So.... A lot to unpack with this meal. We had chips and queso and salsa. It was good. Salsa was spicy, but not too much. Queso was watery but had a good flavor. I had chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. Chicken fried chicken was juicy and cooked well. Not much gravy on it though. Mashed potatoes were good, but the bottom of the mashed potatoes had a huge black portion in it. Not sure if it was bad potato or just had stuck to a skillet or something like that. I did not finish my mashed potatoes. The green beans were different. Tasted like they had brown sugar in them? Not sure what that tangy/sweet flavor was; but was not very pleasing in green beans. I only had one bite of the beans and couldn't eat any more. The cornbread was sweet but very dry. Maybe serve the cornbread with a pat of butter for some moisture and added flavor? My fiancé had grilled chicken breast with a baked potato. She ate all of her potato and just some of her chicken. She said it was good but not great. She did try her cornbread. It was also very dry. We do enjoy coming to this place to eat. The bar area is nice and the beer selection is good as well. First time I had their chicken fried chicken. Probably won't order it again. My fiancé said it reminded her of High School cafeteria food tonight. I would have to agree with that analogy. Do however try their chili and if you like burgers, they have a good Mushroom and Swiss burger here! I saw there hasn't been a review here in a while and wanted to give it a try. My family and I visited CP between the lakes for the first time since we moved here and to be honest we didn't even know it was a restaurant until maybe a year ago because it really doesn't look like one at a quick glance driving by. We have little kids so we bring our own booster seats, I tend to request a booth if possible due to having the kids with us. I will say my only real negative here is the fact that the booth is super long (made for a party of 6 or more) and the booth seats are super far away from you. I had to hold the back of one of the booster seats so my youngest didn't send her face into the table since she could very easily tip herself forward with all the space. The hostess was very nice and we were sat immediately, our server met us at the table, and got our drinks almost immediately. We ordered appetizers and kid's food and the kid's food was probably out in less than 5 minutes it was ridiculously fast (in a good way) my kids absolutely loved the Mac & cheese one of my children quite literally inhaled their food. We quickly got our appetizers and I will say they were all good! We had fried mozzarella, fried pickles, and pretzels with cheese. My husband said the pickles were good but he doesn't need to get them again if we come back. I personally loved the pretzels and we liked the mozzarella they are massive but really good the cheese pull is 10/10 Now food my husband got the Smokehouse burger and he said originally it was 6/10 before our waitress brought him a sweet BBQ sauce to go with it and then he said it was an 8/10 personally I tried the BBQ sauce by itself and I was not a fan but thats personal preference. I got the chicken pot pie soup and a side salad which I give both a solid 8/10 - I did try the kid's Mac & cheese and can say it was probably some of the best I have had in a while definitely not a store bought type mac and cheese Now I did see a couple of reviews regarding the claw machine being an issue with their kids based on location but honestly, my kids didn't even notice it, it was all the way in the far corner of the restaurant. Our waitress was quick and attentive, and the location itself was fine other than the massive table size (I did request a booth thats on me) music selection was good. Otherwise, I think it's a definite win for us, especially with how close it is to us, and it's not all the way down in Providence. I will say we did sit close to the kitchen and I don't love that you can see almost everything going on in the kitchen at all times, if I wasn't wrapped in the kids it probably would have bothered me more but it was fine Overall location, food, and ambiance I would give a 7/10 read more

We kind of stumbled in here when we were driving around and couldn't decide where to go. What a pleasant surprise. We sat at the bar and while the bartender was very busy, he was still attentive and if he saw we needed something, would acknowledge us and tell us he'd be right back. Everything we ordered was fantastic! My husband loved the smoked wings, the pretzels and loaded fries were great, and the Reuben..... If you look at my Yelp tagline it says, "eternal pursuant of the perfect Reuben." No, this wasn't perfect, but it was damn close and is most definitely in my top 3. It was HUGE (as warned by the bartender) and fantastic! Prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food. This is exactly the kind of hometown bar & grill vibe us wisco transplants have been looking for. Can't wait to go back and destroy another Reuben (and try some other items)! read more

This place is perfect for a quick beer, burger and to catch the Preds game, but don't come here expecting anything fancy or a change of pace from the normal bar food menu. My wife and I stopped by for a "date night" while my mom was in town. We needed a quick drink and some kid free time. We sat at the bar and ordered a Philly cheesesteak to split and some fried pickle chips. The pickle chips were ok. My wife loved them, but I could have used a little more breading. The Philly cheesesteak was much better than I expected. Soft bread, flavorful steak and the classic au jus brought it all together. Highly suggest this item! The customers here seem to be on the older side, because my wife and I definitely got a few looks when we sat at the bar. That being said, I could see myself coming back here with a few buddies after golf, but I don't think this would be a regular spot. read more

They are good with service but they are overpriced for their drinks by far $8.11 for one Nutrl I can buy a 8 pack for 17.99 , now I do realize that's normal to a degree but a 6$ up charge ? UPDATE ON THE CORNER PUB SAGA! The owners daughter and I met for a very pleasant lunch and she was so apologetic! This young woman is the real deal who moved her family here to help her mom out, after the unexpected death of her dad a few months ago. She explained that she and her mom are very aware of problems and are aggressively working to make this the place it used to be. She further explained that the man who was so rude to us IS NOT part of ownership and has been dealt with. All in all, my husband and I were VERY pleased with our visit and were assured we were welcomed at any time. WE WILL be returning for more great meals to come. Please give them another chance to serve you. If you have any problems, bring them to their attention because they do want you to be a satisfied customer. They are really great people! read more

I've been to CO Between the Lakes several times since moving here. The food is all so good but the Reuben sandwich is the best I have ever had. It's huge too. The wings are my second favorite thing here. Large portion on everything. No frills interior but clean and comfortable. The wife and I went there today to see what they had. We were seated right away but that was the only good thing about the experience. Drinks arrived promptly but after ordering the food ( fish and chips ) it took a very long time for the food to arrive ( 40 minutes ) The portions were small compared to the price for the meals and the fried squash was inedible. I then made the mistake of ordering desert. It took twenty minutes for it to arrive at our table making us late for another appointment. If you've ever gotten a ( To go ) box for ice cream you know how that turned out. If you haven't, I don't recommend it. All in all, it took over two hours from start to finish for the meal. Started out fine with the new owners. The food prices went up but the quality went up so, ok.... But now, the prices are still high and the food quality has significantly degraded. A 14 burger with a bag of lays chips is not ideal. I know the economy/inflation etc is rough but if the corner pub in Green Hills (not Green Hill) is cheaper and your quality has suffered that's a problem. Claw machine in the dining room to hold parents hostage is a special touch. The symphony of toddlers who don't win anything (because who wins anything in a claw machine) was an extra special touch. Brisket sandwich was reheated/cold/tough. Husband/kids food came out 15 minutes after everyone else's and the waitress came over and asked if "everything tasted ok" even though half of us didn't have any of our entrees. Food was great but the service was absolutely awful. We sat in the bar which was not busy. As a bartender myself, I understand how crazy things can get, but I was completely ignored by 4 people. I went up to the bar to see if they were allowed to change the TV channel, and was looked at for a second before they quickly looked away. They continued talking to each other and taking shot after shot. Katie C was our server and she was one of the employees to take shots behind the bar top. I am extremely disappointed in the employees and management to make them think it's okay to take multiple shots in a row, ignore customers, and not even give them utensils. Ultimately: Meh. We tried several things to get a good feel. The service was ok, not great, not terrible. The ambiance is good for what it is, a "pub". We tried the nachos. They were well prepared and fresh, but lacked seasoning and an identifying taste. My wife's chili was good. I would recommend the chicken chunks, spicy and tasty. The reason for the mediocre rating is the lack of flavor on the nachos and one more thing. We ordered a Glass of bourbon, and received a sad small shot. We even called this out to the server and were still charged a premium price for barely any liquor in the glass. Ultimately nothing we'd return for. read more

We go to Corner Pub in Mt. Juliet a lot! We normally have a great experience, but not tonight! We arrived at 4:45 p.m. and it was not busy. Our server was really bad. We had this server when he first started and it was bad then too. But - he is still there. The manager, who was very nice, admitted that this server makes a LOT of mistakes and that she had spent a lot of her day so far picking up after him. So, why is he still there? The food is always good but the service is not always good. It took way too long to even get the water we ordered! Much less the food. This is unacceptable! read more

Finally had the chance to eat at Corner Pub in Mt Juliet after we were completely ignored at Burger Republic. Happy to say that the Corner Pub delivered with outstanding burgers. I had the Smokehouse burger with my wife the Bleu Cheese burger. They were char-grilled perfectly. The bacon on my Smokehouse burger was plentiful and extremely tasty. My wife only says her burger was "bleeping awesome!" We ordered crinkle fries which were fresh, hot and crispy. Service was friendly and prompt. Just right. At the end of the day, Burger Republic did us a massive favor by their lack of service...otherwise we would not have had the chance to experience Corner Pub's excellent food and service. Definitely will return to try the other menu items as soon as we can. Perhaps fish and chips? PS - we never order desert but took the chance on the Brownie Sundae. It was fabulous. read more

Haven't visited in a while so came for lunch. Wasn't terrible, but I was definitely underwhelmed. Got meatloaf, mac n cheese, fried okra. Meatloaf was REALLY greasy, grease was all over my plate. Mac n cheese was cold. Squash was okay but tasted like it was the frozen type. Cornbread muffin was cold (maybe this is their norm, but I prefer them warm if I'm at a restaurant).
