    Bistro burger and cocktail

Went to Bottle + Kitchen for dinner and ordered the Bistro Burger and a cocktail. The service was excellent The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice.

Located in the Hotel Rose. We came for late night drinks. It doesn't open too late, so make sure you look at the hours. We were told they were open in the morning for breakfast but whenever we went down they were closed. So not really sure. The cocktails are pretty well made. We've gotten variety from just wine, beer to old fashion, whiskey sour and some speciality cocktails like the naked experience. Definitely short staff though! Usually just one taking a lot of orders. Slow at times. Sometimes another would help, but definitely short staff.

Happy hour service: terrible. We sat at our table and was confused if we were supposed to order at the bar or at the table since there was no serve in sight or talked to us for a bit. He finally put menus down when we were at the bar. The guy saw our coasters and without even saying hi, immediately rattled off the limitations of the orders. I asked if mocktails were included, and was just given a shrug and "sure." Maybe a pet peeve of mine, but I really don't like those answers. My boyfriend asked what his favorite beer was out of the rotating drafts and was given the answer, "I don't know, I don't drink." You're a bartender! I understand if folks don't drink, but that's not a good answer. You could answer, "I don't drink but I know x and y are popular" or something along those lines. Then asked my boyfriend, "I'm gonna need to see some ID, bud." And it wasn't in a teasing or joking tone. Pretty rude, honestly. We definitely didn't order food. Morning service: two younger server managing the coffee stand was so much better. They were nice and attentive. They heard us talking about the market and they give us some suggestions and we chatted about Seattle and Portland.

Several of us stopped in for drinks and dinner one weeknight and the place was pretty much dead, but they had a full staff and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The venue is decorated very nicely, very clean restrooms and they are unique with their menu offerings. It's basically pub food with a couple of entrées tossed in the mix. Their wings are grilled and are VERY tasty! The spicy style use some sort of home made or unique sauce, but the wings are also spiced prior to cooking and the combo of flavors really comes together nicely! Their spicy chicken sandwich was excellent! Very tender and hand-breaded, freshly made... definitely an incredibly good sandwich! Overall, definitely suggest stopping in here! It's in an interestingly dated hotel, but don't judge it based on the looks from the outside, stop in and try them out... there's a reason the reviews are so good here!!

The yelp community said yes, my feeling was "eh". The service was very nice and friendly. The ambiance was okay- nothing really to look at and several homeless just makes you feel sad. The grilled wings were really good and loved the blue cheese and buffalo style sauce. Enjoyed the beer but not a lot of great options. Fine for a pass by but I would not return- just not special or unique enough if my opinion. Moved on to the Library by PSU. to give that a try!

Great place, but you can't be in a hurry. I think yhey were shoet staffed. The place is nicely decorated with lots of seating & a large bar. The service people were friendly. I had the Chorizo Omelet, it was delicious & I'm glad they used red potatoes!

The Bistro Burger was a great burger, when you can get messy with your burger you know it's tasty. We ended up venturing about 45 minutes before closing but everyone was still welcoming and we did not feel rushed to order and eat. It's a very clean and easy place to have a late drink especially if you're staying at Hotel Rose/ Stay Pineapple.

I was a little disappointed by the dinner menu. There was not a lot of variety and everything was overpriced. I was hoping for a fresh burger patty since it cost $19, but it tasted frozen. Service was ok

Conveniently located in our hotel lobby is Bottle +Kitchen. With two teens in tow, they were not down for morning brekkie adventure through Portland. We arrived early, which got us a great window seat with the view of the waterfront. We ordered: salmon Benedict on a poutine cake & buttermilk pancakes. The salmon Benedict was delicious and the poutine cake added a spin to this classic dish. My son loved his pancakes, especially since the server was nice enough to bring him chocolate syrup instead of maple syrup. Delicious breakfast with great service! I'll be back for happy hour and drinks later!

I really enjoy this place. They have a lot of different alcohol at the bar and the drinks I've had here were great. I do love the food as well. Went here for Valentine's Day and they only had 1 bartender and 1 server. The food took longer than it normally would but I still enjoyed the holiday.

Ask for Rich. He is awesome. He took care of us and made us excellent cocktails. Food was great. Try the pineapple wings. Very tasty. The vibe in the restaurant is very comfortable and relaxed. We sat by the fire pit inside and it was a perfect evening with food and drinks. Thank you Rich & thank you everyone from Bottle & Kitchen. Til next time!

When a friend invited my sister and I to go, I whipped out my trusty yelp app and checked out ratings and menu. The menu looked fine-mostly traditional American style, featuring their turkey dinner and Spanish coffee. I wasn't that keen on turkey in August, but our friend ordered it and was pleased. My sister and I have pretty much the same taste and usually like the same things on the menu! We decided to split 2 entrees-the chicken special of the day and beef stroganoff. The first thing Summer, our server brought out was their beer bread. We wish we had the recipe. I loved it so much I'd like to make it at home. Then we got our entrees. The kitchen kindly split our orders so we each got 2 plates! It was a LOT of food! And we loved both! We couldn't decide which one we liked better! I can't remember what the chicken special was called but it had cherry tomatoes lightly sautéed in it and a flavorful sauce. Our friend wanted chocolate mousse for dessert , and we couldn't just sit there and watch her eat it so we ordered our own (no sharing this time!). It's dark and very rich. She also wanted to try Spanish coffee. They put on quite a show. They pour triple sec in the bottom, set it on fire and it melts the sugar they put on the rim. In goes rum & kaluah, and finally a little coffee and some whipped cream on top. We all tried it and WOW! It's potent! If that's your thing you need to get it! Three sips was more than enough for me. Summer was an outstanding server. She talked to us like we were old friends, made suggestions and was just lovely in every way. Go to Huber's! It's really fun, delicious and the roomtakes you back to yesteryear.

Those two boxes were checked but the rest of the 2 and a half hour visit was abysmal to say the least. I made a reservation a week before, knowing this place offers the best views in Portland, & hoping to solidify a great spot with our meal - no. The hostess said our best bet would be to sit in the lounge, we accepted & did as such. It was a decent amount of time until we received water - our ordered beverages came significantly later. We didn't order our main dish until 10 minutes before closing. When we ordered an over $100 bottle of wine we were met with an eye roll and sigh of frustration because our waiter was overworked & didn't have time to care about what we, as paying customers, wanted. I want to be clear that I do not fault our waiter for his reaction because he was visibly overwhelmed throughout the entirety of our visit. I am significantly disappointed in the customer service - as horrendous and incredibly long even the smallest requests took. If I make a reservation for 7:30 and leave the restaurant at 10 - after having reminded the staff several times of what we wanted or needed that is indicative of the establishment and management not the individuals. The food prices are not reflective of the overall service and experience. To be frank, if you (as an establishment) do not have the bandwidth to cater to your customers needs, then the prices should coincide with the experience, or hire more staff to fill the gaps that exist. I am genuinely saddened that my mom and I, who both love a great restaurant experience, left dissatisfied and disappointed in her celebratory dinner. The food was great. But not great enough to overcompensate for the overall nature of the experience.

The three sisters salad had such a good flavor balance, with the squash giving a perfect hint of sweetness against the other ingredients. Fry bread was good but the toppings were lacking something, very little protein, a bit basic. Offered was a bottle of tapatío, was expecting more of a house made salsa or garnish, maybe I've become boujie. The taco took almost an hour to arrive to my table. Not sure if the waitress forgot about us or staff attending larger parties but it was a bit of a wait given that it was not busy, only had one waitress working. Table behind us got there orders within 15 minutes of ordering, so kind of perplexed about the wait. Luckily, the neighbor across the street was cutting his very dry grass so that was entertaining. The bannock cinnamon roll cup saved this visit, arrived in between eating my taco . It was delicious but needed a knife to tear it apart, had a lot of give.
