We came to this cracker barrel on a monday night around 5:30 ish and it was empty! I remember going to cracker barrel's growing up and it was always packed. Maybe it is not as popular as it used to be? We decided to order the chicken dippers that comes with 3 sauces. The ranch was super tasty but was not a fan of the nashville hot. The food is really nothing special. The mac and cheese was okay, the biscuits were dry, and the chicken was fine. There's really not much flavor on anything. I will say, I think the prices are reasonable! It was $13 for 6 chicken tenders, fries, mac n cheese, and a biscuit, with 3 sauces. So definitely an affordable price but still not great. My favorite part about this place is the little triangle game at the table and the service. The server was so so sweet and friendly to us! I can see myself going back here to maybe try a dessert and hang out with friends but not have a full meal.

Cracker Barrel: a restaurant that you can trust to always serve delicious food! There is just something about the hash brown casserole, dumplings, and country cured ham that will have you craving to return. My favorite option to order is the Grandma's Breakfast platter that comes with sausage, bacon, country cured ham, two eggs, a side, and pancakes or French toast. If you are feeling like ordering breakfast, you can order items from the lunch and dinner menu such as chicken tenders, salads, burgers, sandwiches, country fried steak, turkey, meatloaf, and more. This spot is a family favorite on long road trips because there is something tasty on the menu they everyone will enjoy!

Cold food. Server was pleasant , table and silverware was dirty. Busboy took dishes and left the mess on the floor. This whole restaurant could use a scrub!

I arrived at the Lee's Summit road Cracker Barrel and as always a very clean environment. I walked to the host/ hostess station and was seated immediately. Our waitress, Destiny, was a cheerful young lady and was very polite. I ordered the chicken pot pie and my friend ordered chicken tenders. While waiting we notice our silverware was dirty. Destiny was quick to apologize and got us new silverware. My pot pie has a wonderful flavor, but is extremely thin so as far as a hardy meal this was not. My friend told me her meal was wonderful. We did not receive our rolls until after our meals were served. Overall a good place I've had great meals in the past, this meal for me was just ok.

I am still genuinely befuddled at this Friday night dinner experience…read more I came in for a celebratory Hurricane since I'd heard these were great (and we loved their cocktails the last time) and a bite. The place was pretty empty which was unusual; the last time we came in I think was in December and it was slammed! It turns out they aren't serving alcohol right now (apparently an ownership change? I didn't get the full scoop) so that was the first let-down. So fine - I'll just have a bowl of the gumbo. For $29?! And some biscuits. The gumbo comes out in a cracked bowl with a cracked plate underneath and the 3 little crawfish on top are refrigerator cold. Granted, the actual gumbo was pretty solid with the right amount of heft and spice and depth, but even then the rice had some hard pieces in it like it was old. The biscuits aren't anything to write home about and the butter is just meh. I wouldn't spend my carbs there. On top of all that, the waitress literally couldn't be bothered that I existed. I had to pry to get a drink menu (which is when I found out they weren't serving any), I couldn't get any eye contact from her or any kind of friendliness, she asked me if I wanted them to "heat it up" when I told her about the crawfish, and then brought my bill when I hadn't even finished dinner without bothering to ask if I wanted any dessert. And on top of that, there was no mention at all about the dinner issues or any apology whatsoever. I don't need or want a meal comped but for over $40 for a bowl of gumbo and some biscuits (+ tax, tip, etc) I at least expect some acknowledgement or "hey, here's something nice we can do for you". We really enjoyed the last time we were here and this was a genuinely jarring experience compared to that. The place looks pretty rough right now - maybe this is one of those places that has the right vibe in the dark, but nothing felt right about it today, and I'm afraid I can't (won't) recommend it again.

We always opt for the fresh mashed potatoes, the honey glazed baby carrots, and country seasoned green beans... They're always perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Even the side of red beans and rice or the broccoli cheese casserole are always a comforting choice. You just can't go wrong. We love the honey buttered fresh croissants they generously serve, complimentary to everyone. I'lI tell you a secret price hack... If you order the veggie plate, which gives you 5 sides: 4 regular sides of your choice, plus a soup or salad (or substitute a 5th side choice instead) then add on a side of 3 thicken tenders (which are hand battered and cooked until they're a moist, tender, crunchy perfection of a tender.) for only $3.99, you'll get a real awesome deal!l It's like ordering their regular chicken tender dinner - but only now, you're getting 5 side choices!!! Doing it that way, you're getting 3 extra sides for the same basic price of the regular tender dinner with only 2 sides! You're welcome! That's my not-so-secret hack now. We really like using the get in line benefit on their website as well No waiting!!! You can't go wrong with eating here. They seem to care about your experience.

The chicken wraps were flavorful, fresh, and filling without being too heavy, and the fish was cooked just right--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can tell they put effort into making things taste homemade rather than rushed. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, making it a good spot to sit down and enjoy a meal without feeling hurried. Service was also solid--friendly, attentive, and everything came out in a reasonable time. Overall, this location really delivered on both quality and experience. If you're looking for a casual place with consistently good food, this Cheddar's is definitely worth a visit. I'd happily come back again.

Gus's is just good fried chicken with simple tasty sides…read more I came in with my step dad and brother on a weekday night and parking was ample outside + we were seated immediately. It wasn't particularly packed and the lighting was fairly soft, which was nice. The waitress got our orders and drinks our fairly quickly and with a friendly demeanor. I opted for the white meat, so I had a couple of juicy chicken breasts with some Mac & cheese + mashed potatoes. Yeah, it was a bit carb heavy, but it all worked well together. While the breading definitely has some spice to it, it was fairly weak by my standards and wasn't an issue. Nor did it cause any issues later. My poor step dad got a concentrated seasoning bit and he was about beside himself, but even he recovered shortly thereafter. Overall it was a good meal at a good price with good service. It's hard to beat that combination. So if you like a little spice with your fried chicken, Gus's is a good option.
