10/10 BBQ spot. We ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and wedge fries and everything was on point. The ribs were tender and packed with flavor on their own, but the three house sauces really took it to another level. The Tangy Gold, Hell Fire Hot BBQ, and Cracker Jacks BBQ all had their own distinct flavor and made it fun to switch it up with each bite. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, and the wedge fries were perfectly crispy and somehow stayed hot the entire meal (which never happens). The restaurant has a cool, classic BBQ vibe inside -- clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The owner/chef even came out to greet us and check on everything, which says a lot about how much they care. Our server was great and checked on us consistently without being overbearing. Easy 10/10. Definitely coming back. read more

My husband and I stopped last week for dinner. We ordered the Garlic Buffalo Wings for an appetizer which came with potato wedges. The wings were good and you could really taste the garlic. The wedges were AMAZING. He ordered the brisket dinner with beans and potato salad and I ordered the baby back ribs with coleslaw with Mac n Cheese. The brisket was cooked perfectly with the smoke ring visible and tender. The potato salad was good, but the beans tasted heavily of cumin. The baby back ribs were good and the meat came right off the bone. The coleslaw was a perfect complement to the ribs and Mac n cheese tasted like grandma used to make. We had the Blackberry Cobbler for dessert. It was served piping hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The crust was flaky and the blackberries delicious. More than enough for 2 to share. Got some food to go, and most of it was disappointing. The meat on the brisket sandwich was tough and tasted old. The pork sandwich was not hot and the bread was soggy with too much sauce. The peach cobbler looked like someone had scraped the bottom of a pie dish. It was a little bit of undercooked dough and a couple of small pieces of peach. We threw it away. We really want to support local-owned businesses, but at your price point, you need to do better. read more

Absolutely fabulous pulled pork sandwich and the potato wedges are outrageously delicious. Hubby had the brisket sandwich with green and wedges also. He loved the greens and said the brisket sandwich waa bomb. We will definitely be back. Shout out to the gentleman who I believe was the owner for checking on each table. I was in town for work and am so glad that I got the chance to try this place. My mom and I shared a full baby back rib dinner ($35.99) with a side of Mac n cheese and collard greens. I loved all their varieties of homemade bbq sauces to go with the ribs! The sides were also EXCELLENT; I'm a sucker for some good pot liquor! They also included a cornbread muffin, and it was so good that it had me wondering if that's how cornbread is supposed to taste (now I know what I've been missing out on all my life). The portion was huge, too; we ended up having to take half the ribs to-go. The service was some of the best I have ever had. The workers were so kind, and our waitress went out of her way to find some lemon for my mom's hot water. She even offered a teabag on the house. This place feels like a BBQ diner from the South. Blues music playing, very friendly staff. Homemade lemonade and sweet tea. The food is really good. I liked the beans, and I don't usually like beans. Good portions, we had to get a take home box because we couldn't finish everything. Taking peach cobbler home for dessert too. Saw this new place on social media and decided to give it a try. The customer service was amazing, the people are very friendly and attentive. One of the owners came and introduced themselves and made sure everything was ok. We got two of the meat plates with different meats and 6 different sides. Everything was so good, the meat didn't even need sauce and was nice and tender. The wedges, mac and collard greens were my favorite sides. The coleslaw and potato salad were really good too. I went to go eat for lunch at a place but unfortunately they had an emergency closed up so I searched on Yelp for local barbecue. Cracker Jack's barbecue showed up. I wasn't even aware that it was in my neighborhood. What a wonderful happenstance because the BBQ was fantastic. I have to admit their potato salad is just like my mamas. I had mac & cheese very well seasoned and brisket of beef on some white bread that just sucked up all the juices along with some cornbread and I had the regular house barbecue sauce and hellfire. They were both amazing and finger looking good. I will definitely be back next time i'm craving some BBQ!!! I'll take the time to eat there because the decor was on spot with some good tunes. Hands down the best BBQ joint in the AV. Had the baby backs with baked beans, cold slaw and cornbread. Meat was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Sauce wasn't as hot as I thought it would be with the name, "Hellfire." However, it was delicious and had an after-burn effect. Portion sizes were just right and prices were very reasonable. The young lady who helped me was helpful, very sweet and polite. I ordered Brisket dinner with greens and bake beans. The amount of food given was appreciated. The brisket needed seasoning however when paired with the bbq sauce it became a smash. The greens were absolutely delicious and the bake beans had a lil twist on them that I loved. The pull pork sandwiches were delicious and so were the potato wedges and the greens and Mac & Cheese.. We are definitely going back to try the ribs.. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The place was good our server was nice, she was doing most of the work. But there is this young black girl who is 1 of the owners daughter, she is so freaking lazy. She acts like a diva, not helping the staff. I suggest the owners she fire her asap. Just because of the owner's daughter who works there, I will not be coming back. We tried this place today. The owners were phenomenal. They greeted us at our table. Answered all of our questions. They even asked us what types of appetizers we would be interested in seeing on the menu. When we said hush puppies and fried green tomatoes, they worked their magic and produced them. The service was perfect, the restaurant was clean, welcoming and very comfortable. We were checked in on, and at no point did we go without anything needed to enjoy the amazing bbq. I got the brisket combo. It was nearly $30 and they gave me around 5 slices of thin meat- it was around the size of a slice of turkey sandwich meat but a bit thicker. If i knew the portion size was that small I would've ordered something else. It did taste good though. It also came with a slice of bread which was quite soggy, as well as a piece of cornbread which was alright. The sides weren't very impressive unfortunately, I got the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese which tasted ok- not great, not bad. The portions for the sides were on the generous side. The bbq sauce was pretty good. The drink was pretty small and cost around $3 for like 12oz of soda and it tasted watery. Service was slow, the man at the counter taking orders spent like ten minutes on the phone while customers waited. Overall feels pretty overpriced and overrated. Don't think I'd come back unfortunately. read more

Lancaster has something new, and it's special! Heard about this place through a Facebook post, so we decided to stop by and we were absolutely blown away! The food was incredible, and the service was just as great. Jasmine took great care of us, and one of the owners (shout out to Chi-Town) came around to every table to check in. Super friendly and welcoming vibe all around. I ordered the two-meat combo with baby back ribs and short ribs, plus collard greens and garlic mashed potatoes -- it also came with cornbread. My wife went with the St. Louis ribs and brisket with mac & cheese and coleslaw. She went all out and added fries and potato salad, so we pretty much tried the whole menu . Everything was perfectly seasoned, the meat was tender, and every bite was delicious. Just when we thought we couldn't eat any more, they brought out the peach cobbler with ice cream, definitely a must-try! Great food, great people, and great vibes.
