The certification Center was amazing I signed up to take an IV certification class and I was so nervous about trying to understand IVs. Space I learned so much the staff Diesel and Chris were amazing. They were very helpful and patient. Be instructor Chris was very knowledgeable about every aspect of placing IDs the information around using IV I felt like I learned so much being there we had hands on practice and he was able to sit with us as much time as we needed to till we felt comfortable and confident in the skill I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants to learn IBC or even these to just sharpen their skills it is definitely a place you could definitely look into I'm so glad that I found this place and I will definitely go back again if I need to. read more

I am starting a new job and need my BLS renewed. My job told me I need to get it done before I start my job which is a few days away and I was panicking! This place was walking distance from 7train and the staff was very flexible. I called in for inquiry and managed to get attend the course for 11am the next day and got printed copies of my certification card right after my course. I really appreciate how flexible the staff where and my instructors was very friendly, she was talking to me and keeping me company before the class started since I got there earlier. Just make sure you bring a copy of your previous certification card with you when you go for an renewal because they will need a copy of that and there is no wifi. read more

Come to this place for all your certification needs! Deirdre is very professional and accommodating. I dreaded coming for recertification for my BLS but she made it a very pleasant experience. She was very instructive and friendly and was able to take me same day. read more

This center had given me a wonderful experience as I did my training. The last time I did my bls was in 2015, but I lost my card so I had to redo everything. They had been very patient and understanding all throughout the process. The lady that helped me who i believed to be the sister of the owner was very accommodating and helpful too. She was kind enough to assist me in everything that I needed to know about the trainings and stuff. The place was very clean and neat. On top of that, they have free candies and water. So, yeah I am definitely coming back for my acls! read more

I used to come here while I was in nursing school to take all my classes/cpr certifications many many years ago...Then by the time I had to recertify I opted to go to places closer to home in Long Island because it seemed easier. Now as I recertify for the 2nd/3rd time, I find myself trekking back to Flushing, Queens to do my PALS/ACLS/BLS because they are so helpful here and honestly, as dry as this material can get sometimes, the instructor Perry makes it so much more tolerable. Deidre, I believe thats her name, is the nice lady always at the front desk and she's always so helpful and she gives you the sense that they sincerely want you to succeed in their courses, and to learn something from them that you can take into your medical practice. Highly recommend coming here! read more

This place is great for clinicians looking to get certifications for BCLS, ACLS, and other stuff. The course instructor Peri did a Fantastic job in teaching the group about the importance and relevance of the BCLS/ACLS protocols and how to navigate through it according to each situation you encounter. The course instructor also did a great job introducing up to date and relevant practices/examples that are changing the way healthcare providers practice BCLS/ACLS. Staff are very friendly and greet you with a warm smile and are attentive to your needs. All in all, I had a great time learning through this center. The experience was fun, and the atmosphere provided for a great way to learn. read more

This was a great experience and as promised by the instructor, stress free! I have the option to get these classes at the hospital that I work but decided to try the classes here and it was 100% the better experience. The instructor was awesome! The front desk is so friendly and sweet. They want you to do well and they don't waist your time! Highly recommend to anyone looking to recertify! read more

I took the First Aid/CPR training course here. The facility was clean and complete. Deirdre was a great instructor and answered all of my questions. By the time the class was over, they had all the paperwork (certificate with extra copies, book, etc.) ready to go. Super convenient and inexpensive compared to other centers I checked. read more

This place is great. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. They have updated videos and have all the materials you need to practice along with the video. They are very organize and you receive a very nice packet with your certification card, certificate, receipt and copies of everything. Definitely recommend! It was my first time at the Certification Review Center for my BCLS certification and I will be coming back soon. Deirdre is an excellent instructor, she had the latest BCLS videos up to date, class was informative and at the end of class you get a packet with your card and updated BCLS information. I needed my CPR certification renewed STAT in order to register for my nursing school clinical. I live over in Thornwood, ny and I couldn't find any places that offered CPR training the same day and my days off from work are pretty hard to come by. Fortunately, my friend told me about The Certification Center. I looked on their website and found out they were offering a class that day. I drove over (took about 40 minutes. traffic wasn't bad) and they got me all set up in a class right away! read more

I had a wonderful experience renewing my bls here. Received a folder with copies of my card and a certificate as well as notes to refresh myself with in the future. I never had this special treatment before in my experiences with bls classes. Deidre is the best! I spoke to Larry over the phone to sort things out, and I was very pleased with the customer service he provided. Larry was extremely flexible with my needs for coursework and was able to find a spot for me in their classes. Tell them your plan for certification and Larry will definitely find a solution that works for you. The place had multiple classrooms and all the equipment necessary for my learning needs. My instructors, Lisa and Glen, were fun, interactive, and engaging teachers. I felt well prepared after my sessions were complete and I'm glad to make the trek out here to do it. As a current student, I feel it's important to share some concerns about the way this school treats…read moreits students. Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.

This place is amazing!! I had done research on several other places before deciding to take the BCLS course here. Every other place I had called had me leaving messages or giving me a run around. I was getting very frustrated!I I called the certification center and knew right away this was the place to go. They were so accommodating, friendly, and helpful that I took the class the very next day. The instructor Deirdre was absolutely the best. She made me feel so comfortable the minute I walked through the door. Very knowledgeable and professional. She also is very patient and kind. The course is very informative and they have the up to date video that is used for the AHA. At the end of the course I received a folder with my certification and card. I would highly recommend anyone to go there for certification! I will be back in 2 years to recertify!! read more

As a travel nurse (and as a permanent employee in a hospital) I've taken my certification, and recertification, for BLS,ACLS and PALS at "The Certification Center", numerous times, since 2007. They have very knowledgable, informed instructors, who always offer updated and most current practice of life support measures and practices, in the field and in the hospital setting. They have a large calendar, with courses I have always been able to take, especially to meet a deadline, quickly. You will also receive your card, the same day. I am, once again, planning to take, yet another course with them, for my recertification of BLS and ACLS. read more

I took my ACLS at the Certification Center, and was pleasantly surprised! I was not bored because the instructor Perry was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, and passionate about the subject matter. As a result, I learned a lot, and I feel I can take what I learned and incorporate it into nursing practice. The receptionist Dierdre we also very pleasant, and accommodating. She made sure myself and others were comfortable and prepared. I plan to return for future certifications, and I would recommend this course and other certifications for everyone. read more

The Certification Center took care of any and all my concerns regarding my BLS renewal. Accommodations were outstanding and the staff was welcoming and gracious beyond belief. This renewal was time sensitive and even with short notice, the Certification Center was able to get me in and assured me that the necessary steps would be taken to have my renewal in time for my new job. The woman who works there with an big attitude just like a depression patient who needs to see a psychiatrist, yelling to customers, we don't want to waste our money with her, there are many places that I can spend my money, but I don't want spend my money and see her attitude.
