A must visit gift shop before leaving Joshua Tree. They have just about all the memorabilia you can think of from candles, magnets, stickers, clothing, shot glasses, post cards etc. Some of my favorite finds there were their ethically picked sage bundles and also their selection of crystals. The shop is on the smaller side so if you come during a busy time, expect to wait in line as they're only allowing 10 people max due to Covid. I suggest going first thing in the morning right when they open. They share a parking lot with a restaurant next door, which was also great for breakfast! read more

This gift shop is on the way to the Western entrance at Joshua Tree national park. My family and I stopped here to get a souvenir of our trip. The shop is small and with COVID only 10 people are allowed inside. The shop clerks were friendly and helpful when trying to ask for prices or items. The shop has a lot of cute stuff but it was quite expensive. They have magnets, plants, candy, jewelry, clothes, and knickknacks. We needed showers! The ladies at the counter this morning were sweet as could be...we bought 2 tokens for $8 and had enough for my wife, our 3 1/2 year old and myself...what a deal.... after a day or so of camping and fire ring smoke and bbq ing there's nothing better than a hot shower and fresh clothes....the ladies are very friendly and accommodating.... seemed very busy at the time we got there around 10/30 am or so....we're ready for another day of camping and our son really feels a lot more relaxed...only his 2 nd time camping. Oh dear, oh dear, do I ever have a yen for National Park gift shops. At this one I got carried way and took home some haul. Chances are you will walk out with a momento as well. Don't forget to stamp (location hidden in the corner of the store) something with the date a symbol of the park, even if it is on just a piece of paper which you can glue to your scrap book. Not a "cheapy" store at all. Don't forget, it is not inside the park. It is down the hall. There is a little one also at one end of park (inside), I believe it is at the Cottonwood entrance. From the Northwest Gate, off Highway 63/29 Palms, the gift shop and visitors center are in the same building, as is a cafe. You can get your stamp there, if you are keeping a National Parks Passport. You can get reasonably priced and high-quality tasteful teeshirts and caps with the park logo on it...(I got a cap to help dampen the intensity of the sunlight)...AND most importantly, you get maps and great advice on what to visit from the rangers at the desk. Including a warning about the desperately thirsty bees in certain areas...and if you visit there, to turn off your air conditioning (we ended up not going to the bee areas)... From the Cottonwood Gate entrance, close to Highway 10, there's a smaller visitors center and gift shop with fewer items...BUT there's an excellent display about the types of rocks that we were climbing, which we greatly appreciated...and I bought a night sky map that illuminates under a red light (the kind you need to use in amateur astronomy)...AND a headlamp that illuminates red (for use in the dark to free up your hands)...both were VERY reasonably priced. So you can't judge a shop by its size. This little gift shop had what I've been meaning to buy, at a good price, so I went away a happy camper. TIP #1: At the Cottonwood Visitors center, you can refill your water bottle from the tap in the restroom...potable and cold. TIP #2: At the Park Blvd Visitors center, there's a cafe and box lunch is $11.95, convenient but pricey. read more

This is a great gift shop! National park gift shops are usually pretty similar in terms of merchandise - tees, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, books, that sort of thing. This shop had all that and more. Their shirt selection was awesome - they had several really cute shirt designs for women. They had lots of locally made items: incense, sage, candles, gemstones, soaps, crystals, and more. The outside of the shop is awesome - inspired by Western store fronts. Very photogenic! Super friendly employees too! read more

Love this little restaurant. We went to Joshua tree for a small vacation and the breakfast was the perfect addition. It was a fantastic traditional breakfast place that had many vegetarian options! We had the 2 eggs plate and the vegetarian chili cheese fries. The service was really good and the food was also really good! I will be coming back on our new t trip! read more

Thank goodness for Coyote Corner! This review is for their showers. First of all, I'm just happy this is a thing. When you're camping in the heat and dustiness of Joshua Tree, it's so nice to have a place like Coyote Corner to freshen up before you head home. Especially if you have a long 7+ hour road trip up north like my friends and I did. Make sure you go into the gift shop first to purchase your token. $4 is a good deal for a nice shower to get you feeling refreshed. Their showers are a lot cleaner than I thought they'd be and 7.5 minutes is definitely enough time. I'd still wear some flip flops/slippers though. There's a lot of room in the bathroom itself for your stuff and for you to get ready but it's smart to bring a bag for your stuff. There's no counters, just hooks. There's only 2 showers so prepare to wait a bit before it's your turn. Thankfully, there's shops and a couple restaurants around for you to check out in the meantime. There's even a set up nearby where you can take some photos for you IG models/bloggers/tourists, if that's your thing! One thing I'd change is adding a timer in the shower. I tried to go through my shower quickly because I didn't know how much time I had used already. I didn't want to be THAT GIRL with the soap suds still in her hair. But other than that, this place was so convenient and I'm glad it's around. read more

Lots of things to see, not that spacious just enough room for customers ro walk through. If your not into small areas and tight spaces this is not the gift shop for you. Cool souvenirs, gifts, etc. Overpriced, IMO...but I guess they can be because of their proximity to the entrance of JTNP. The ladies working were not friendly, but maybe because it was busy? Not sure. We were there around lunchtime. Something really cool we noticed was they have bathhouses/ showers you can use (for a small price)! This was my second time coming to the shop and my experience was absolutely lovely from the beginning to the end. I was helped by a pretty, stylish woman named Kristina. She was exceptionally kind and warm and made me feel welcomed. My interactions with her alone boosted the overall experience massively. They also have a lot of really cool desert themed art pieces for sale. Including a homemade garden (cute cactus plants made from felt and fabric), amazing pottery, cool necklaces, shirts, very affordable crystals both raw and tumbled (some I never have seen before) and much much more. CC has lots of good desert stuff... tees, bandanas, walking sticks and jewelry. There are too many items to mention, so with easy parking, you can walk in and browse. We find it to be a great place to pick up a trinket from each desert visit. read more

Not only did they have very reasonably priced goods that were not all "Joshua tree themed" but they had a myriad of crystals, palo santo, cactus candy, cards, and every day goods like chap stick etc. I loved the average gift shop feel of this establishment but make no mistake this place is a treasure. 10/10 a must. Here they have just about every cool little doodad, thingamajig, knick-knack, doohicky and whatchamacallit you could think of buying at a hippie-themed gift shop. Far out, man! The store itself looks like it's been there since the gold rush. The threads (at least the t-shirts) are cheaper than across the street at the Visitor Center, but they're also of the cheaper fabric variety. Bitchin'! But the grooviest part of this joint is that for not a lot of bread (just $4.00) you can spend 7-1/2 minutes underneath a steaming hot stream of water. I wanted to express my gratitude to the cashier that handled my transaction, she was amazing! She was extremely nice and professional. My mother in-law was a bit complicated, and she handled it very well. She was very nice and kind, she didn't roll her eyes like other cashiers has done in the past. She deserves a promotion! Good to bring small bag to hang from hook as there are no counters. Handicap bench and railing which should accommodate a wheelchair.
