I am a registered nurse. I decided to take ACLS because we infuse patients at my facility with some serious medications and I want to be prepared in case of infusion reaction and/or emergency situations. I took my first ACLS class 2 years ago at a different facility. The instructor I had was new to teaching, which was very obvious. His supervisor later stepped in to help, since I was just not getting the material. Needless to say, he didn't help. Just kept shouting the information and yelling for me to shout it back, stating "repetition is key". True, if you just want to pass the test, which was obviously his goal for me. Being the nerd I am and having the knowledge I may need to actually use these skills some day, I actually wanted to LEARN the information, not just pass a test (silly me). I left there with a passing grade, but felt I learned nothing and had fear and anxiety about renewal time. Well, I just renewed my ACLS over the weekend. I decided to try CPR123. I met my instructor, Tommy, who seriously changed my life! He started by asking my background, which was nice. It provided me an opportunity to express my anxiety and previous experience with ACLS classes. He immediately reassured me he was there for ME and didn't care how long it took. He would stay until I understood the material and felt comfortable. Well, turns out I didn't really need extra time, just the right instructor. To say he was excellent is an understatement! I got a 78% on my pretest. I left there with a 92% on my actual test, and just retook the pretest (out of curiousity) and got a 98%! More importantly, I didn't just remember the material for a test, I actually understand it now and feel confident in my abilities to perform the skills I learned in an emergency situation. He has alot of real life experience and shared some stories that really helped apply the material to real life situations. He was friendly, clear, and concise and made me feel completely at ease. I left there with a smile on my face instead of in tears like I did the first time. I recommend this class and instructor to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much Tommy! Hope to see you again in 2 years! read more

Id give 10 stars if I could! I recently took my ACLS at this location with the instructor Mr Thomas Cappiello, one world Priceless! I am a fairly new RN and have had no prior EKG experience or education and Mr Cappiello was able to not only explain but enabled me to retain and really learn the material which I didn't think id be able to as when I was reviewing prior to the class I gave up. The pretest and book were very intimidating to me and I gave up, I still went to the class though sense I had already paid. He was very thorough, but broke it down to a simple level and walked us through each step. The interactive modules were amazing. I believe that anyone can succeed in his classes. I will definitely be taking all my other certifications and recertification's at this location, it was defiantly worth the travel from eastern long island. As I have used another company in the past and didn't really learn much. I can confidently say if in a emergency situation id feel confident in utilizing my new skills I obtained here at the Huntington NY CPR123 location! read more

Not going to lie I was EXTREMELY nervous to take this class. I had heard ACLS was very hard and I was nervous as a newbie that I wouldn't be able to keep up. That being said, whether you are a newbie (like me) or a seasoned pro I HIGHLY recommend taking your certification or re-certification at CPR123. I took mine in Huntington and had Thomas C. as my instructor and he was AMAZING. This is such a difficult and complex construct but he is so good at articulating it to his students and really making sure that they are understanding the material. He has got your back! I will definitely be taking all my re-certifications and possible future certifications with Thomas and the staff at CPR123 in Huntington! read more

This was by far the best ACLS class I've ever taken. Tom made me feel like I was the only student in the class and catered his instruction around my learning needs. He was knowledgeable , experienced and well prepared. I would only caution future students at this location about the Chinese food across the street. Great location, on-site parking, awesome audiovisuals and Tom made for a wonderful day of ACLS. Thank you! read more
