost. I just got out of my first Craig's Cuts haircut since they used to do $5 haircuts back in 2010. Pleasantly surprised. Hanna cut my hair, and she was first off very kind and patient with my nodding off a few times throughout the haircut. Secondly, she gave me a great fade for what I paid. You get what you pay for. These are women who come straight out of beauty school with very little experience working on men's hair. The ones I talked to weren't looking to work on men's hair, but this was the first job available to them out of beauty school so they took it. I would not recommend going to them for anything remotely complicated (a fade, for example). If you want a standard missionary cut, they can do that. But expect a 10 dollar haircut job. read more

Sloppy and quick haircut. Upon completion, I found clumps of uneven hair and many random hairs that were longer than the rest. The stylist was friendly and willing to fix the mistakes, but still did a super quick fix and missed other mistakes leaving my hair uneven and goofy looking. Also, they didn't offer to give the discount for failing to get me in less than fifteen minutes. And, I didn't get any sort of massage or shampoo for the price. Conclusion, I could cut my own hair with the same level of quality and save money in the process. The location on university is really clean and professional and they are usually not as busy as the one south of campus. My barber ruined my haircut and I had a job interview later that day. I went to Craig's Cuts because of the convenient location next to campus. I told the girl that I wanted my haircut to 1/4 inch all over. She did that, but then proceeded to destroy my modest sideburns. She gave me the mirror and I noticed that one sideburn was half an inch higher than the other one. And the shape was angled up, which could've been a simple misunderstanding (she should have asked and I should have said). So I explained the unevenness and the desired shape. I told her I wanted my sideburn straight. Her correction was the same thing, just higher. Surprised and a little frustrated. I explained that I wanted my sideburn flat. Same thing again. I'm disappointed and beginning to feel worried because I want to look good for my interview in an hour and a half. So I explain that I want my sideburn to be horizontal. Same thing again. I can't believe it. I feel so bad for both of us. Then I use my hands and show the V shape she keeps making and the flat shape I want. Same thing again. It isn't even a sideburn anymore and is higher than my ear. So I tell her to just shave it all. She offers to fix it by trying to blend everything higher. But it looks completely unnatural and ridiculous. I'm not going to an interview looking like that. So I just have her shave it all off. Then she shows me the mirror so I can inspect my shaved head. And there is a line of hair that she missed on the back. It is about a quarter inch wide and three inches tall. How can you not see that? Your view is much closer than mine through two mirrors. While looking at the large stationary mirror in front of me, I see a barber (or hair stylist, I can't remember) license, so she should know what she's doing. I can see a misunderstanding once, but not multiple times. I wondered if she forgot her glasses or didn't get any sleep the night before. She was nice, but needs some serious retraining. Please, for your own sake, get more training and pay much closer attention or you will probably find yourself looking for a new job. I'm just trying to be upfront and say it like it is so you make the improvements that will help you in your career. I didn't tip and should've asked for no charge but didn't think until later. There sure are a lot of negative reviews for this place... um 10.99 for a haircut? and 6.99 on wednesday? They cut it quick and do a pretty decent haircut, as long as you dont have some sort of crazy hairstyle... they do a perfect mormon cut. Considering the fact that almost everywhere else charges FAR higher than this, I think it is a pretty decent deal. And the girls are all really friendly. I suggest going to supercuts to those complainers out there... and get an equally good or bad haircut. THE VERDICT: This for sure isn't the best... but I'm a fan because they do a good job for the price you pay. And they do it in a timely manner and will do the things you ask them to do. Well, when I walked in through the front door to the Craig's Cuts in Springville, I learned that I was the only customer that had been there for a while (Red Flag). There were 2 employees on the clock--one was helping me to get my haircut, while the other girl was sleeping! SLEEPING at her station even though there was now a client (me) sitting across the walkway from her. Randomly, while I was getting my hair cut and older gentleman came in. The girl who was cutting my hair had to stop what she was doing to greet him and to bring him back to the sleeping girl who should've met him. Anyways, the girl cutting my hair had to try and wake up her sleeping coworker by telling her that she had a customer. She had to tell her TWICE before she finally got up. Oh, and I did not receive a neck/shoulder massage as my coupon claimed I'd receive. And I also didn't receive a complimentary soda, either. All I got was too-short bangs and got to see someone working on the job for the first time. SO...not professional at all. There is no reason you should be sleeping on the job--especially in plain sight of customers. No wonder their business was pretty dead. This place needs to go on Tabatha's Salon Takeover. read more

They used to be a lot cheaper. The haircut I got was fine. They offer a scalp massage with every haircut and a free bottled water. Not something I really care about but there you are. I hear Wednesday they are a lot cheaper. They offer a lot of other services but I couldn't speak about anything other than the good old fashioned man's haircut. read more

I have been to this location a few times before. I went to the location next to Zion's, and they quoted me at an hour. I came to the south campus location and they tried to work me in before the appointments that started in 10 minutes. Daniela was my hair stylist, and she was great! Not only did I leave with a haircut I was happy with, she communicated with me during the visit and made sure I got what I wanted. Only $8 on Wednesdays. I usually go to the Supercuts in Spanish Fork, which is closer to home, but their price has been going up and up. Saw the Craig's Cuts in Springville and thought I would give them a try. I was a little concerned after reading a couple of these reviews. But my experience was great. Waited about twenty minutes. Got a bottle of water, a hot towel, and a massage after. But most importantly I got a great haircut at a good price. Very satisfied. I honestly wonder of some of the bad reviews aren't from employees of the places that charge three times what these guys do. I have since taken two of my sons there and they also got great cuts. CRAIG'S CUTS-SPRINGVILLE We went in today to get my Son's hair cut. We tried to make an appointment online, but they were all shut off for the day. There were two men getting cuts and one in the lobby. The two men left, one more came in and they took the one from the lobby and the one that walked in back for cuts. Another man walked in and they told him it would be a 30-minute wait and they took his name. When I asked when we would be taken back, the stylist tells me that everyone was ahead of us. I explained to her that we had been there for over 30 minutes and had been there since the two previous men were in the chair. She then tells me that she never saw us and says, "well, what do you want me to do?" Being acknowledged when we walk in the door would be a great start and actually taking us in a timely manner after we get there would also be nice. She was so rude that we ended up leaving. We have been going to Craigs Cuts (American Fork) for years and they have always been friendly. I am very disappointed in the service (or non-service) at this location. Very nice haircut, exactly what I requested, which is rare for barbershops in Provo. They also trimmed my eyebrows and cut the hair out of my ears, which I appreciate. They also give free bottled water and provide a hot, damp face towel after the haircut. I went on a Wednesday, when haircuts are only $7.00. If you want a designer haircut, this is probably no the place to go, but if you want a good haircut at a reasonable price, this is the place! read more

Just like the other reviews say, extremely awful quality. I think that the moody haircutters that work the joint think think that since the haircut is SLIGHTLY cheaper than at other places, they can't take the time to give a decent haircut. The few times I've gone there, I've found stray long hairs sticking out of the side of my head, the back crooked, and everything else looking bad. Why did I go there in the first place? I live next door. I'll be going to a more decent place and dish out the extra cash. You get what you pay for. read more

I got turned away two days in a row when there was no customers in the shop cause the hairdressers wanted to turn in early.

I made an appointment and only had to wait 1-2 minutes once I got there. My Barber lady was super nice and did a great job. It was only about $11 and took around a half hour. Great place. read more

Extremely shoddy haircut. My son's haircut was choppy, and when I told the stylist it was not short enough, she simply stared at me blankly. She certainly didn't offer to fix it. What a joke. What's the point in making an appointment if these girls don't even try to keep it? I checked in 15 minutes before my appointment (which I set earlier by calling in). I walked out the door almost an hour later, hair still not cut. I understand that there are busy days, but don't tell me you will take me at a specific time and not honor that agreement.
