I scheduled it over 4 weeks ahead of time (paying cash upfront for the entire job), as we were on a schedule for selling and moving. The day of service, they cancelled my installation with no real explanation or heads up. They then took over 3 days to even get my carpet installed. They even "forgot" to complete an entire section of the carpet as they "couldn't find the carpet" for that area. While calling to get an explanation and timeframe for installation, the staff were INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. The installation was a nightmare. After paying an extra $50 per room for my furniture to be moved, much of the furniture and items were never put back. My personal items were randomly tossed throughout my house and damage was noted on walls, window sills, window treatments, and doors. The installation team also broke one of my beds. I felt victimized in my own home. After attempting to discuss this with personnel in the store, instead of offering a partial refund or even apology, the only resolution was to give me $200 in store credit. I politely declined as I have no intention of ever working with this company in the future. There are a variety of carpet stores with professional installers within this city. I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere the prevent this type of headache within your life.

Our poor late…read morecat had basically destroyed the old laminate floors in our living room, and even prior to that, we had hated the cheap look of those floors, so we searched reviews for the best flooring companies in Fort Wayne to tear them up and replace them with laminate. Michael's had excellent reviews on other websites, and when we consulted them in store, we were met with friendly assistance and advice for the kind of flooring we needed. We were able to quickly schedule an in-home estimate, and after doing the same with another local company, we went with Michael's since their price was fair, the flooring materials were what we wanted, and a reasonable timetable for installation was given. The tearup of the old floor was a pain since it was simply glued to the concrete, but the workers were very fast and efficient, completing that arduous job in just one day. They worked around our schedule, giving us time to put down odor-reducing primer.The installation of the new flooring was even faster--just over 2 hours the next day. We were blown away with how quickly the job was completed, and clearly quality was not sacrificed in any way. We are so pleased with our new flooring, and highly recommend Michael's to anyone in and around Fort Wayne!
