Really glad to have found this place! Came here for an event and they were very accommodating. Food was great- they serve absolutely massive sandwiches that are really tasty too. Lots of really cool options as well that you won't find at other restaurants!

The Barry and the Ari sandwiches, plus the house specialty hash and coleslaw. SO GOOD!

Heck yeah!! GO HERE. Where has this been. Finally business owners raising the bar coming to the area. OAK for dinner, Craft-Eats for breakfast and lunch. The owner must be a fantastic cook and foodie. The location is kind of odd, and jammed into a weird area. It unassuming, but do not let that fool you. Also, don't come here expecting highly processed, cheap lunch meat. This is whole foods, real meat and fresh from the farm ingredients. We ordered the Ari and the Barry, and split them. The roasted beef was fresh, actual roasted high grade beef directly from Nell's Butcher. The turkey was fresh roasted, perfectly seasoned by itself and crumbled and melted in your mouth. The sandwich combo with blueberry jam was fantastic. We also tried their specialty hash and it was amazing. The corned beef was caramelized, richly flavored and crumbled apart. Beautiful!!! All the ingredients are locally sourced, including fresh baked breads and amish ice cream. I implore everyone to patronize this business, we must support people raising the bar. Hanover and the surrounding region have been plagued with low tier food, lazy owners and Sysco crap food over and over again.

I do have to say that this place, and those that run and own it, are truly something special. My GF and I agreed that these were some of the best Sammies we've ever had. I tried the Kardiac Keith and she had the Reuben. Both were exceptional. We left with cookies, soup and pie, WHICH HAS GROUND RIBEYE. Give this family owned slice of heaven your business...you'll be so glad that you did!

I had the Pancake Platter which came with three pancakes, two eggs, and two pieces of bacon. I decided to go for the blueberry pancakes, and they were truly extraordinary in flavor. They could've been a little bigger, but they were really really flavorful and the blueberries were fresh blueberries not out of a can or frozen. Could have used a little more syrup than the 2 oz provided. Eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium) so that's an improvement from last time. With significant prodding from the staff, I also purchased a loaf of banana bread, some of which I will have for breakfast tomorrow. As a small business/restaurant, they're definitely improving so give them a chance. I think you'll really like it. PS: I didn't give them 5 Stars because little things always become problems later. They don't sell Pepsi or Coke products but encourage customers to buy these very expensive Reading Soda or Tractor beverages??? that I'm not familiar with and I just can't justify spend $3.25 for a bottle of something to drink that I don't know what it taste like. I also took off points because the men's bathroom smelled like five guys had been taking a smoke break in the bathroom for over an hour. It made me sick just to go in there and wash my hands and I could smell it on my clothes when I walked out of there and went to my seat. Not the way to start out a new business. But the food was good.

I can't say enough about this little shop that packs a big punch! Located in the markets in Hanover, I was searching for a warm sandwich for lunch. I came across Craft-Eats and was asked if I wanted to try a sample of their corned beef. I couldn't resist because the smell from the kitchen was amazing. The corned beef was SO good but I wasn't feeling it for lunch so I opted for the hot turkey sandwich with cheddar on apple walnut bread. This sandwich was just perfect-- warm, hearty, a little salty and a little sweet. It was just what I needed for lunch! It came with a few bread and butter pickles on the side. It was such a big portion that I had to take half of it to go. While I was waiting for my sandwich I had a chance to speak with the owners who were so lovely and from Long Island which was a nice surprise! One of the owners even gave my little one a treat which was so nice of her. Their story is a great one and their food is even better. I highly recommend stopping by to pick up either a sandwich or one of their amazing family meals if you're near Hanover-- you will be pleased!

Delicious homemade food, served hot with generous portions. Mashed potatoes with gravy taste like Mom's food. Service is outstanding!

Located on the outskirts of Hanover, Clair's has been a cornerstone family restaurant for the area since the 70s. Back in the 90s, I have fond memories of going to Clair's with my family for Friday night dinners. The restaurant itself has mostly left unchanged from what I can remember, but in a good way. The bright yellow sign out front, the ice cream cold display case at the entrance, to the charming booths with the removable partitions between each just play into childhood memories of simpler times. With how old the overall restaurant is, everything is well maintained and very clean. A testament to the hard working staff and devout ownership. Service: 5/5. We went on a Saturday night around 6pm for dinner and had a wonderful service. My party of 4 arrived to a fully packed restaurant, however we were fortunate to get a booth table after a brief 5 minute wait. The restaurant does not take reservations, but you can have Google call the restaurant to check on the wait time, a nice convenience. Our waitress was outstanding from start to finish. She was very friendly and did an excellent job keeping our drinks filled. Food came out punctually and piping hot. Overall, Clair 's staff has their service down pact and truly makes you feel at home. Food: 5/5. Exactly how I remembered. The core menu has remained mostly unchanged from what I remembered coming as a kid. From your classic turkey and gravy to Salisbury steak, all your classic family restaurant favorites are here. On top of that, they have daily specials that have a more modern/seasonal twist on the classics. At the time of my visit, they were serving Yuengling beer battered haddock which I decided to order. The fish was perfectly fried and had hardy portions. Speaking of portion size, each dinner included your choice of 2 side items from a dozen or so items. Highly recommend the breaded zucchini as well as the fried corn fritters, both of which were childhood favorites of mine that lived up to my nostalgia hype. Dinner prices range between $10-15 per platter, which is very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Don't forget to save room for dessert, as Clair's dishes up lovely hand spun milkshakes and sundaes using Hershey's ice cream. Overall, Clair's offers up the perfect casual dinner for those that just want to kick back and remember simpler times

Now, years later, my wife and I would pass by the new 81 diner and would always say we needed to try it. We'll, today was the day. We stopped in for lunch, and aside from a gentleman waiting for his to-go order, we were known as the customers. I guess not a lot of people eat at 3 in the afternoon. The atmosphere was very nice. The tables, chairs and booths all fit the diner nicely. My cheesesteak sub was very tasty. Their menu said no substitutions, but they let me withhold the lettuce, tomatoes and onions, which I'm not fond of, so I'm glad they let me do that. Along that note, my wife ordered the BLT sandwich, and gave me some of the bacon, which was really good! Our friend George ordered the pizza burger, which also looked good, and he seemed to enjoy it. Their fresh cut fries were fantastic as well. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the music being piped in was too modern for a classic diner atmosphere and wasn't something we were expecting. Hopefully that's something they will eventually change. Maybe next time we will stay long enough to try some of their desserts, which looked pretty good too. We will definitely be back soon.

I felt justified to leave 4-Stars but I'm leaving 5-Stars and the reason is that some slight changes could eventually be made. New Owners are working hard to establish and build up business. First, the inside is very nicely decorated and extremely clean Parking is perfect with plenty of spaces The dining staff were working fast and efficient, younger folks with very friendly and positive attitudes. Overall the Staff was Outstanding ! We only seen the Breakfast Menu, it was well planned and very easy to look over and make your selections. I was a little taken back at the cost of the Steak & Eggs, the Country Fried Steak and Ham Steak, both with Eggs as well, compared to other diners, it seems a little costly. The food arrived freshly cooked and hot, which is nice and we ordered the sliced fried potatoes, these need to be improved, no flavor, adding just a pinch of seasoning would take this many steps up. I had the Pancakes, Eggs and Sausage which were standard breakfast food. Deb had the French Toast, Eggs and Bacon, same standard breakfast food. This indeed is a nice little diner, I would bet they will continue improving as each day goes by. We will give them a try for lunch one day
