We have mixed feelings about this place. First impressions are everything. We were greeted at the hostess station will a great smile and a better greeting by which appeared to be the floor manager. We were then handed off to a very unpleasant and unhappy person by the name of Amiah. Did not say anything to us and did not even smile. I understand it was 0800 on a Saturday but it is your whole job. She tried to seat us at a table against the wall by the window. Any other day this would have been great but the table next to us had a gentleman that had his chair scooted back so there is no way we could have sat on the one side of the table, there was not enough room to get in there even if you were Olive Oyl from Popeye. When we asked to sit one table over she rolled her eyes and let out a big sign and begrudgingly moved us. Once sat we did have a good experience. We arrived too late for dinner and left too early for breakfast, which might sound unusual, but that is the rhythm of life on the road. One of the quiet courtesies of the chain is that RVers are welcome to park overnight, with the understanding that it is not a campground. That means keeping generator use minimal, avoiding slide outs, and respecting the lot as a place to rest, not to camp. Even though we missed the main meals, we did step inside for sweets. Mrs. K. has a fondness for the lemon sticks, and while that is not much, it was something, and it honored the spirit of the arrangement. The next breakfast will be at another Cracker Barrel along our journey, and I suspect the biscuits and gravy will taste even better knowing we have kept the tradition alive. I just tried to get my food remade cause our food was so bad and they tried to make me pay for it again. why am I haven to pay for the food again if it was wrong 25 dollars is a lot of money to some folks and the fact that this was crazy. We went at 11:30 on a Saturday November 1st 2025 and waited 30 minutes to get seated. After we ordered our food it took 45 minutes to get and was disappointing how poor the quality was. The green beans were inedible with hard dried bits of old beans and huge stems. The chicken fried chicken was cold with congealed gravy. Super disappointing experience overall. Our waitress was apologizing to all the tables for the long wait. We did show our green beans to the waitress and she acknowledged that they were inedible and recommended that we talk to a manager. At checkout we asked to speak with the manager, but the manager never came. So we ultimately paid the bill and left. read more

Very Poor Service. Me and my wife eat at Cracker Barrell all the time. We travel a lot and we go to a Cracker Barrell wherever we go. Usually everything is great. Not with this location though. 1. The Hostess looked rude and not interested. 2. The server kept lying to us about the readiness of our food. After 20 minutes of wait, the server brings my sweet potatoe side, all by itself. No steak next to it, no other sides. then 10 minutes later, she tells us that the order is ready and at the window. 15 minutes passes by, we get nothing. It is almost an hour total of wait, with no food, we decide to leave. Don't go to this location if you value your time. read more

We noticed for a while now that Cracker Barrel has really declined in their service and food. Today we stopped in Florence to eat breakfast and really wish we had just eaten the free breakfast at the hotel. I think we have eaten at our last CB, at least for a while. No napkins given, no water offered, dirty utensils, and the food was not very good. The ham slice was more like ham jerky. Usually the servers are very friendly, but the person who served us was a grumpy gus and really acted like we were intruding on his time. I always tip no matter how the service, but even though I did I sure didn't feel it. I'll stick to other restaurants for breakfast from now on. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that refused my business and Florence Cracker Barrel did just that. My husband walked up to the hostess and the young man said I'm sorry we are not taking any more customers. My husband said what do you mean hostess replied back my manager told me not to take anymore names so my husband said so what do we do? Hostess said I guess you will have to find somewhere else to eat. Fiesta Mexicana in Tuscumbia on HWY 72 never disappoints. I had a fine experience with my server but my problem was with the hostess. She was very unfriendly and rude, we couldn't hardly hear what she was saying. Got peach tea, was given sweet tea. It was corrected. I asked about biscuits half way through our meal- oh they will be ready in a minute. Never once did we get biscuits or cornbread until we got our to go boxes. Asked for hamburger steak with gravy and sautéed onions, none was on it. I tell her, she goes and gets some, I was given some clear stuff that had a slice of raw onion in it. Told the waitress "so this onion is raw" oh you're right! They are just messing everything up aren't they!- she says. Well she's the one that delivered the raw onion in a liquid substance... got a to-go order that was placed in the beginning of us sitting down, as soon as it was brought to us, guess what? Have been a regular breakfast customer since Cracker Barrel opened in Florence. Always receive outstanding service from a waitress we call "Little Jessica" and a waiter named John. However, for the past month or so management has only scheduled two servers to open and Jessica and John are just slammed trying to provide good service. We were there on Father's Day and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The service was slow because there again there were only two servers. There was. o one to bus tables so the servers had to wait tables as well as bus tables, etc. Finally a few waiters showed up but things did not improve much. One of them spent 15 minutes talking to friends at a table near us. The dining room looked like a bomb had gone off but she never one time turned around and offered to help Jessica or John even though it was obvious they were struggling. We finally decided to speak to a Manager but it was very clear that he was just going to provide lip service. When we pointed out the waitress that had been visiting with her friends for at least 15 minutes, he said she was probably their friendliest waitress and that that was the only table in her station that was occupied at that time. When we asked why she couldn't help the other servers with their customers, he said that wasn't her job. I think the Manager's name was Jeff. After meeting him it was very evident why the customer service at CB has declined. On one of the busiest days of the year, he didn't have a clue how to provide good customer service. Bet it never entered his mind to get out there on the floor and bus tables or pour coffee. Jessica and John are always outstanding but the manager gets an F. read more

Never have posted a Yelp review, never been inspired to but Wow! That was the most amazingly bad breakfast experience this morning at Cracker Barrel Florence Alabama. The food arrived cold, bad biscuits that fell apart when you tried to pick them up (bad texture, soft and mushy and no flavor), cold lumpy grits, lukewarm coffee, barely warm nasty hash, bacon sopped in grease.. We have been twice this week with my elderly mother who can't see very well. The hostess sat us at a dark table, when I ask her to be seated at a table with light or by the window so she could read the menu, she replied she only had that one table when in fact there were several empty tables with more light. She simply refused to seat us somewhere else until I asked for the manger. Maybe they should train their hostess to be more accommodating to the elderly. read more

Took my wife here tonight for her birthday. Food was really good. Prices were good for the food we received. Our waitress was tentative and very respectful. Overall our experience was great and we will be back many more times. And for the people complaining about prices, you get what you pay for. Two people and our bill was only $28. Rating up from 3 Stars to 4. Everything improved today from service to food quality. Pricing isn't too bad and happy with serving sizes. We will be back. There breakfast is always hot and delicious (which is mostly what I always order). The service is usually good with friendly waiters. The only reason I am giving this three stars is the one time I didn't get breakfast I ordered fried chicken and the chicken was undercooked. Personally to me the lemonade is way to sour, it doesn't even taste like they put sugar in, just my opinion though. Standard run of the mill Cracker Barrel. Same as any other. People in this town think it is the only place to have breakfast. It is not. Time to go is at opening in the morning. In late winter here when it is warm out, they have the fire roaring in dining area. Gets hot if you're close. No need for it. Haven't been in here in months. Have completely given up due to continuously bad food. Can't cook eggs and grits and the country ham was overdone the last 2 times I was in here. May try it again after they've had time to filter out the bad kitchen help but I really don't expect much to happen there. Update: Visited on Saturday, July 21. Much has improved but much more can be done. As always, silverware was filthy. It's always filthy, like it has become an acceptable practice. Today I have been studying my butt off in college so much that I didn't notice the time. It is past time to go get food within my college and I'm in my pajamas. So I decided to order food from Cracker Barrel. The one from my home town was really good when I ordered from it so I didn't think anything about it. But when I got my order I'm really disappointed.. the cobbler was cold, very little breading on it, and no ice cream. The hash brown Casserole was hard and cold, the cinnamon apples were really watery it seemed like, and the biscuits were cold. My cold coffee I ordered came in a coffee cup for warm drinks, was like warm no ice, and looked like it wasn't filled all the way or my driver drank some. I didn't dare drink the coffee in fear that it was drank after and because it didn't look good at all. If I wanted warm coffee I would have saved my money and made it in my room in my dorm. (Which would have been way better then what I got) I ate the questionable food because I hadn't eaten all day and still need to go grocery shopping but no time to do it because of school deadlines. Now my stomach is hurting and I'm not feeling good. This was -10/10 would not recommend. I'm really disappointed. read more

Breakfast time review: As soon as you walk in, the person at counter tells you to grab your own silverware, menus, and a table. I thought that was ok but then the server took a bit to come around. Service overall is slow (both the server and kitchen) but friendly. The food is below average for Cracker Barrel (dry). We came to meet some friends here, but wouldn't likely return. read more
