Basit has been a pleasure to work with on my taxes. I have a modest sized real estate rental portfolio and it wasn't easy finding a tax professional who knew the nuance of the codes/options that could be advantageously employed and was also responsive + proactive in making suggestions for both professional references (great 1031 connection) and strategy. He's a whiz at math, personable, and candid. He's also a real estate investor himself which instills an even greater confidence that he's suggesting the most up to date and helpful advice. I highly recommend him! read more

Unfortunately, after what I thought was a great partnership, I got scammed. Wouldn't expect this from a CPA, but it did happed (contact for proof). Please be careful. read more

Basit is fantastic. I was completely lost with my personal taxes, especially with how to handle my short-term rental property. He knew exactly what to do about pro-rating expenses and depreciation, and laid out a clear plan that has saved me thousands! If you have a rental property, you need to call him. He's the best. read more

This past year was my first year working with Basit and his firm. Basit is really knowledgeable about real estate. If you are a real estate investor, ask your CPA about cost segregation studies, bonus depreciation, and the de minimis safe harbor. If your CPA doesn't intimately know all these strategies and rules, it's time to switch your CPA. Thanks Basit. Look forward to next year. read more

We reached out to Basit after finding his information and knowledgeable posts on Bigger Pockets and are beyond pleased with his deep understanding of tax rules, especially related to short-term rentals and investing, and his quick action for our particular needs. We had a poor experience with another CPA and Basit was able to quickly understand exactly our situation and work with us, providing us just what we needed without overselling services like some other agencies do. His rates are highly competitive and we are so glad that we have found him! Highly recommended! read more

I will literally never use anyone else to help me with my tax planning again. Like many others, I found Basit through the BiggerPockets forums. I am so glad I reached out to him. He has gone above and beyond to help make sense of my tax situation involving a prolonged multifamily rehab turned house hack turned long term rental. I am continually impressed by the depth and breadth of his up-to-date tax law expertise. He is able to communicate clearly with me different strategies and how they will affect my tax outcome. I look forward to working with Basit for years to come! read more

Basit is a fantastic CPA. We've been working together for a few years, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Basit helps file my taxes for my W2 income, Amazon FBA business, my brokerage accounts, rental properties and K-1s in multiple states. My taxes aren't straightforward, but Basit makes it seem like they are! I value his advice and expertise throughout the year, as we go through changes in our situation. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Basit as your CPA. read more

I found Basit on BiggerPockets after purchasing my first out-of-state rental SFH several years ago now. My plans were to annually make a move with my real estate portfolio, diversifying property types and engagements. Basit is extremely knowledgeable with both tax and real estate laws and has made tax season "keyturn" for me. All of our interactions have been remote and very straightforward. I highly recommend Basit to anybody looking for a CPA, especially with an emphasis on real estate. read more

Basit is extremely knowledgeable, with excellent attention to detail. I am grateful to have found a CPA I can really trust with my taxes. Basit used his expertise to set me up for success not only with my taxes, but with his advice for my real estate and other concerns. 5 out of 5! read more

Very helpful and thorough. Will answer questions and give feedback throughout the year not just on tax season. Good value for devices

AVOID SADDIQI! I Don't recommend at all. Saddiqi was unable to answer the majority of my Tax questions and charges over $750 and adds a bunch is frivolous random fees to your tax prep. I think all these reviews are fake & written by his friends. Low quality & poor communication read more

Highly recommended CPA especially for real estate professionals! Thank you Basit and staff!

I've been working with Basit for the last few years. I had some challenging issues and he helped me resolve them with patience.

I started working with Basit 2 weeks prior to the 2023 tax filing deadline and he was quick to look through all my documents, has excellent systems in place to be able to do complicated tax filings quickly, setup a call to review everything in detail and I was super happy to receive tax refunds. His fees are very reasonable and has also provided excellent guidance on tax implication with real estate matters - 1031 exchange, cost segregation, etc. Highly recommend! read more

I am a real estate investor with a small portfolio. Basit has been doing my taxes for a few years now and I recommend him highly. He went above and beyond for me recently. I needed his help during a refinance on one of my properties because the lender needed my return from the IRS for income verification. Unfortunately, the IRS is way behind on processing returns and I almost missed the window to refinance and keep my rate as the rates were going up. Basit communicated with the lender directly, certified that I was being truthful about income, and explained the IRS situation to their satisfaction, allowing me to close on my loan in a timely manner. Without him assisting in the loan process, I would have sold the property. read more

Basit is very knowledgeable, professional and detail oriented, which are all the highly sought-after traits for a CPA. We have used Basit to prepare our tax returns, which can get quite complex because we own properties across multiple states and have partnerships with other real estate investors. He has done a fantastic job and saved us a lot of tax dollars. In addition, we would consult him on many tax issues throughout the year, and he is always very patient in answering our questions. Because he is real estate investor himself, he understands where we are coming from. I would highly recommend Basit to anyone who needs a CPA. read more

Basit has helped us with our business and personal returns over the last few years, and has done an excellent job in providing tax mitigation strategies, informational advice on how to structure our returns, and also some real estate related knowledge as he is also an investor. Great accountant & very knowledgeable about my business return. He answers phone & all questions. Excellent I highly recommend!

This was the first year Basit did my personal & real estate business taxes and I was really impressed with his knowledge, proactive attitude and follow up. The IRS imposed a penalty for delaying to file my business taxes; Basit immediately got on the phone and managed to get them to forgive the fee. I am also a real estate investor venturing into the Opportunity Zone/Qualified Opportunity Fund area and the process has been overwhelming. Basit's expertise and guidance in the area has given me a peace of mind. He has already committed to help me throughout the year as I continue to invest in the Opportunity Zones. I foresee a long lasting partnership with him. read more

Basit has been great to work with. His communication is top notch, very detail oriented and responsive to questions or concerns. He helped to analyze that it'd be worthwhile to file separate to reduce our total tax owed, took time to call the IRS on notices that we had received and was willing to take the time to show that our situation may benefit by having an S-corp. I would highly recommend using Basit as your CPA read more

This is my second year working with Basit and I couldn't be happier. Basit is knowledgeable and up-to-date with the ever changing tax code, and makes sure to relay this information to his clients in a digestible manner. He helps me with both personal and business tax returns, and ensures that I'm set up in the most efficient structure which is specifically tailored to my needs, helping me save tax dollars. He's also proactive in furthering my real estate business, updating me on any developments in the tax code and suggesting ways for me to benefit from them (e.g. how to position myself with qualified opportunity zones), and even referring me to several people within his network to connect. Most importantly, he asks several contextual questions before offering a solution or plan of action, showing that he actually cares about his clients and isn't just trying to move on to the next job. read more
