I must say the gelatinous dumplings are filling and a normal sweet potato is good, luke warm but tasty after getting it replaced. Never get the loaded sweet potato, it has a gigantic mound of pretty marshmallow that taste fake and awful. Upgrade score cause on occasion a good waitress appears, today was Jessica who was nice and if it were not for older relatives I would never ever come here. We have been going to cracker barrel for years but this was the first time at Corydon IN location and we won't be back. I was 1:30 in the afternoon and not to busy. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Only after I talked to manager did we get that. Our granddaughter got pancakes that were ice cold and bacon that looked uncooked. I'll call this review "Ode to stopping at Cracker Barrel for breakfast while on a road trip." Just kidding... I ordered the Good Morning Breakfast (Two Scrambled Egg Whites, Coarse Ground Grits, a side of Fresh Seasonal Fruit, sliced tomatoes and Turkey Sausage.) I subbed regular bacon for the turkey sausage. I ate everything except for the sliced tomatoes and the grits. It wasn't too heavy which is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't tell you what the four other people I was with ordered. I was kind of into myself that morning. I have loved every single Cracker Barrel I've been to BUT this one....... it sure killed it for me. My sausage was not cooked all the way, still pink. Bacon was over cooked & super hard. The gravy was plain & no taste. Grits were same. And they couldn't make oatmeal?!! The waitress was nice & attentive though. But someone needs to come here & fix this one. Why?!! I know this location is sittting on a three star but every recent visit we have had, which is MANY over the last few months, has been at least 4-5. Last week we popped in while running errands and were greeted by our server, Arianna. She was fast and efficient and got everything to the table quickly, and politely gave me a to-go cup of coffee. WAY TO GO, ARIANNA! But really, all of our servers, with only RARE exceptions, have been great at this location. But back to the food: this past week I got breakfast and my wife opted for lunch--turkey, more specifically. I'm in a bit of a foodie euphoria with sausage, gravy, and biscuits when my wife interrupts to tell me, "You HAVE to try this turkey!" Turkey at Cracker? Meh, wasn't excited because I don't think of CB as a turkey place. But WOW... Seriously, folks, some of the best fried turkey I have ever had! It was spiced up right and was hot and flavorful. Sugar Glazed Ham 3 stars - I did not taste the sweetness nor notice any glaze. Ive ordered a few times from Cracker Barrel. About half of the time the staff gets the food order right. In restraunt orders are always right and food is delicious. Carry out is hit or miss even with really good tips. There arent too many places in Corydon to eat, especially breakfast so you have to be forgiving. Just make sure to check your order so you dont have to make 2 trips for carryout. read more

The food is so good it's hard not to love Cracker Barrel. We were driving on I-64 around lunch time and always try to look for a Cracker Barrel when we are on the road. This time it was easy as it was just a few miles away. After a short wait we got seated and a server came over to take our order. We usually like to try something different each time we visit. I looked at the new Campfire meals but, could not find one that looked that good. I would have tried the 1/2 chicken but, opted for the Chicken Fried Chicken. Probably next time I will. The Chicken came smothered in Saw Mill gravy with sides of fried okra, macaroni and fried apples. Everything was served fresh, hot and delicious. My wife enjoyed the Chicken and Dumplings with a side salad that was outstanding. Crisp lettuce and very fresh ingredients. Biscuits and Corn Bread on the side and we were in heaven. Not good is an understatement. Service was poor, it took 1:30 after we were seated to get our food at which point we still hadn't received silverware or the biscuits. The servers brought our silver wear out in a basket for us to sort out for ourselves. Then the food was not good, eggs were cooked to the consistency of rubber, mashed potatoes were served luke warm which is a food safety concern. It is good and clean. It is pretty hard to review chins like Cracker Barrel but this one is one of the mediocre ones I have been to. They have kind staff and the food came out it to quick but not to slow . The other reviews say there service is terrible but I do not agree fully .There grits were outstanding. One down side I am not sure if this is with the other Cracker Barrel's but they have dropped most of there menu and replaced it with a build your own. I am sure they will all go to this eventually but they dropped most of my favorite items. Still thought I would recommend. read more

Was extremely disappointed in food and service. The food is all frozen and then microwaved when ordered. None of my meal was "home cooked" except maybe the muffins which were definitely from a mix. It was not especially busy as there were several empty tables. Had to ask for utensils and waited about 20 minutes before it arrived. Had to ask for butter AND water which took forever to be brought to the table. Overall terrible service and then when we told the server how we wanted the bill split, she asked if we knew who was taking care of the tip. I just about come out of my chair to rudly ask "what tip?" I've always like Cracker Barrel. However, yesterday we went mis afternoon at 2:45. I did notice apon arrival some shift changes happening. PROS: Got in, seated with no wait, greated by put server and had our drinks within a few mins, 2-3 max. Gave a few to look over the menu and we were there maybe 10 mins before getting our order in. Our server was busy, she seemed to have several tables but attentive and polite. I'd say slightly more than normal busy. CONS: it took almost an hour to get our food. My son's pancakes came out missing toppings (strawberries and whip cream). I was missing my pancakes entirely, but had my 2 eggs and 2 sausage patties. I cut the sausage in half and as I took a bite, I made a face of pure disgust. As I chewed this vileness the front of house manager asked how was everything. I told her the sausage was disgusting and tasted fake and I was missing my pancakes. ​She acknowledged me asked if I wanted more, I passed on whatever that sausage stuff was. It tasted fake! Then the manager walked away. We never saw the manager again after that The server as we were leaving looked at my remaining sausage left on the plate and said that looked gross and not right. I can remember when the gravy at Cracker Barrel had more flavor and the biscuits were bigger. It seems that a lot of dining establishments have downscaled the quality and quantity of their offerings. Cracker Barrel isn't alone in their efforts to squeeze more dollars off the plate. This location is as good as any at that particular endeavor. However, the service here is generally good and getting a table isn't an exercise in biblical patience, even on a Sunday, after church, in small town Indiana. The food is still simple and comforting and there are daily specials that rotate depending on the day of the week. And breakfast is still served all day. Can't hate that. read more

This place doesn't mind if someone disabled is loud or rowdy, the people who serve you often are like family and the antiques on the wall are 100% genuine. It may take a moment for your meal to come [around 20 minutes] but amongst the people and the environment you will NEVER run out of things to talk about! LGBT+ accepting with no reluctance despite being in the country, they make your meal the way you dream yourself making it if not better! Refills are often and the food is always warm and they even encourage anyone 8 to 80 to go out on the porch and get in a rocking chair and play chess or checkers, they do not consider loitering. Plenty of parking space and the store has stuff you thought went away 200 years ago or in the 70's if ya wanna relive your childhood! So much variety and the friendly vibe of a small town diner. It's been over a year since I've been to Cracker Barrel or anywhere that doesn't have a drive thru since COVID. They have great hash brown casserole, and a wide variety of foods from which to choose. If you visit early, one can enjoy breakfast by a nice fireplace. They have a nostalgic country store attached and sell rockers on the porch. Nice clean restrooms too. read more
