Last year, the work was slow, taking about 2 months to complete my return, but the work seemed ok. I decided to try them again this year and could not be more disappointed. The assistant is helpful and responsive but that is the only positive. I had to call multiple times to follow up on my return which took over 2 months to complete and had many errors. I had no communication with the accountant who prepared my returns after submitting documents online. He asked me no questions. Mistakes ranged from getting my name wrong to filing the incorrect status to saying I owed an amount that was actually a refund. I was given an explanation that it is very busy. Yes, it is tax season. I would recommend not taking on more clients than you can effectively service. I will not be returning.

After I mentioned living abroad, a question that they failed to ask and I had to mention. They at first said the estimated quote might be even higher than the current $800 quote for a W2 and a 1099-K! After days of waiting they emailed me back saying that "We are not going to be able to help you" AFTER they've TAKEN ALL of my personal and deeply sensitive information. This was confusing, as it is the first time I've ever been denied service by a business; without any explanation no less! I went in with such confidence, so it's been a huge bummer to have such a challenging experience, not only do I hope that my personal information has been deleted as per my request. It also puts me in a very difficult situation now of having to scramble to find another provider that can actually get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

The office staff is very nice. For any reason if I cannot answer their call, they leave a voicemail and send an email. I never had to try to get a hold of them. I refer almost all of my friends who are looking for professional tax specialists. I had to switch maybe 3-4 tax specialists until I was referred to this office. I felt like other tax specialists were just filing my taxes before just to get over with. They never asked questions about what is coming into my account and what is going out of it and for what purpose. Since this office is added to my QuickBooks, they analyze the account activity. I have used TurboTax and H&R Block in the past, years later I realize that I never knew all tax benefits that I was eligible for. I never got any tax returns. Uncle Sam would never give me. You can use self-service platforms only if you know exactly what you are doing. My situation is not that simple, I have multiple 1099 like forms, W2, tax forms from trading platforms like Webull and TD AmeriTrade from stock trading, so I need a professional eye to go through them. They service individual and corporate clients, so I believe no client is too small or too big for them. Give it a try!

Sandy Lefstein-Suchoff is a crook and a thief. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. During the pre-engagement period, Sandy was responsive and helpful. However, after I signed the engagement letter, key components of the originally discussed scope were omitted without adequate clarification. I take responsibility for not catching this in the final agreement--lesson learned. In a rush to get things done, I agreed to additional charges to complete my 2024 financials. Immediately after providing my payment information, my card was charged more than we discussed. While frustrating, I allowed it, hoping to get my tax returns completed without further issues. Over the next two months, I received little to no progress updates. Instead, I was asked for even more money, despite our flat-fee agreement. At one point, I received a generic email stating that my tax return extension was filed--but I never received confirmation or a copy, which is standard practice with every other CPA I've worked with. When I finally pressed for clarification, I was ignored for several days. Eventually, I was sent a letter explaining that the IRS had rejected my Form 7004 extension due to a software issue, and that a paper submission had supposedly been mailed. This was never communicated to me at the time it happened. By this point, I had also discovered that no bookkeeping work had been completed--despite already being paid for. I made the decision to terminate the relationship. As of today, I have not received any completed bookkeeping work. The only thing I received was a partially prepared tax return that I would never file, as I genuinely believe it could risk triggering an audit. In my opinion, Canna CPAs operates with poor communication, lacks transparency, and did not deliver on the services I paid for. Proceed with caution and make sure you read every line of any engagement letter before signing.

Tax expertise at its best! Back in 2025, I desperately needed to find a certified public accountant…read more(CPA) to handle my taxes. I had a sensitive and unique issue that could only be addressed by a CPA. But not just any CPA, I needed someone that was knowledgeable and would be able to defend their work in case of an audit. After searching around, I came across Ahad & Co and what a relief and blessing they are. I simply called them, explained my issue, then I was connected with one of their professionals. The CPA confirmed that it was something they could tackle and we began the process. At the time, I was working with Tarikur, an absolute treasure to work with! He explained what needed to be done, asked all pertinent questions, and guided me thru the process. In the end, I came back with an awesome refund, and greater than that, I had a peace of mind with regard to my situation. Fast forward to 2026, I did not hesitate to have them prepare my taxes again. Unfortunately, Tarikur is no longer there, but I was assisted by Akram. There were some delays but he completed my taxes before the deadline and his did a great job preparing everything. I found it very easy to review my return and understand his rationale for his preparation. Furthermore, I received a great return again and I could not be more pleased! Aside from my experience with the staff, I really appreciate their customer portal. There is no need to email anything because you can upload all of your documents to their secure portal. You can also chat with your rep, pay your invoices, and download your returns, all in one place. I especially appreciated that as a returning customer, all my documents were there, so Akram was able to see what was done last year. Super efficient! In terms of pricing, they will seem high if you are used to doing your own taxes or maybe you've gone to a local tax preparer. However, it's important to understand that these are true tax experts who can navigate any situation, so you're in good hands. If you are dealing with a sensitive tax situation and want a peace of mind, I highly recommend using them. I will definitely be returning in the future, even if I do not have a sensitive situation, as I truly appreciate their service. Thank you Ahad & Co.!

I reached out to them months later inquiring about the filing for another matter and they casually informed me they never filed them. They offered plenty of excuses, blamed me for filing them within the legal submission parameters (i.e. on/by April 15th), and offered zero compensation for their egregious error. They actually proceeded to charge me the full amount to file and even expected me to pay the late-filing & extension fees that I incurred as a direct and sole result of an accounting firm's inability to file taxes! Every single representative I have dealt with is allergic to accountability and deals exclusively in excuses. Shameful and unprofessional behavior all around... especially from Edderkys Gonzalez and the ceo, Ahad Ali. He is full of excuses all while admitting they screwed up. They offered $100 off of preparation service for this year...I immediately declined. Then they offered $200 off and I immediately declined. That is a fraction of what they cost me already from last year in late penalties alone and the ceo told me the absolute most he could discount tax preparation at his own company was $200. Clearly a lie. He's the ceo of a small, private, company...not the ceo of Goldman Sachs.
