The establishment has a nice mixture of cozy and airy, which was perfect for a lazy(ish) Sunday. I hate to use this word, but I'll use it anyway (because I can't think of a better descriptor): the service here is "super" friendly, and very knowledgeable, particularly regarding the ales on tap. The barkeep gave us a few sample pours without waiting for us to ask, which we greatly appreciated. Because of that, we were more than happy with the pints we ordered. Moving on to the food: the roasts were delicious, in particular the pork loin, which was moist and flavorful. I enjoyed my roast beef as well. The Yorkshire pudding was wonderful and I might have been just as happy eating that alone for my meal, to be honest. The pub is in walking distance of the touristy areas of Greenwich, so it's easy enough to put some good food in your belly and continue on to your sightseeing, afterward.

A Welcome, Delicious Surprise…read more After a long and arduous journey by train from Brussels to Central London and from there to Greenwich, my wife and I were irritated, exhausted, and starved. We quickly browsed the area's listing for local places to eat and stumbled upon The Prince of Greenwich. At first glance, Prince is an unsuspecting bar with loads of antiques. It appears to be the sort of place you could get a drink and some chips. Surprisingly, Prince is actually an English pub that specializes in Italian food of all things. This concept intrigued us, so we knew we had to check it out. The charming climate of the restaurant is relaxed and homey. It's not just the antiques that make you feel at home. The waitress was helpful and gave stellar reviews of the food. After placing our orders, we enjoyed gossiping about the plethora of antiques littered around us. We ended up really enjoying the food. The cheesy bread with mayo was so strange, but in the best way possible! A simple dish, we were surprised with just how well the mayo fit with the cheesy bread. This was not your typical mayonnaise. Both pasta dishes were delicious. We had just been to Italy 2 weeks before, and this took us right back to the start of our honeymoon. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone out in Greenwich looking to cool down, relax, and unwind. You'll enjoy delicious food and odd trinkets decorating the walls. Just don't skimp on the mayo cheesy bread!

I came…read morehere after seeing so many great reviews on both Google and Yelp, but was beyond disappointed. Let me take you on this unfortunate journey starting with the food... and I tried a bunch of the items from the set dinner menu (unfortunately)... Crispy Calamari - This was actually not too bad, as they got some decent crispiness on the outside, although there was not much flavor beyond that and it was still grocery store quality. Chicken and Sesame Dumplings - This on the other hand was below grocery store quality. I've literally had better frozen dumplings than this. They were just kinda mushy without much quality stuff inside and the sauce on the side was some weird overly sweet BBQ sauce that totally did not pair with the dumplings at all. Chargrilled Minute Steak - Minute steak? More like half an hour steak considering how tough it was!! Cutting through this thing was an arm workout and attempting to bite through it made my jaw sore. And despite the glob of butter on it, there was zero seasoning or flavor to the steak at all. I feel bad for the poor cow that had to be sacrificed for this! Fish Goujons and Fries - This half empty plate of 4 smallish pieces of fried fish fell victim to the same issues as the calamari. Flavorless and bland, just like the fries that came with it. Black Cherry Chocolate Mousse - After enduring the prior dishes, I felt I had to do myself a favor and treat myself to a dessert. Surely, there was no way they could make a chocolate mousse taste bad right?? Wrong!!! They really defied the odds here by somehow making this mousse so bad that I literally could not eat it - and that is coming from a super non-picky eater who is normally a big fan of chocolate mousse. For some strange reason, they thought it would be a good idea to add salt (yes, salt) to the mousse, and not just a pinch... this thing was saltier than a mouthful of ocean water! They really should've put some of that salt on the steak instead... And to make matters even worse (which I didn't think could be possible), the whole bottom half was filled with some gross cherry sauce that tasted so artificial and like it came straight from a cheap store-bought bottle. We lost 24.50 GBP and 17.50 GBP for these 3-course and 2-course set menus, respectively. Now on to the service... which was no better than the food... From the start, we knew it would be rough when we had to ask our waiter multiple times just to bring us some water. All the while, he was just happily chatting with all the tables around us. When it came to bringing the actual dishes, the service speed was also super slow. At one point, he assured us that the next dish was "on the way", but that was clearly an empty promise based on how long we ended up waiting. When bringing the dessert, he just put down two spoons right on the dirty table. And speaking of dirty items, the water glasses looked quite dirty and I almost wanted to rinse them before drinking from them. As a side note, the ketchup that they brought us (which we had to ask for), seemed very old and liquidy... and it exploded on me after just a bit of a shake beforehand. The interior of the restaurant is the one thing that isn't too bad, as there is actually some decently nice decor and an okay environment. But that does not come close to making up for the rest of the experience... I am honestly shocked at how bad Bill's was. From subpar service to straight up inedible food, it is definitely a place that you should avoid. Trust me.

So, this was quite an adventure! I had organised a dinner…read moreand a movie Valentines day date with 18 friends to see Deadpool. As this year V-Day happened to fall on a Sunday, I was struggling to bookna large table, despite starting to call around a full month before the event. I called almost every restaurant in the O2 and received a shower of nopes. Finally, the man I talked to on the phone at the Harvester said it wouldn't be a problem, so I booked the table for 6pm. The Wednesday before our planned outing I called them again to confirm the table. The man I spoke to seemed rushed, but he confirmed my booking, so I figured all was good to go. However, when I arrived on Sunday, a little early to get organised before everyone showed up, they had no record of a large booking. The restaurant was incredibly busy and there was a long queue outside... Great! I spoke to the manager and she looked through their booking system to see if it was put on the wrong day, but couldn't find anything either. She took down the details of when I made my calls so she could inquire with her staff and asked us to wait a little so she could make enough room for our large group. Despite it being one of their busiest day, she made it happen! Within fifteen minutes we had a large table for those of us who had shown up early, ten minutes after that we had further tables nearby to accommodate the rest of our group. I was very impressed with how well the manager handled the situation, so extra stars for that! The food was unremarkable but enjoyable, regular pub-style fare. Unfortunately they were out of a few items, but seeing as it was Sunday evening on a super busy weekend, I can't fault them for that. All in all we were quite content with our meal here.

Do not come here if you are vegetarian…read more Went here for a Christmas meal with friends and ordered the vegetarian option of batterered halloumi. When it arrived it looked suspiciously similar to the cod batter so I asked if it was cooked in the same fryer (being allergic to fish I didn't want to take the risk), and found out from a very annoyed manager that all the chips and fried foods EVEN VEGETARIAN are cooked with the fish! The disgruntled manager took back the food and had the chef cook everything in the "gluten free" fryer which apparently didn't have fish in it. After leaving the restaurant pissed at the way I was treated, I was also sick because clearly this magical gluten free fryer isn't so fish free after all. This is therefor making the "vegetarian" options invalid and almost causing people with fish allergies to have a reaction. Apparently all the harvesters are the same according to the manager, so they lie to their customers about the food (is that legal?!), and they definitely aren't happy when you call them out on it.
