Lemon + Artichoke Grilled Chicken

This place offers a unique selection of bar food, and the few meals I have tried have been very good. It is a small establishment where you usually seat yourself, but the service is consistently great, and the waitstaff are friendly.

You seat yourself, it's a very casual setting. Clean, servers were friendly & attentive. Po-boy was great, so were the fries. The potato consistency was great but could use a little more seasoning. Would definitely go back to try other menu items.

Nice ambiance, family-friendly. Service was prompt and our waitress was quite attentive and friendly. We started with the spinach artichoke sticks as an appetizer and they were wonderful. Cooked perfectly, with a wonderful blend of spinach, artichoke and cheese, covered with a crispy crust and ranch dip. Blackened fish tacos with the side of green beans was perfection! The tacos are a tad spicy, but not overpowering and the crispy green beans can be eaten as a replacement to fries! (Thoroughly enjoyed those beans!) My husband had the chicken fried steak, which was HUGE! His only request would be for it to have more seasoning, as he felt it was a little bland. Chicken Fried SteakSpinach Artichoke

Walked in to Craft 96, not knowing what to expect. It was my wife's treat, so you know you got to trust her recommendation, lol. It is located in a strip center with plenty of parking. There was a sign as you entered stating seat yourself. We sat close to the bar and near a tv to catch some sports. Our server Carter greeted us immediately and got our drink order and appetizer order. He was very informative on the different pours on the draft. From what I grasp, the higher the alcohol content by volume comes in a pour as small as 5 ounces and up to a pint. I believe they change their draft menu quite often. I went with the Galveston Island Helles Lager, and my wife got the Crackberry Cider and Galveston Island Hefenweisen. All of these hit the spot. Our appetizers were the Giant Pretzel with beercheese and brown mustard, Fried Green Tomatoes, and a Caesar Salad for me. The pretzel was hot and fresh as well as the tomatoes, which were battered in a Tempura like breading. Caesar had a little twist to it, having red cabbage mixed in. I've never seen that before. The entrees were excellent, finely portioned, and delivered hot! I had the Shrimp Scampi with angel hair pasta, and it appeared they utilized 16-20 count shrimp for the dish. This was great to see! My daughter had the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese with grilled chicken. This was equally amazing as well! I highly recommend coming by sometime. A big shout out to Carter and I commend him for exemplifying how a server should take care of the guest. I know we'll be coming by more often in the future when we move here in Oct!

Hidden gem in the Beach City area. So glad the parents brought us. Craft 96 likely has you and anyone you bring covered, when it comes to craft beer. Several local selections, lots of sours (thank you!), ciders, seltzers, and of course, all the usual craft beers. 60 on tap. Wow! And the food? Well done, Craft 96. We were here twice in four days, almost 3 times but ya know, turkey left overs. What'd we have twice? The bacon wrapped shrimp. What would we have again? Their ribeye steak and chicken fried steak, hands down. Their soup of the day was off the chain also. So good. Well seasoned, cooked to order, and fast. Our waitstaff was awesome. Attentive and friendly. Had a great time. Lots of room for different sized parties. Cute place with an industrial vibe. I love wood and metal combinations - simple and minimal always gets my attention.

65 Taps AND Great Food! We were traveling across the country and wanted to stop somewhere for some lunch and a brew. We found this place and being a beer fan, I found it hard to leave. The tap wall list is totally impressive if the row of tap handles doesn't impress you enough. For every offering, it shows the tap number, brewer, the type of beer/seltzer/cider, the %ABV, and prices per pour size. Unlike most other brew pubs, they charge for samples. No free tasters here. I did have some fun talking with other beer fans standing at the bar studying that impressive beer wall. I sampled a few and settled in for a stout. To my wife's surprise, I did manage to pry myself away from the bar and rejoin her at our table. For meals, my wife had the Brie + Apple Chicken Sandwich ($14.00), without the bread. It was served as a split grilled chicken breast, atop a bed of caramelized onions, topped with brie cheese, sliced granny smith apples and splashed with a balsamic reduction along with a side of skin on, hand cut fries. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I went for the Smoked Gouda + Mushroom Burger ($14.00). This was all of a half pound of very tasty, perfectly cooked to medium rare, hand formed beef, topped with bacon, sautéed mushrooms and melty smoked gouda cheese on a toasted brioche bun. Raw onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo were on the side. The burger also came with the fries. Look at my pics and check out this burger! It was as good as it looks. This place was terrific and I would gladly stop again if I'm every near there.

The food was amazing as well as the atmosphere. Our waiter had great personality and food came out quickly.

My husband and I decided to stop by Craft 96 for some drinks and some food after running errands. We picked this place because it was convenient and casual. We also saw that they had a lot of draft beers on tap which made us want to sit at the bar. The bartender was nice and friendly and explained that we can order smaller pours to try the different kinds of beer. Needless to say we both got a flight of 3-4 beers each to try! We also ordered some food, sweet potato fries, garlic mash, and fried spinach artichoke dip. The sweet potato fries were the best! Nice and thick and crunchy but soft, fluffy, and sweet on the inside. The fried spinach artichoke dip was fine, it wasn't anything too special but I liked that you can just eat the dip like a mozzarella instead of having to dip chips in it. Sadly the garlic mash was not that great. It tasted like boxed mashed potatoes and you couldn't even taste the garlic. Overall we had a great experience, minus the garlic mash (they were fine, if you like boxed mashed potatoes) and with over 60+ beers, we are definitely going back, might even have to try their entrees.

Beer is tapped every Friday morning and twice a week after that!

First review of '23 and I'm excited that Craft 96 is it! We've been waiting to try this place because driving by, it always looks busy. We did come early on a Friday ... 545ish ... at this point it was seat yourself and there were a few tables available. It noticeably got busier around 6ish but the wait seemed manageable for a Friday night. Once there was more than 2 groups of people waiting, the manager did a great job of hosting the open tables ... at about 630 it changed over to waiting to be seated. I will say I think the parking lot is deceiving ... it makes you think it's incredibly busy, and never once did I feel like there was an extended wait for anyone. Most groups waiting to be seated we're around 5-6 people. Our waitress was cute as a button and very attentive! We had our drinks immediately and she was ready to take our order when we were ready ... unfortunately for her, I have menu anxiety ... so it's takes me a bit to decide what I want, but she never once rushed us! Here's what we ordered: * pretzel: incredible ... crispy on the outside, soft on the inside ... beer cheese set it off, it was light, yet full of flavor ... for sure shareable among 4 people. * spinach artichoke dip sticks: surprisingly, this was the fav appetizer among our kids ... it's spinach artichoke dip that they freeze, cut up into dip-able sticks, deep fry, and serve with ranch. An order comes with 4 and we loved them! * apple & brie chicken sandwich: this is what I ordered and I was so excited for it ... unfortunately, it was my least favorite thing we ordered and I probably won't order it again ... the execution seemed kind of thrown together and I feel like a sandwich with these huge flavor profiles deserved a little more attention ... didn't love and wouldn't recommend. * shrimp po-boy: this was a complete throw back to NOLA - so much shrimp, perfect amount of bread, and the tartar sauce was amazing! The sandwich was HUGE and full of flavor ... this is a prime example of why I have menu anxiety ... I had food envy over my husbands dish! For the kids we ordered Mac n cheese (sub mashed pots for the side), grilled cheese, and chicken fingers ... all 3 kids loved their meals and 2 of the 3 almost ate their entire meal (which is pretty much an adult size meal). Overall, I highly recommend to go and give it a try! The atmosphere was great (tons of TVs), music was awesome, food was great, drinks were cold, service was amazing!

I had an incident at this store Involving Debbie, one of the employees. My wife and I entered the…read morestore at around noon and each tried to purchase a six pack of pickle beer. Once at the register Debbie informed us that there was only one six pack allowed per customer at which time I replied, " we both have a six pack, 2 people with two six packs is that not allowed". Debbie responded but saying that it was only one per family so we gladly put one six pack back in the Cooler and I purchase the other. While paying I asked Debbie if there would be a problem if my wife came by later that day and bought a six pack since she would be by herself and Debbie responded, I know nothing" obviously not saying the exact words that it would be allowed but anyone can read between the lines. So we left and a couple hours later my wife returned to the store and tried to purchase a six pack of pickle beer. As my wife was approaching the register Debbie said " I'll make an exception this one time" my wife responded "make an exception for what"? Debbie responded "for the beer". My wife then responded "that's crazy". At this point Debbie became irritated and told my wife that she could refuse service to her at any time. My wife, knowledgeable on businesses' rights responded "yes you can, is that what your wanting to do". Debbie responded " ummm, yes I think I do". So my wife was refused service at your store over this petty incident. Debbie acted very unprofessionally and obviously has a short temper. I am a resident of beach city and love supporting local businesses, and do so every chance I can. I have a very large family from the area and we all love and support our local businesses. I have never once given a negative review of any store or product in my entire life. But I found this completely unacceptable. Not to Mention Debbie was not wearing her mask (which is required by stated mandate) when my wife politely asked her if she was supposed to be wearing one, Debbie responded by saying "nope I don't have to wear one". Debbie obviously has no regard for the customers or their safety. This is a very nice well stocked store, hopefully ownership can resolve this serious customer service issue. Until then I will not step foot into this place again.

They do have live bands so it may get loud, if that's not your thing. Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.

The margarita was strong. The bartender was nice. Yesterday I stopped by for lunch. Service was good. However, I was disappointed in the food. I had the lunch fajitas, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice or refried beans. The rice was plain not seasoned. I had the cookie skillet for dessert. Ice Cream was salad as a rock. It even took forever for to melt from the heat of the cookie. Two gentlemen were sitting next to me at the bar. We was noticing how they had a few birthday celebrations that were taking place.
