The 2 hours whizzed by, and Jessie was really friendly and great and giving and showing instructions. She was also very patient with students' questions. The ornaments ended up being so cute from everyone, we were all thoroughly impressed by everyone's work. A lot of us, including me, didn't finish the entire project during class, so we got to take home the supplies we'd need to finish at home. Jessie made sure we had the supplies and knowledge/skills so that we'd succeed at home with finishing up. The studio is nice and cozy, there were about 16 participants of mixed genders and ages. It was really fun, and we can't wait to try more classes!

I didn't realize just how much of a good time I'd had until I was describing my class to a coworker a few days later. Learning about and reveling in the embarrassment of mistake making was interesting enough, recounting lessons learned and being encouraged to tackle MORE mistakes head on with other mistake-happy students was quite unforgettable. The school takes your money and on day one of the class you are unable to withdraw without losing it. The workload is extremely intense and most business professors are not interested in helping the students. There are many technical requirements that are not posted in advance and you are left on your own struggling to figure it all out. I have found that many professors are highly unorganized, unable to spend time helping and don't take the time to learn the course they are teaching or learn English/proper grammar. Currently, I am taking a Statistics class. I just spent 8.5 hours completing the first test had a technical error and failed to count all my answers. Instead of reviewing my test and the answers, my lazy professor's response was "Just take it again." Sure, I have another 8.5 hours to redo this! Thanks for nothing. Also, the technical requirements for this homework are incompatible with my computer's software. I am 6 classes away from graduating and fear this is the end of my road here. Very depressed. I have been interviewed by large companies for entry level positions in customer service/business development nobody judged my worth based on the degree. Most of the professors are good. They also have virtual extra curricular activities which allows you to make connections and network. The bad: I did not receive adequate preparation for an actual job in the media industry. I did do a journalism internship, but the school did not focus enough on teaching students to use specific styles of writing. The career center should be more familiar with what types of jobs alumni end up taking. The financial aid department needs to be on top of their game. Suggestions for the school: The curriculum would have been more useful if we had classes on topics such as a 3 credit course on SEO (instead of one week unit within a course) or a 9 credit concentration on web design with at least one or two coding courses instead of a 3 credit course that barely scratches the surface. Spend more time developing an alumni network and make sure career services and financial aid are on top of their game.

Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!
