I visited late in the morning and found myself the only customer, but the experience was excellent. Although the barista was gone for the day, the bartender crafted a well-made cappuccino and provided great service. The food was delicious, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect refuge from the rain. Highly recommend for a calm, comforting breakfast. A favorite find on my trip to Portland.

Avocado toast with egg and turkey sausage

I had to come on and leave an honest review because the good reviews lead me to what was one of the worst breakfast meals I've had the displeasure of eating. I came for breakfast on Nov 19 and had the avocado toast with a fried egg and turkey sausage. For one, the turkey sausage was so bad I couldn't even finish it. I literally spit it back up and put it back on the plate. I asked the waitress to take it off my bill because I didn't want to pay for something I didn't eat. The avocado toast came with a side of greens that were already turning brown on the edges and were so wilted without the dressing, the dressing just made it a soggy mess. What saved the avocado toast was the fried egg that I requested to have added on. I'm not sure if their usual chef was off. But whoever made that meal needs a talk. There is no reason to do that to a customer's tastebuds. I was visiting Portland and this was my first meal in the city. But I refuse to allow it to define Portland for me. The waitress was really sweet but damn that food was tragic. At least I took a cute pic.

Love this place! the brunch was really good. I had the avocado toast and my wife had the breakfast burrito! Both were tasty. This is a saved place for our return to Oregon

So this was my first time here. Just finished them shamrock run and was in dire need of a beer since the beer garden ran out of everything except for Michelob ultra light. Searched in the area and found this place. It was around noon when we got there on a Sunday. They were serving a brunch menu. My mom got the eggs Benedict and I got the burger. My burger was not cheap it came with fry's or a salad I stuck with the salad. It was great. Fresh and simple and tasty. The burger was really good. Juicy good sauce loved the onions and the bun was great as well. I would come back again if in the area. The only drawback for me is the price. Go check them out

We were staying in this hotel, and ended up lazier than we expected to go out and get breakfast. So, we ordered breakfast from here and took it back to the room to eat. I got The Craft Omelette and my bf got the Hi-Lo Breakfast. We both enjoyed our breakfast and it filled us up.

A small group of us wandered in here on a whim while looking for a spot to have a late lunch in Portland. It was around 3pm when we arrived, and the menu had already switched over to dinner (lunch was no longer being served). A bit weird, since their website states their lunch hours as Monday to Friday: 11:00am - 4:00pm & Saturday & Sunday: 11:30am - 4:00pm. :-/ Anyway, we all decided to stay and order. I ended up ordering the "WARM GOAT CHEESE SALAD"... which was described on the menu as "Spinach, strawberries, candied pecans, blueberry vinaigrette". Two others ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the final person of our group ordered the spicy chicken wings. While the food was generally fine (nothing special, but fine), my simple goat cheese salad was $14 for what was basically a bunch of spinach leaves thrown into a large bowl, with maybe 4 or 5 pecans thrown in, an oddly thick vinaigrette, and a breaded ball of goat cheese. The tomato soups with grilled cheese were $16 a piece too, and the spicy chicken wings were $16. (Holy markup, Batman.) It all also came out of the kitchen within just a couple minutes... like, suspiciously quickly. (To the point where it makes me wonder if someone was back there just microwaving things.) The ambience of the restaurant itself is nice, and the service is fine... neither being remarkable or otherwise noteworthy... but fine. A couple of us at the table were a wee bit put off when we'd ask for something to drink or order and the server would say "how about..." to suggest something else because they didn't offer a particular item. It happened multiple times... 2 of the 4 people just gave up on ordering drinks and stayed with water instead. TL;DR It's... fine? Just okay? It was basically a convenient find at the time, but not a place I'd go back to when visiting Portland again. Since it's a restaurant for a hotel anyway, it seems convenience is probably the biggest factor for those eating here.

Came here for my friends birthday dinner and was not disappointed! We both had the salmon and it was so good, although a little pricey for the small portion size. We also ordered this blackberry champagne drink and it was so good!! This place is located in a hotel and it is honestly very small, I think we got lucky that it wasn't crazy busy. The lighting and decorations were very cute though! The service was just okay. Our waiter was nice, but definitely seemed tired. I think he was the only person working the entire restaurant and bar (that's how small this place is!) so I don't blame him at all. Overall, this was a cute little spot. I wish they had more on the menu, but I wasn't upset with the options!

    Egg sandwich $12
    Allyson L.

Egg sandwich was good but kind of plain for $12. You'd have to pay a bit more for more toppings. The worker poured me coffee even though I said no and then charged me for it. Oh well. I wouldn't go back here. I'm sure there are better breakfast places around anyways.

I wanted to move, but hubby won't! No matter how much I begged, he ain't movin'. Then, I said: 'the music here is too loud.' His answer? 'There's always something!' So I stayed. I checked out the Patio. It might work, for the group. At least, there's one of us, who love alcohol. That may give them a reason to come. (She's driving the rest of the group). Since we are heading to an event, not far from here, we didn't have much time to take leftovers home, we didn't have a cooler, it's almost 80 degrees out, so we decided to eat something we could share. We picked the BBQ COHO Salmon Sandwich. Seared Coho salmon glazed with Bourbon BBQ sauce topped with baby Aragula and pickled red onions on a Portland French toasted potato bun. We came here because I heard they have a great seafood menu and my kids recently started enjoying oysters and other shellfish that used to be "gross". We got here about 15 minutes to opening on a Friday night and there was already a line. We were fortunate to still get a spot outside which worked out because it wasn't too hot and the outdoor space is much more spread out than inside. We ordered a dozen oysters to start. Love their various droppers with infused mignottes and hot sauces. Really made it fun to try out different combos. We also got the cold smoked mussels, the hamachi crudo, grilled oysters, lobster roll, rockfish, and the little gem salad. In order of least favorite to favorite, the little gem salad was good but just not that memorable or spetqcular the way the other dishes were. Next, the grilled oysters were flavorful with the garlic and lime but I wished there was a little more kimchi flavor and overall more sauce given the size of the oysters (they were huge!). The lobster roll was good and I appreciated the different take on a lobster roll but my favorite lobster rolls that really accentuate the lobster flavor and this masked it a little. The hamachi crudo was a surprise. It's a dish you see a lot and I was a little worried about how the pineapple might overtake the rest of the flavors but that didn't happen. The balance between sweet, savory, sour, and crunch from the peanuts was perfect and every bite was really enjoyable. Finally, my favorite was the cold smoked mussels. You never know how fish sauce and tom kha might overwhelm everything but again, their chef understands flavor balance really well. You could taste all the flavors, the smokiness, the slight bitter and sour umami flavors and slight sweetness to round it out. It was outstanding and highly recommend. They also have great cocktails that go well with their dishes. Really enjoyed the experience here and will definitely come back.

As they're called Canard, there are multiple duck related options on the menu. - Steak tartare: with fried crisps and an interesting bone mayo in the center. It comes with pho accompaniments like lime, spouts, mint, cilantro - Market green salad: with fried quinoa, a pretty big portion - Garlic fries - Steam burgers: 6 for $30: like White Castle meets a McDonald's cheeseburger - Mac n cheese: we got the kids' version, which doesn't have fried onions - Steamed broccoli: the cleanest thing our kids have eaten all week Service was friendly, and food came out pretty quickly. It was a solid lunch and a good excuse to see Beaverton.
