They always drilled way too deep, it hurt my skull and I was super numbed up. This place is the reason I hate the dentist now as an adult, fillings shouldn't hurt that much. My sister also had a cavity filling that resulted in a root canal from here, and my mom has two root canals after getting fillings from this place. Genetics is one thing, 5 root canals within a 3 year time frame directly after fillings is a pattern of malpractice. The staff is nice, but its not fun when you're crying from pain calling the dentist a week later. They will transfer you to the dentist within telling you they are off the clock and he says "Why are you calling me about this now on holiday?" Maybe don't have your employees forward customer phone calls if you aren't willing to take them seriously and make them feel inconvenienced for being in pain caused by this place.

I had the worst experience this afternoon at Family Dental, I pre called my health insurance…read morecarrier to see where I could take my son for his first cleaning. My insurance verified that Family Dental was in network and would he covered in full for his cleaning. When we arrived I filled out all the paperwork while the front desk receptionist called my insurance carrier to verify our coverage. The receptionist left her window at the desk open while talking about our personal information which is a violation of HIPPA while patients came in and out of the waiting room. The phone volume was loud in the quite office so my husband and I could hear the entire conversation perfectly. The receptionist laughed and told the insurance worker "Wow, I wouldn't want to have this insurance" at this point my husband and I could tell that this appointment wasn't going to happen. Something was off and it sounded like we'd have to pay the out of pocket deductible to be seen. The receptionist never called us up to her window or even got up to speak to us, but sat in her chair behind her counter/desk and asked if we were going to be paying out of pocket for the visit. The visit was the most unprofessional experience I have had. My personal information should not have been heard in the waiting area as it's against HIPPA, the front desk receptionist needs to be retrained on how to be professional in the work place and take into consideration that its frustrating for the patient to be turned away. Laughing about the patients high copay is disrespectful. I am aware my insurance is not great, I pay ALOT per month for shitty insurance, but I'm doing my best trying to figure out where to go and this experience was disappointing on multiple levels and was handled incorrectly. I do not suggest this practice.
