The coconut shrimp in the Wow Roll was a standout moment. Light, crispy, and perfectly balanced. The warm lobster roll was generous and satisfying! We started with chowder, one Manhattan and one New England- both fantastic. Two appetizers- the fried clam strips and the tuna tartare sushi - another win/win! For the entrees we took one from the specials, a blackened Mahi Mahi with lemon mashed potatoes and green beans which was sublime. For the other we tried a lobster taco that came with a choice of salad or hand cut fries. We went the fry route. They were great. Notes: it's a small place, they do not take reservations so you will wait for a table, however, they will text you when it's ready. They do sell wine or byob - your choice. They have a fish market and their own fishing boats and are proud to serve their own caught fish. This seems to be a local favorite in the Point Pleasant area. Not only has the price gone up but almost 8 or 9 dollars, but she crabs themselves seemed smaller and prepared with too much panko crusting. They used to have big beautiful softshell crabs sitting on ice on the retail side, but I didn't notice any this time. Maybe they just don't have them on hand like they used to and maybe these were frozen. Either way, disappointing considering the large price increase (partly due to this item no longer even being on the "takeout menu"). It's on the dinner menu though. Also, they are now charging a credit card fee. If you're in the area and want fresh seafood, just be mindful of what you're getting. See the latest pictures of the takeout menu that I took. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. With less people to deal with the service was right on point, with several returns to our table to make sure everything was well. I feel you will always have a great meal here.
