Nataliya Prokosheva, who oversees the department, demonstrated a lack of effective leadership and people-management skills. During my time at the company, I frequently experienced unprofessional behavior, including being spoken to in a disrespectful manner, public criticism, raised voices, personal remarks, and what felt like workplace bullying. Rather than creating a supportive environment where employees could learn and grow, the management approach often felt intimidating and demoralizing. Constructive feedback is important in any workplace, but there is a clear difference between professional guidance and personal attacks. For a company that strives to maintain professional standards, this type of behavior should not be considered acceptable. I believe many employees would be able to perform at a much higher level under stronger, more respectful, and professional management within the Bookkeeping department. That being said, my criticism is directed specifically at Nataliya Prokosheva and her management style within the Bookkeeping department, not at the company as a whole. Although I did not have the opportunity to work directly with the owner of the company, my overall impression of him is positive. Based on the way the company operates and the feedback I heard from both employees and clients, he appears to be a professional and responsible business owner. I also had the opportunity to work with many talented, friendly, and hardworking colleagues who made the workplace enjoyable despite the challenges. OG Tax and Accounting has a strong team and significant potential for continued success. I was looking for a new accountant because my old accountant reported duplicated capital gains from 1099B and K-1 from the year prior and I got married, so I am filing married jointly. Will and his team are knowledgeable about the tax code and reviewed the documents with me before submitting my return. The most convenient thing is that they have an online portal for uploading documents, so I did not have to print pages and pages of 1099s, K-1s, W-2s. What a terrible and unprofessional experience I had with accountant Bill Katchen. I was looking for…read morean accountant to help me with my 2025 tax return. Beware, in all my years, I just assumed a CPA would do the right thing and treat me with respect. What I got was a person who did not tell me what his fee was, and he refused to answer my endless calls and e-mails. I should have known when I saw the mountain of papers stacked in Mr Katchen's office that his business was a mess. A few day after I provided Katchen with my paperwork, he let me know that he had filed an extension with the IRS without asking me first? He then refused to process my tax return until he had my check and waited for it to clear? Wow? So, I went to the post office and right away mailed my check to Katchen with registered mail, signature required. I did not care about the $11, but that still did not get Katchen to process my tax return. Finally, for 2 weeks, I have called and e-mailed Katchen asking him to send me the electronic returns, but again, he has refused. I am filing this complaint to be sure that my negative, unprofessional experience with Katchen is on the record.
