A plus was that the Kwik trip near it had the cheapest gas in the area. The outdoor fireplace was a great area to gather when catching some fresh air and staying warm. The rooms are a nice size and come with a mini fridge microwave and pod coffee maker. The free hot breakfast was actually really good. Loved the build your own breakfast sandwich. I will note this place is a bit confusing to navigate with lots of staircases and multiple ways to get to the same place. I would absolutely stay here again.

Google and Apple Maps clearly indicate "Pets welcome" and not dogs only. The young man at the desk even called the owner or manager who said no! On a positive note, as a dog owner I always appreciate hotels that are dog-friendly. Having a mini fridge and microwave in the room was also nice, especially having a young toddler.

It was so nice for my husband and I to have our own privacy and my 2 teenagers could hang loose and sleep when they were ready. That made a for a more relaxing stay. I did use the kitchen area to make a small meal for our family. Nicest part was not having to do the dishes. It included a dishwasher. The front desk staff went well above and beyond helping my daughter looking for a outlet charger for her tablet since she left hers at home. Only one small negative was that the pool is very small. We are planning to be in the La Crosse area next summer and definitely plan on staying here again!

I was told housekeeping did knock on my door to check and I told them I didn't need anything. However, I was gone all day until 9:30 at night visiting my very sick sister in the hospital. What was I told this ? Creamer substitute sits out for hours and is thick and gooey. Breakfast foods leave much to be desired. Will not eat it. I stayed here because my sister's apartment is in W Salem and it's convenient. Will not stay there ever again

The bar and restaurant is closed again, leaving the only option the rooftop. Last week I visited the roof top and found they didn't anticipate the weekend of activities in La Crosse. Every time we asked for a simple cocktail, it was oh we don't have cranberry juice up here,or simple syrup like it was unattainable?? It was like everyone was grumpy, like they were annoyed. I take this to mean the management is sloppy and the wait staff has to constantly improvise. It's not like the hotel has 24 floors? Asked for shaved Parmesan, for the pizza. The bar service acted like I was asking for moon cheese! Grudgingly they said no we don't have any here in the rooftop bar. At this point I noticed the manager standing sentinel and rather arrogant, stating that he "doesn't like cheese ", so I guess nobody does?
