Very reasonable prices for a variety of fare. Our group enjoyed lunches here two days in a row during a visit to London/O2 for a conference. The food was good. I highly recommend the pizzas. My shakshuka breakfast was also very good. The drinks are good too, but seemed a bit on the small side. Seating is available inside and out. Staff are friendly, and generally patient during large queues. I would highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

Lovely little cafe. A bit on the hipster side (but what isn't these days?) They make a great cup of coffee. Not sure whether they made it a little cool or whether they understand that if you get the milk too hot you can scorch the coffee but it tasted gooood. The missus had a hot chocolate which was rich and nicely bitter. We didn't have any food but they do have a pizza oven in the main cafe area and I saw a couple of ladies having some delicious looking and tasting salads. I'll be eating here on the next visit methinks. Update - recently found out (how could I be so stupid!) that there's actually a brasserie upstairs here. Going to have to try it soon! read more

The reason I'm not giving this 5/5 is because I don't think the ambiance lives up to the food. So don't judge the food by the location (like I initially did!) The food is simply exquisite. We decided to splash out on the longer tasting menu and did the wine pairings and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and all of the staff knew the food and wine extremely well. We started with 'snacks'- homemade crackers, salted yogurt, pickled vegetables, duck ham. This was accompanied with mead - lovely flavours. From there we moved through a beef tartare, a mind-blowing cheese custard dish, a prawn and shaved fennel salad (this was probably the least favourite), and steak with green vegetables. The first dessert was an intense chocolate tart accompanied with burnt milk ice cream and the walnut tincture that went with it - sticky in appearance but surprisingly refreshing - is a must try. The second dessert - strawberries and raspberries with roasted pumpkin seeds was sublime and the perfect way to end the evening. Doing the longer tasting didn't leave much room to try the coffee or cocktails - both of which looked great. So I think a second trip is in the future. read more

Craft, Greenwich - Craft made an impression on some of us either by recommendation or, more recently, having watched Masterchef UK 2016. For whatever reason it was, when they launched Test Kitchen Tuesday, we thought it might be the best time to try. Test Kitchen Tuesday is a promotion that runs on every Tuesday from now until the end of the year which consist of a five course meal for £28.00. Bookings available only after 20:00 hours. We were first elevated to the bar for drinks. The circular space of the bar with big window panes meant we had a 360 degree view ranging from the O2 building to the Emirates skyline to construction work on high story buildings to undeveloped grass land. Alright, maybe it was not such a wow scene when you consider the building works going on but it was still a moment to soak in this part of London. The next question I had to ask myself was, where am I to sit? The outdoor terrace appealed but it was too windy. I would be rather contented being in the bar all night long. Cocktails from £8.00. Yeah, might just forget about the restaurant. No, I reminded myself that I was not going to miss their fantastic offer and the experimental dishes of their Test Kitchen Tuesday. So, we descended via the elevator and its doors opened onto the open kitchen. Like the bar, the restaurant space is circular and with window panes. Therefore the lighting and ambience was also depended on the external environment. In the evening, the lighting is low and intimate. Seats in the inner circle are designed for larger groups. The table tops were laid with stylish stone floor tiles and fixed to the floor, partly surrounded high velvet cushioned chairs which gave a degree of privacy. Tables nearer to the window panes were more normal. On the menu, each dish was described only by its ingredients. I love a menu like this. We were quizzing each other on certain ingredients and guessing how it would be cooked - couldn't be more appropriate for a foodie evening, right? Service was fabulous. They were all very professional and attentive with minimal intrusion. Overall, I see that Craft has a team of chefs with sound knowledge in the cooking skills and collectively they have an interesting palate. This isn't just about fanciful edible flowers (flowers in dessert is ok!) and elaborated garnishes. Being served multiple courses at £28.00 was an absolute bargain. It was a dazzling evening. I am glad that I tried Craft with the Test Kitchen Tuesday offer and would not mind paying a visit to the drinks bar on the occasional visit to Greenwich. As for the restaurant, probably not just yet. read more

The O2 is big. I have been to a few concerts here and there is no shortage of bars and restaurants in the building for pre-concert dining. Most of the chains have well and truly set up home here from Nandos to Cafe Rouge, from Byron to Zizzi. Step outside the venue and you stumble upon something independent, Craft London. When you first walk into the space, it seems out of place amongst the other run of the mill spots. It' sexy and glam interior makes it feels more like it should be in Mayfair, the city or Soho. It is stylish. The fact that it is a collaboration with Tom Dixon tells you everything you need to know as he is an OBE self-taught British designer, known for his distinctive desire to design for "longevity and to be anti-fashion". If you are not phased by design or influenced by interiors, then there is the food to keep you interested. We visited the restaurant for dinner and opted for the tasting menu. There are two prices here, £35 (4 courses) or £55 (7 courses). We opted for the shorter of the two and settled down to a medley of tongue tantalisers. I am not kidding when I say we were excited. I am not one for flash restaurants, as it can be quite intimidating, but you have high expectations. Here, we felt relaxed, and whilst the service was quite formal, we were not made to feel out of place. They kindly brought some "amuse de bouche", which is essentially some canapes to tide us over until the first course. Our first course was stichelton (a raw milk British blue cheese) and montgomery custard, kale, leek and morels (my FAVE mushroom). This was gorg! Second course was octopus, baby fennel (normally not keen), with horseradish. The octopus was not too chewy and the flavours perfectly complimented them. Third up was Pork Belly (which appeared to be glazed with soy or suchlike), land cress, kale and beetroot. OMG, the pork was so delicately cooked, but I love the way skin was crisp and browned off. The fat melted in your mouth. Last, was the zesty lemon pudding. The bar in this place is very inviting and I would suspect that late evening, there is a good vibe here with cocktail drinkers. As we were so early (had to be in the venue by 7pm), we were one of the first to arrive. I will say, I was chuffed to see Langley's No 8 Gin behind the bar. Me and my bestie dining pal, Sam (yes there are two of us), have a special place in our heart for this superior gin, so of course we had to have a gin and tonic with din dins. read more

I was at the O2 for an event and, whenever possible, I try to avoid the big coffee chains - so I went for a coffee at this place. Conveniently located, a bit far from the crowds, the atmosphere was tranquil and not too noisy. Prices were acceptable and the decor trendy without verging on the too hipsterish. Nice cups and plates (yes, that is important), the right size to appreciate your hot beverage instead of the buckets you often get in some places. Unfortunately the coffee was a miss for me. My flat white was waaay too bitter. I understand this is a London trend (and maybe a preference of mine), but I really do not equal good, strong coffee with bitterness. Sorry. Maybe you'd like if that's your thing? You don't usually get bitter coffee in Italy and I won't argue with them in this matter. On the plus side: the blondie I ordered to go with it was DELICIOUS. I'd go back for that, but maybe this time order tea or a nice glass of milk. read more

I feel as though I'm still not completely sold on this place. I had read a stellar review in Caffeine magazine, which was the reason for my visit but I was honestly quite disappointed. Maybe it was due to the photos of the cafe giving an generous view of the place, but it's actually quite small and you have to fight off parents and their kids to get a seat. The coffee - which is my biggest love - was alright, but the cappuccino I ordered was far too milky and did a disservice to the review I'd read of the place. Would have been better served in a smaller cup rather than the huge mug it arrived at the table in. The breakfast options are modest, toast, pastries - though more sugar heavy than a savory croissant you'd normally get elsewhere. They do do pizzas and sandwiches, and to give the place credit, these did look/sound lovely but this isn't somewhere I'd consider going to for lunch at all. Upstairs there's a proper restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed when we were there so I can't really comment on that one! read more

Okay, so I'm spoiled in the East End for craft pretty-much-everything, but I've been in mostly abandoned railway arches that have more character than this place. For real. Craft has about as much atmosphere as the Moon. I can only guess from other reviews that the food is great, or the coffee is alright, but honestly? I won't be going back to find out. The whole edifice feels like it's just been popped out of the shrink wrap. read more

I went to Craft for a drink to kill some time before the Barclays Tennis Event at the O2. I was pleasantly surprised, as I was in search of any regular bar, and Craft is not any regular bar. It is modern, very chic and has views of the area with a lovely wait staff and fun, inventive cocktails. Try the SE10 - with gin, sparkling wine and a strawberry liquor. I was also in search of an outlet to charge my phone and while they didn't have one visible, one of the bartenders graciously offered to charge mine behind the bar, which was incredibly helpful, as I was about to use it to take pictures of the matches. It's a lovely place - I will definitely come back! read more
