Review based on interaction/customer service only. C R gutters came out for a schedule inspection for a drip noise that has me going insane. After inspection they promised an emailed quote with a scope of service that would need to be done based on inspection. Unfortunately, I never received this or heard from them again. About a month later, they accidentally emailed a follow up for a previous inspection they did for another person asking if I'd like to proceed. After they investigate a little more, they realized that my email got bounced back simultaneously informing me they cannot do anything about my dripping noise issue. :/ They were polite in response but definitely felt like this was poor communication and a missed opportunity on their behalf. Great company, referred by 2 contractors and two neighbors that spoke highly of this local family owned business over the years. They helped me with gutter removals prior to our painter doing wood replacements and a complete prime and paint. Came back a few months later to do a complete new install of seamless 6" K gutters, no fussiness and solid service all around. Got all new leaf covers too. An excellent value from a very efficient company. See pics, and efforts to design assist for my gravity fed irrigation system rain barrels too. They helped me in so many ways, highly recommended! This comment is about follow up service for gutters C R Gutters installed. Out initial gutter installation was very good. We recently had our house painted and the painter had to remove the downspouts to do the work. He is not a professional gutter person and was having trouble putting them back up. We called C R Gutters to ask if they could help reinstall our 4 downspouts. We were disappointed that they would not even consider helping us out unless we paid $550 + tax minimum charge. We are thinking this work may take an hour of time at most. This seems excessive to install 4 downspouts that we purchased from them just a couple of years ago. They were not willing to consider an hourly rate for service or any kind of customer discount or senior rate. We were hoping for a more reasonable approach to ongoing customer care. read more

This review is for the services that I never received. I contact them via their website to request an estimate. I was emailed back and asked if I needed to be home or would it be okay if they estimator came by while I was not home. Twice. Twice now, I have said yes, and advised that I have a dog who is normally kept inside the house but, that during the middle of the day, my neighbor will come by and let her out to potty. I stated that if she was in the yard, please knock on the neighbors door and he would put her away while they did the estimate. I have patiently waited since my initial email on 8/30 and no one has come by, I have received no estimate, and no one has bothered my neighbor. I guess this "Family owned and operated" company is too big to need my money. I will be going else where. I really wanted to work with them because one of my friends had great things to say about them. Guess they don't like referrals. Edit- Update: I did receive a phone call from Sue shortly after posting this. She claimed that they had sent me the email on 9/9. I never saw the email and "surprise surprise" when she reads me my email address it is off by 1 letter. Hmm...interesting to me that they didn't follow up with me via phone when the email was rejected because it doesn't exist. There is this nifty little bot called a "Mailer Daemon" that will notify you when an address is rejected. So, they should have known within 24 hours that the email they sent didn't ever arrive...it was rejected. You see, I work in IT and I know how this works. I can accept that my paperwork got lost in the shuffle, a simple apology, and lets move forward...I can't abide being lied to. read more

They originally installed all the gutters on my home 32+ years ago. One had fallen off so they replaced it a few years ago. It also was in the process of falling off and when I called they explained the had them a different way to hand them. They were aware of the long nails pulling out of the wood. I called and they missed two appointments and on the 3rd the couldn't install. They had asked how many feet were needed at the time of my initial. I said 50. They ordered the aluminum and did not allow much extra so they couldn't install, had to take back what had been formed and get more and come back again. Then another couple of days delay. They charged me for down downspout connections. This was never explained over the phone. Had to go back & forth on the billing amount until we agreed on the amount. We'll see how the new gutter works. There had been a problem with the slope not allowing water to drain. He said he'd fix that. The next week will tell. read more

Never received the promised email of the estimate, should have been my first warning. Made an appointment, waited the entire day for the guy to show up at 4:00pm. Doesn't have enough material to do half the job. The last straw for me, never will use this company again. The call specialist/receptionist are incompetent. I had to call and confirm this job 4 times before they decided that I was "actually" confirming this job. Spoke to a receptionist on the phone after the installer left because he didn't have the materials to do the job. She didn't even offer an apology, just said "Ok", and silence. CR Gutters came out and replaced our old gutters and they did a wonderful job - the house looks better, the gutters look great with clean lines, and we've seen that they work well in heavy rains. We know they faced a particular challenge with our house as our old gutters were tough to remove and took far more labor than anticipated. Because of that we had one minor issue after the job was done and their owners quickly attended to it and showed outstanding customer service, great responsiveness, and a true pride in doing the job well and ensuring high quality. I had C & R Gutters do a corner of my house and 1/2 of my shed . They were prompt on calling to schedule a time to come and give me an estimate . It wasn't a big job at all . I fell under the minimum purchase of $250.00 . So for me to have them do the job I had to pay 250$ . They came out and did the job in about 1/2 hour . Paid them cash . I didn't receive a receipt nor did they tell me they were done and just left . After inspection of the gutters one was bent on the back side . It was sticking inwards almost to the point the water would run down the backside and not into the gutter. Since they were gone I fixed it . A little bending and a screw it was fixed . And since I was up there I fixed the flashing they messed up to . It was pulled off and hanging . Not a big deal . Just would have been nice to show me what they had done and to make sure it was to my standards . read more

Had to call 3 times before I finally got a call back, which I missed. Never tried again. Just got a bill in the mail when my card was charged the day of the service! I can't speak for the negative reviews posted. I had a great experience with this company. Got bids from 3 other companies and went with CR Gutters because of price and ease of scheduling. There was a hiccup with the crew's cleanup (I understand this was a new team that did not live up to the required standards). The branch manager went totally out of her way to make everything right. They sent a long time employee with a pressure washer the next day and checked back with me to see if I was happy. This is a stand up company and I would quickly recommend them. When I had my roof replaced on my home a few years back my roofer suggested CR for the new gutters. They came and did a fine job. Skip ahead 7 years or so and I need to have gutter work done at my business, a BIG gutter job. In addition, the same roofer will be replacing the roof on another house of mine this summer and the gutters there will need replacement too. I couldn't remember their name so I called the roofer and he reminded me it was CR. (I am extremely loyal to contractors who do good work for me). I called CR a week ago Thursday for an estimate on the business gutters. The receptionist told me that their estimator would be out to the site within three days. No problem I said. Three days came and went, no show/no call from the estimator. I called again on Tuesday. The receptionist was baffled. She called the estimator who told her that he didn't receive the e-mail. She was very apologetic and said that he would be out on Thursday. No problem, mistakes happen I said. It's now Friday, and again, no show/no call. Now I'm baffled; good work in the past and my roofer is still referring them. So I decide to look at Yelp to see what others have to say and, low and behold, I'm not the only one having problems with service from CR. It's really too bad. If my past experience wasn't a fluke they were once a great company that's lost their focus. But if I can't even get the estimator to come out or call, how can I have confidence that the work will get done properly, if at all? So much for loyalty. I guess I'll be looking for gutter work elsewhere. And letting my roofer know about my experience with his referral. read more

Not a customer, but have a house next to a customer. Gutter crew blocked half the street, then they blocked my driveway with a gutter they were working on. Since I had to leave my house, I asked them to move the gutter so I could leave. Their response, and I quote, was to just told me to "Get the f**k out of here." I made an appointment two weeks ago to have gutters put on my house. Was told that July 27th was the earliest that they could do the work. On the 26th of July I called to confirm my appointment and was told that the work would definately be completed. I waited all day and no one showed up. I did not even get a phone call to tell me of the delay or that no one was going to show up. I took the day off and waited for nothing. I am very frustrated by this. I called and left a message because they are now closed. I do not recommend this company to do your work if you need gutters put on. read more

CR installed a full set of new gutters on our 2 story home w/garage in 2002. There was an initial problem at that time with drainage from a 2nd floor gutter that took longer than it should have to correct. A first floor gutter has now developed a leak in one of the corner joints. Unfortunately it seems the lifetime warranty on materials does not include the sealant that keeps this joint from leaking. Minimum fee for repair is $250. That's approaching 30% of the cost of the entire original job. Not going to happen CR! Sorry to report you can put me down as a dissatisfied customer. read more

Just had a deck gutter installed 2 days ago. Had to request them to come back the next day as the gutter didn't drain at all, just caught in the middle full to the rim. They came by tonight & made some adjustments. Drains better, but not like it should. Disconnected down spout & left the bracket dangling. Also left a screw in the gutter & didn't bother to run the hose in it (obviously didn't last time either) before they left. We didn't even know they were gone as they didn't let us know. If they weren't in such a hurry, there wouldn't have been a return trip required. Disappointed overall. read more

I called them and was told each time there was a "family emergency". It was three weeks out from the time we made the initial call to even get the appointment to have the gutters installed so we were without gutters for five weeks because of these dummies, not to mention waiting around all day for these jokers to show up. I was referred to CR Gutters from my Nextdoor neighbors. They came out and gave me a few options (repair, replace, or replace with screens). We opted for a repair because we are doing an addition soon and would need to replace those pieces. Here is the really amazing part: I read the bid wrong...I thought the repair was one price, but it was a completely difference price. I was nauseous! I couldn't spend that much on a repair!~ I should have replaced at that price!!! When I called the company to explain how I screwed up, the owner of the company called back himself. He apologized for the confusion. His staff should have double checked the price I was agreeing to before doing the work. He made it right! He saved my butt, and legally could have charged me what I signed up for, but he was a geniunely kind, moral guy. When does a business lose over $1000 like that because they are good people?! Working with CR Gutter Inc. was a great experience for my wife and I. After checking them out on the web and comparing them with others, as to location, price, quality of products used, we gave them a call. within two days they responded with their representatives to visit our home. He was professionally dressed, very friendly as well as knowledgeable. We talked with him about a number of areas that we had difficult drainage problems. He discussed solutions that we are very hopeful will work. We signed a contract to get our name on a long waiting list. Prior, to new gutter installation, we removed old gutters so necessary repairs to our property could be complete by exterior painting contractor (Tim Taylor TRT painting & remodel LLC). When repairs and painting were completed we had CR Gutters Inc. come in and finish the install of our new 6 " Kline Gutters. They were efficient and completed the job in a VERY reasonable amount of time during a rain storm. CR Gutters was there when we needed them most. Recently, we replaced a roof to address a leaky area around a glass Sky Wall, with the hopes of solving the issue. In short, the area continued to leak and became a ongoing problem. We had the window and roofing folks out to look and they believed it to be the gutters. At the recommendation of the roofing folks, we called CR Gutters. We are thankful that we did. Not only did they come on site to review, but proposed a solution that would eventually address the problem area. It was not an easy task, as all parties (roofing, windows & gutters) needed to participate. Scott P. and his team are experienced, professional and more importantly timely. I called CR Gutters and made a appt for a estimate and they showed up when they said they would .I had a few things I wanted done specifically with some of my down spouts since I had some changes done to my roof. He also help me match color of the roof with gutters .We set a day for the work to be done. They showed up on the day we scheduled. When I returned home from work, I walked around and inspected the gutters and all the changes I wanted done with down spouts from the old ones. Everything was done perfect. I was very happy.Two of my friends have already seen my gutters and have contacted them for theirs also. I would recommend this company. read more

A new awning system was installed at our residence last fall. Sadly the installers did not consider the need for flashing and a rain gutter system that should have been installed before the awning was attached to the house. Unfortunately this after the fact backwards approach to installing a rain gutter system has caused more issues. The rain gutter work has been faulty at best. There are gaps between gutter sections which is causing constant leaks (not aligned to each other) and one of the downspouts was put in improperly (into a sprinkler head drain), plus other sections were not properly set for drainage. This failure has caused considerable flooding in the patio area. Both the installers and the gutter company claimed no responsibility and told the homeowners they would need to contact a landscaping company to correct the downspout issues. At a considerable cost to the homeowner, another company was called in to correct the drainage and flooding issues. As the homeowner does not have any faith in this gutter company, another company will now have to be called in to correct the improper placement and sealing of the gutters. We would not recommend this company and would suggest researching other companies to complete job work. read more

If you choose to use this provider, hold on to your paperwork like grim death because they won't. That's just the beginning of the disappointment in store if you role the dice with your home and money here. I picked this company because it was owned by a woman and they seemed cheaper. Cheap is right. I asked for leaf guards and I got "gutter guards". This tacky aluminum clip on system partially flew off at the first sign of strong weather and littered our neighbors yard as well as the woods behind our home. The first gutter that fell off, I couldn't find our receipt and I could recall the company that I called...my bad. I called Jorve and they handled the front gutter and gave me a lifetime guarantee. After the second piece of gutter fell off the house I found something that help me recall the company , called, they couldn't find my paperwork, but I came home one day and they had come over and repaired the second fallen gutter. Today for the third time another piece of gutter is coming away from our house. I called, they can't find record of me, again. While I believe they made every effort to find record of work for us, I think the substandard product and craftsmanship is enough to keep you away from this "cheap" gutter provider. Call Jorve, they are a roofing company but they standby their work and it shows. A lesson that as a homeowner I have confirmed again and again...do it right the first time.
