You get to make as many as you want within the allotted time then choose your top 3 faves. Like the instructor said, be in charge of the clay, and get rid of it if the relationship gets toxic. Also don't let the clay push you around!

The demo portion of the class was a little hard to remember at first, but the instructors were so nice and came around to help us step by step, ensuring our pottery pieces came out perfect. I also really appreciated how kind and patient the staff was with both me and my mom. We truly had the full pottery experience and were given plenty of clay to mold and craft. What I really loved about this experience is that in three weeks, my mom and I get to come back and paint our pieces! If anyone in Arizona is looking for a fun class to do with friends or just wants to try something new in the city, I highly recommend this art studio! The classes are very affordable; it was only $65.00 per person, which is a STEAL!

I hadn't been to an As You Wish since I was a teenager, and honestly not much has changed other than they now have SO many pottery pieces to choose from. I also loved all of the inspo pieces around the studio because if you're anything like me, painting freehand can feel a little intimidating. I decided to keep mine neutral and simple so it's something I can actually use in my home. I think it turned out cute, but we'll see after it's fired! My daughter is 4 and this felt like the perfect age for it because she could mostly do it herself, which made it genuinely enjoyable for both of us. The only thing I wish they offered was a choice between a glossy or matte glaze. I honestly think my piece looked so pretty before the shiny glaze was added. Overall though, such a sweet and fun little mom-and-daughter outing.

Service was wonderful and she explained everything to us very well on how things work. It is $10 per painter as well as the cost of the pottery. Prices range of course depending on the size and item. Acrylic painted items are able to go home same day, but glazed and doted takes three days before ready for pick up. My nieces had a great time painting some items they wanted to gift to others. The location is good size and tons of cute options. Can't wait to come again soon.

The space is…read morebright, welcoming, and filled with local art, handmade ceramics, and fun little details that make you want to slow down and look around. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, from the colorful seating to the vintage decor and handmade pottery available for purchase. I ordered the iced chai, and it was perfectly balanced with great spice flavor without being overly sweet. We also tried the matcha, which was smooth, creamy, and beautifully layered. The drinks were made quickly and looked just as good as they tasted. Beyond the coffee, this is an amazing place to support local artists. They had handcrafted mugs, planters, pottery, ceramics, cross-stitch kits, and other gifts throughout the shop. The atmosphere is quiet enough to work, catch up with friends, or simply relax with a drink. There are plenty of tables, large windows with natural light, and comfortable seating throughout. The staff was friendly, and the entire café was clean and inviting. Parking was easy, and I appreciated how much personality the space has compared to a typical coffee chain. If you're looking for a local coffee shop in Phoenix with excellent coffee, matcha, chai, unique gifts, handmade pottery, and a cozy creative atmosphere, Pip Coffee + Clay is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

As a complete novice, I was totally lost. I tried multiple times on my own but no luck. I asked for help multiple times and got general advice. I was the ONLY one that couldn't make anything, yet the instructor didn't seem to either notice or to care. I eventually looked up my own video on how to do this and still wasn't able to. The instructor said she would be happy to help one on one, yet I was the was one who clearly needed help, she was and just made her own pottery. I feel demoralized and humiliated. I left this experience in tears.
