Not a fan of country style cooking but I do like there breakfasts and on Fridays they have fried cod that we love. The noise level can be off putting and other times it's fine. They pack alot of people in same room with very little distance apart. So you are hearing them and they are hearing you.

So I visited CB after almost a decade and boy it brought back memories. Not sure why this place has such low ratings. I love the whole idea of going through their fancy little shop before going into the dining area. There is something for everyone. My kids picked up some digger drink while I got a couple of souvenirs. The restaurant itself is no frills attached very old school country vibes, I definitely appreciated that after living in a busy city life environment for many years. Our server was fantastic she kept checking on us every few minutes. Even got the girls some candy sticks complimentary. The restaurant is very well staffed and food doesn't take too long to come out. We ordered a fried food sampler it was pretty good something I wouldn't order at a breakfast place but my daughter wanted to eat it. Coming down to the main I ordered eggs with steak it was phenomenal. It tasted fresh delicious and the portion was perfect. The steak was so well seasoned and please don't expect it to be a some high end quality steak but for the price it was a ten. I also ordered their pancakes and I can safely say they have to be amongst the best pancakes I ever ate. I'm definitely going back for them. Bathroom was clean. Lots of parking outside. Lots of options to choose from if you want something but the eggs. Overall a great experience I'm coming back.

Lunch with my daughter's!!! The chicken fried chicken with three sides all for under $10.00. I also had corn bread muffin with my meal

How can you go wrong with Cracker Barrel? It's old-fashioned home-cooked food you could have breakfast at any time the atmosphere feels like you're at your granny's house. There is no M beyond it just feels like you're over your granny or your auntie's house but the food is delicious. The chicken and dumplings are highly recommend. The service is quick always and it's always a great meal to have with your family that is very reasonably priced and you can come as your dress.

I know I have done reviews here before but seriously one of our favorite spots for Sunday breakfast. We did try something new and will definitely get it again eggs Benny. Instead of a traditional egg Benedict this came with a biscuit, bacon, hollandaise sauce (which we asked for extra and was told they can't. Idk why but ok it was still amazing) green onions, and tomatoes. You will also get 2 sides for 10.99 Another one of my favorite things about here is you can get on the waiting list online

Hashbrown Casserole, Pinto Beans, Turnip Greens, Dumplins

Hubby & I stopped in for breakfast with another couple. We were seated immediately. Our server took our drink order quickly while we perused the menu. After we ordered, our food came out in about 20 minutes. They were busy as the restaurant was completely full. Our food came out steaming hot. I got sides of hash brown casserole & sliced tomatoes. The tomatoes were below average & the hash brown casserole was just okay. My eggs were cooked just right (over medium) & the ham was tasty. Our server took good care of us. We'd eat here again.

I don't write reviews often, but Southern Grace absolutely deserves one…read more The food here is already well known for being amazing, so that part isn't a secret. Everything is seasoned perfectly, cooked right, and served hot. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, the greens tasted like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen, and the candied yams were sweet and done just right. It's the kind of plate that reminds you why Southern cooking is so special. But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food. It was the customer service. In most places, you either get incredible food with average service, or great service with food that's just okay. Southern Grace somehow manages to deliver both at a very high level. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with genuine kindness and respect. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and you can tell they actually care about the experience they're giving their customers. I have to make a special mention to one of the team members LaDon for his exceptional professionalism. That kind of consistency between food quality and customer service is rare. It makes the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you're looking for authentic Southern food paired with top-tier hospitality, Southern Grace is absolutely worth the visit. Places like this remind you what real customer service is supposed to feel like.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

I ordered the Club sandwich, wife order chicken Alfredo and daughter ordered a steak. My sandwich came out and I was a little disappointed. Maybe I am wrong but when I think of a club sandwich I think of a double layer sandwich full of meat. This came out as a single layer sandwich with a few slices of meat, bacon, lettuce and plenty of mayo. Then cut into 4s and double stocked to look like alot on the plate. It was tasty but something I could have made at home with wonder bread and deli slices. My wives chicken Alfredo was good. Chicken was moist but the noodles were under cooked. Big plate of food for the price and worth the order if your in the mood for it. My daughter's plate was the worst. She ordered the 6oz steak with baked potato and asparagus. We were told that the our meal was taking a while due to the steak so we were surprised when it arrived. My daughter cut it open and found the steak to still be blue in the middle and barely warm. The mushrooms on top looked like canned mushrooms, her asparagus were small and shriveled as they were sitting under the heat light forever. The only good thing on her plate was the baked potato. The restaurant itself could use a good paint job inside. You can tell the place is dated. It would be a great place to visit if they took a little bit more pride in the food. With tip I spent $78 bucks and feel that I would have a more enjoyable meal at the applebees or cracker barrel across the street. Restaurant has many food good looking food options so it would be worth a try again.

When we pulled up, the outside looked a little quiet and honestly the whole town felt kind of abandoned. But the second you open the door -- totally different story. The place was full of life: music playing, kind faces everywhere, and the smell of amazing food. We started with deviled eggs for an appetizer. My dad ordered the ribs with carrot salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. I got the pulled pork with greens, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. The food was out of this world. The ribs? They understood the assignment and got extra credit. The meat literally fell right off the bone & perfectly seasoned. I definitely stole a few from my dad's plate. The pulled pork was incredible too -- super tender with no gristle, which I loved. And the sides... oh my gosh. My personal favorites were the mac & cheese, greens, and the baked beans. We finished with the apple crisp for dessert -- so good and easily enough for two people. And the best part? Everything is made fresh. We don't live in the area, but I already can't wait to go back.

Everyone else was happy with their meal: pulled pork sandwich with mashed potatoes, kids chicken tenders, low country shrimp deviled egg salad, meatloaf sandwich with peanut cole slaw and grilled cheese & tomato soup. We also had desserts. We tried the apple cobbler and bourbon bread pudding. The bread pudding was AWESOME! The cobbler was really just baked apples with ice cream and some crumbles. Not really a cobbler, but it was tasty. We ordered coffee during dessert and [fair warning] it was instant coffee. The place is very casual. We overdressed because I thought it would be nicer. Casual isn't bad, just not what I expected. Meals are served on cardboard, brown paper and metal trays. I called twice to make a reservation. No one answered. I left messages both times and did not receive a call back. I called another time and got a person and was able to make a reservation, although I now know it was not needed. There was plenty of seating available. The server was VERY NICE and personable and attentive. The kitchen was slow, however. It is possible she was the only person working since we did not see anyone else. 3 of us ordered the low country shrimp and deviled egg salad but all the hot food came out first. Our server apologized for the missing salads and said she'd be right back. It was a good amount of time before she came back and we had the impression she was making them herself. While the food was delicious and our server was very nice, we probably won't go back. It was worth the drive (we live in NKy) to go once, but not to go again.

Fried Chicken? Libby's gots the goods!…read more I've been here a few times now. A lover of fried chicken who is always on the hunt for the good stuff, Libby's does not disappoint. Located just over the river in Covington, KY, Libby's is only a few blocks walk from some of the happenings in Covington, like the Madison Theatre and Madison Live. There's a decent pay parking lot right at the intersection just across the street from Libby's. I went for the fried chicken and that's what I got.... both times. Libby's is nowhere near me so it was worth the 40 minute drive to get there the first time and an easy go-to for the second time around when I was going out for the night in Covington. The fried chicken is super crispy, full of flavor and moist and delicious. Libby's crushes it when it comes to the fried chicken. Here's the thing - I got sides both times. The chicken, being the feature of the meal, was so good that I don't even remember the sides that I got. I can say though that they were good. Libby's is popular. So, plan on a wait or, if available, to take a seat at the bar. Libby's isn't huge but they have space to take on a larger table of people to small high-tops for two or, again, for one or a few to grab a seat at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. We never wanted for anything. They were on top of it without bothering you. Would I go back? Cluck yeah, I'd go back. Remember when I said "Libby's gots the goods"? I wasn't kidding.
