He started to get rude, saying that I "don't see how he's trying to rectify the situation. He's a physician assistant and been doing this for 18years." He said he was currently in a class- but how are you currently in a class when i called you while in front of the school door and you told me I'd have to come back Tuesday? Then when I said that he said I can come back today at 3. I tried to explain to him his yelp reviews are all complaining about his lack of consideration for others people's time. He hung up on the phone. Too much back and forth about when I would be able to take my class. After it while it became sketchy and redundant. Don't even waste your time or money. I had taken these classes in 2001 for work purposes, and on that same year, I ended up saving my son who was chocking on french fries at home. This time, I took them, because I wanted to be updated in the skills and I really wanted my boys to know this as well. It was my first classes with my sons and I had the greatest time. Mr. Jinx the instructor was Amazing ! ... I could not ask for anything better. When he spoke, we were able to understand all the material, he was great at grabbing my son's attention. We really enjoyed the classes, when we left, my sons were saying this class was Awesome ! How lucky I am! my children really love to learn new things ! ;) Now, I have peace in my mind, knowing that me and my sons, will know what to do if someone is injured.

Being a yoga teacher with pre/post natal experience I went into their classes already very knowledgeable so they weren't as informative as I would have liked but I think they are probably life saving for people who don't care to/don't have the time to do their own learning and research. Birth day presence and boober provide not only child birth and newborn care classes, but match clients with (and train) doulas, lactation consultants etc Most importantly though, and I got this sense from the beginning but really felt it after talking to Jada, they genuinely care about providing quality information and services to new families. They also understand that the birthing industry (because it is an industry) is far from perfect and they want to empower families and help them navigate it. I feel very grateful to Jada and Birth Day Presence and although I originally walked away feeling there was more to be desired I now feel like I couldn't recommend them more to anyone seeking childbirth/childcare education or training. Oh, and all their classes are conveniently online now due to covid.

We came here with an open mind and hoping to learn the important basics of childbirth. Needless to say, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We didn't feel prepared and we were hoping this class would make us feel more comfortable of what's to come. The classes we chose were on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm. Jen Buice was our instructor and she was very informative and knew her stuff. We also got to mingle with other couples who were due at around the same time as us. We got to share our experiences with each other, which I think my husband and I wouldn't have gotten a chance to do otherwise if it wasn't for this class. We watched some childbirth videos, learned about different stages of labor, pain management, labor exercises with and without the ball, a little about lactation, etc. We also went around the room and did some activities so it could be more interactive and social. Bring some snacks because the classes might seem a little long at times! We did get a short lunch break. One slight complaint I have is that I got a little antsy and didn't feel that comfortable with their seating arrangements. I felt a little claustrophobic. Overall, I think we feel better and a little bit more prepared about being parents. I would recommend this class if you have a chance to take it. It's located in a beautiful part of Park Slope in a beautiful brownstone. Price is a little steep at $395 but I think it's worth it. You can't put a price on your future bundle of joy.

Marisol, Benny, and Ze are the best instructors while Patrick Meyers is not so good. Instructor Patrick Meyers who is new to B&H the last two days has not been able to get fully through the complete chapters on time. Patrick has shown a little disrespect towards me while showing his dislike of me by disregarding my comment when he asked what some kinds of airway obstructions and I listed Hyperoxia, and he never acknowledged my comment to confirm or deny if that was one but he did acknowledge everyone else's response. Later in the day, when discussing airway assistive devices, I asked if NPA's are required to be sterile, and Patrick chose to address two other students' questions first when I asked my question before everyone else. Regardless if he likes me or not Is moot because I really don't care enough about his petty behavior. Some other issues I have are the lack of organization during class, there are 31 students in this class, and when answering or asking questions, students are over-talking one another because they are not raising their hand, and it's very distracting while showing a lack of regard for classroom etiquette. As per the course schedule for this class, we were supposed to have our first quiz on chapters one through 5 today, but because other students are not prepared and don't have the materials, the students who are prepared, like myself have to pay the price, and now we will have two quizzes on Monday instead of one which is not fair at all. B&H and its EMT course need some restructuring regarding testing procedures and communication adjustments. I sent an e-mail on Tuesday August 12th a day after the first day of class and I had requested promises to be swapped out of this accelerated EMT program and into the non-accelerated program that starts in October after realizing that between work, attending college and attending this class Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 5:00 I'm having a hard time finding study time and am struggling to retain and process some of the information as a result of that. I have not received an email from B&H in almost 48 hours, and there is nothing in the contract that I signed regarding the payment of the program that says I can be switched to another program or cannot. It is often very hard to get a hold of anyone from this office, whether you're calling them or sending an email, and I am not the first person to say this. Despite these minor operations and testing issues, which are fixable, B&H is one of the best training locations to take your EMT Original Course in NYC!
