The repair on my car was absolutely perfect. Some people say nothing can be percent,this work was. The staff went above and beyond to keep me updated with live updates via text messages. Until recently, I was a loyal customer for decades, at the Burnaby Imperial location under good management. With the constant turnover of employees, I encountered an extremely inept assistant manager that a. lied to me b. gave me a quote that was twice as much as others c. delegated to others that also lied to me and would not guarantee me a return call d. had me coming back because he didn't know how to do his job. To say the least it was a nasty debilitating experience. In the future I will avoid these inept liars that over charge. read more

I would not bring another vehicle to Craftsman, they tend to BS you when it comes to issues related to your vehicle!

Took my car in to Craftsman because I thought a chain bodyshop would be more reliable. But I guess it isn't always the case. When I went in, I was told that a courtesy car would not be available which I was fine with since the work was supposed to finish within 3 days. But I kept getting updates that they received defective bearing parts for 3 consecutive times. I finally got my car after 2 weeks. When I took it on the road and tried to brake, it was making squeaking sound. Initially I thought my brake may have worn out. I took it to a Honda dealership - guess what, the bearing was defective. It took quite a bit of back and forth to get them to agree to replace the part. A few months after, my car was due for a regular maintenance so I took it back to the Honda dealership. I was notified that the ABS sensor cable was not plugged in on the side of where the bearing was replaced. Good thing that Honda caught it before the rain season started. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. The only upside was that the reception was very friendly and professional. read more

Have had to go to this location 3 times between myself and my husband in the last few years. Daniel, who used to be the manager at this location is fantastic!! I heard he was promoted to the White Rock location so now we will be going there instead, even though we live in Burnaby. I can't say enough about Daniel. Every time we needed anything done, he provided such great service and actually cared about making sure the job got done correctly. Not only does he call us back in a timely manner, and goes out of his way to order parts in quickly, but he will also offer alternative solutions to what your vehicle needs. This is very much appreciated! Dealing with car accidents is stressful enough as it is, but each time Daniel as made it so much easier for us which is why we will continue to seek services under his leadership. When I went to visit the 1st Avenue location myself, it was evident he was a fantastic manager as his staff were very polite, and made the whole process seamless. Highly recommended! read more

I tried to get an estimate here, after going to two other shops. First, I was told they were very busy and I would need an appointment. So I tried to do that which meant I would have to come back later. Then they changed their mind and asked if I minded waiting. I didn't mind. Then a fellow came out and we looked at my vehicle. We quickly went inside after a quick inspection, and I was told that he had done a vehicle like mine a little while ago, so the fender would right off be $4000 because there would be damage underneath. Well, underneath is a plastic element that costs all of $73. How do I know? I had gone to two other shops, both giving me estimates very close to one another. Both explaining that the plastic underneath could be damaged. The gentleman at Craftsman Collision talked about "reputable" shops (like his I imagine) and in general I was very put off by his patronizing me. Maybe he thinks women are too uneducated in the fine art of vehicle repair and service. If so, he is a lousy teacher. I left. There is no way I would believe that I needed to pay so much for a fender repair after talking at length with other shops. I just wanted to get out of that place. I did not trust what I was hearing. Women, beware! Maybe insurance covers inflated costs, but I won't. Don't ever believe one person; try other places and watch the yelp reviews. Some are right on the money, in every way. And if someone doesn't really look hard at the damage, or surmises damage that cannot be seen, get more appraisals. read more

Popped in and inquired about some bad scratches and overspray paint damage to my car. Since I was selling soon, I didn't want to drop a huge amount of coin to paint the whole side of the car. Terry at front desk asked Elaine the detailer to give it a try and in about 15 minutes she had improved the appearance hugely. I was very happy with the result and they refused payment. I went down to this location last week to see how cheaply we could remove some scratches without going through insurance. Another body shop had already estimated about $670 to repaint the panel. But Don was very nice about it and said the scratches would 90% buff out -- and that they would do it for free. He was right; though they are deep, only a few are left and are almost invisible now unless you know where to look. That really beats paying money for something so small! This is my 2nd time going to this Craftsman Collision and I'm quite happy with their work. They've managed to complete my work in a timely manner and do a good quality. They add a personal touch by leaving a note in my car thanking me for my business and letting me know who worked on my car. They always provide a loaner car while mine is getting fixed. This place is so awesome. They were so helpful - I got into a collision (not my fault) and was referred to them by a friend. I called, made an appointment, and they had me in within the week. They helped me figure out the entire thing with ICBC without any hassle. My car came back even more beautifully than before the accident! They even polished off a mark on my car that I had prior to the visit which had nothing to do with the work they needed to do. They also helped me do a couple little tweaks to my car to make it better...all without additional costs! The loaner vehicle was really nice and also very convenient - they have their own so no need to coordinate with rental companies. Friendly service, very communicative (always kept me in the loop), and cleaned my car when they were done! Vacuumed, polished...smelled brand new...I think they even pumped up my tires! Haha. :P I seriously dropped of the car and picked it up. Usually I would feel overwhelmed about having to get my car estimated and fixed...and nervous I'd have to pay something out of pocket even though it wasn't my fault. This place made it completely hassle-free...and did I mention Air Miles? :) I love these guys and would definitely recommend them! read more

I was rear ended and needed the bumper cover replaced and went to Craftsman Collision at Boundary and First Avenue in Burnaby. It took over a week to get in to do the estimate and when I arrived they told me ICBC had decided I needed to go in to a claim centre so they could see the damage as I already had another claim on the car for damage in that area. I asked Craftsman why they couldn't have called me to tell me that before I took time off work and drove ¾ of an hour to see them. They had no answer. It took me another 2 weeks to get into ICBC and I had to drive 1/2 an hour to get into a claim centre - or wait even longer. ICBC approved the repair and it took me another 1 1/2 weeks to get in to Crafdtsman for the repair as they were having trouble getting a new bumper cover. I'm now over a month from when the accident happened. After Craftsman had the car for a day, they left me a voice message saying they would be repairing the damaged bumper cover. I thought the cover was so damaged it probably would have cost them more to fix it than to find a new one, but what do I know. When I picked my car up the next day, they had it backed against the hedge where I couldn't stand behind the car to look at the repair. It was pouring rain, so I took the car and went home. Next morning, I stood behind the car and could see the very obvious repairs. I went back to Craftsman and showed the man who had given me my repaired car what I was seeing. He denied there was anything wrong and said if I had a complaint, I'd have to go through ICBC. I did that. I had to go in and they took one look and called Craftsman and told them they'd have to re-do the repair. It took a month for Craftsman to find a new bumper cover and get me in for the repair. They never apologized for the trouble and cost in gas and time they caused me. I will never go back. They lost a good customer. I had Craftsman replace my front bumper cowl a few years ago. When I picked it up, I noticed that the gaps between the cover and the rest of the car were smaller on one side that the other. The explanation I was given was that it was because the clips get worn and there's nothing they can do about it. After my last experience, I do not believe that. So my friends, don't trust them. Don't go to Craftsman. read more

Great, friendly service. Had to use their vehicle while mine was bring painted. Their courtesy car was newer, immaculate and clean (thank god!). Got my car back and not only was the work done well, there was a goodie bag on the passenger seat filled with little Craftsman goodies and the car was cleaned better then I could ever do myself!!
